A retired plumber in Victoria, Australia. Looks like the basics the same in Australia or the USA. Some differences in materials used but overall very similar. Good work, thanks for the video.
Nicely nice! And Neaty neat too! I wish I knew that tip on using gravel islands to level the pipe in the trench... I recall every excruciating hour I’ve spent shoveling and raking stone in a trench to get it level. Then having to stop and shovel the excess out of the way so I could level some more! Thanks Boss... if I am ever sentenced to have to do another, I’ll remember you!
Another awesome job done by the DIRT BOSS!!! Nice 👍 job Mike keep up the good work glad to see you’re back on site giving us the great content!!!!!!! Say hi to MAX and MRS DIRT BOSS!!!!!!
Nice work man. It's really interesting to see all the different septic systems around the country. You would think taking care of wastewater would be pretty straightforward and there would be some consistency to it but as with everything else in this industry, there's 20 different ways to do it depending on where you live.
Second one today, of course! (and I get to be #5 to view.) Place looks different with no SNOW! Hey, QUESTION: with water running (or not) in that system and how freezing it gets up there, are there ever freezing problems inside the pipe? YES, I know there's a pitch but as slight as it is. Dumb question but I just wonder. That's a hell of a lot of work YOU did in what a day! Thanks! Sonny
I have the same mount and it was starting to crack so I covered the whole thing in JB weld. It’s holding up so far but it would be nice to have a better quality mount
Buying a Bobcat t66 track loader, do you think ride command, reversible fan and 5 link suspension are important? Your opinion is important. Thank 🙂 It May do some brush mowing.
I mean no disrespect here but I knew a guy from your area that his famous word was a cuss word MF with a slang. I was literally waiting to hear you almost or accidentally saying it haha, no judgment at all the old man was funny as all get out and I worked for him for 5 years good dude as you seem as well. Nice video bud!
No it's actually a disadvantage More is less in this situation these systems are engineered for the existing soil content when we do the perk test then they draw up the plans
That is double wall septic pipe solid.. solid pipe for the trunk same pipe for the laterals but perforated.. schedule 30.. same pipe is frooting drains
Nice job as always! I am curious how the grey water in the septic doesn't freeze in the winter months if it's not about 36" below grade or below the frost line? Or is it that deep in your install? Thanks in advance.
@@mattteague7063 It does not work with any laser I believe and yes it is a magnetic amount I've tried on other people's lasers that were going and it didn't work but it could have been just their brand you'd have to do some research
Hey Mike interested in septic systems last summer i replaced two leach fields and my ? is what if any kind of license do i need to install new septic systems here in NY Onondaga county
that’s sweet new york let’s you get away with just laterals, that’s a no go down here anymore, jersey has us digging huge fields and trucking hundreds of yards of septic sand, i swear it’s a scam and these poor old folks practically have to remortgage their houses to pay for it...unbelievable. good job D-Boss!
Lol our state ri. , we did 10 foot gravel strip perimeter and complere ares. And under by 2 feet. So 15 triaxles of gravel. Then dig in your stone pipe trenches. For 25 yrs that way. No we can do them in natural grounds. If shitty soils put 6 inchs gravel under stone. But anywhere near the coast or 2 fot water table all .pretreat and sand filters. 30 grand.
That job looks to be dead nuts. Here's my take on the meaning of the phrase. When the difference between the actual and the required is 00 then it's dead nuts. It doesn't take a whole lot imagination to figure out what the zeros represent.

Hey Mike, Check out Smatree amazon for the metal mounts. I have a bunch of them and they work really well. Thanks for the videos and the education!

That's the way it's drawn up on the plans by the engineers always done them that way they always tell me septic water does not freeze
@@DIRT-BOSS Thanks for the reply.
why do you need so many pipes for the Leach field? is it based on the tank capacity?
It's based on bedrooms actually
What is the receiver that you are using for the boom? Im tired of getting in and out to check grade lol.
It's a Spectra CR600

What brand laser are you using
Do you need a D box in a single bedroom home?
You have to check your local code but I would say yes
How will the inspector see anything you buried the system as you were building it ??.
They only want to see the front and end caps.. but each town is different but check with your local codes
Hey Mike interested in septic systems last summer i replaced two leach fields and my ? is what if any kind of license do i need to install new septic systems here in NY Onondaga county
No in New York State you do not need a license but check your local codes
Thanks Mike I cant wait till spring really enjoy your video's very I have learned a ton from your channel Boss
DB how do you get away with 20" depth in NY?? What is the frost line?? Here in Michigan it's a 36" minimum!
Septic does not freeze !!
Septic dont freeze
In MI, EGLE says A minimum of 12 inches and a maximum of 24 inches of suitable earth cover shall be placed over the absorption system.
See if Abomb79 can make some metal parts for you.
