I personally think Svechnikov has the potential to score 50+ goals and 90+ points and I think he will surpass Aho in skill. Usually I am more biased for defenseman but with the upside and skill of Svechnikov it’s too good to pass up.
I'm pretty sure even if the Canes landed the #1 pick we would have taken Svech still, he's just the type of player we needed. Don't think there was ever a scenario we would have gone the defenseman route
Mr. PotatoHead not really, Canes already had one of the best blue lines in the league at the time, Canes needed someone who could put the puck in the net, and Tom Dundon said multiple times he would not take a defenseman early in the 1st round. I’m telling you right now, Svechnikov would have been selected 1st overall by the Canes lol
Decent video but some of your arguments don’t really make sense.... for example you saying Svechnikov’s ceiling being a 35-40g point per game player... he is already that at 19! Ceiling is endless for the best forward of the draft. Bouchard has had better development years than some within your top 14 as well, same age group crushes the potential argument. Highly disagree with u on svechnikov being behind Hughes. Svech has already proven himself in the playoffs and Hughes has played like 50 games... no brained
Do u actually have Kravtsov in and not Wahlstrom or Smith??? That’s just not right. Kravtsov was sent down from the AHL, then the KHL to the VHL, then he was benched in the VHL. he does not deserve to be in over them. Smith is amazing, and Wahlstrom looked great in his short stint with the isles, and I think his ceiling is higher than Kravtsov. Keystone Dahlin is an offensive defenseman... T-18 in points for D in the league...
As a canes fan, no... Like. no. Absolutely not. Ever.
Pretty sure we would have taken Svech 1st overall if we landed the pick hahah
@@CarolinaPride95 I wouldve taken Dahlin and traded Hanifin and Lindy for a forward.
I love you Joel !!
Highly disagree with u on svechnikov being behind Hughes. Svech has already proven himself in the playoffs and Hughes has played like 50 games... no brained
Hey! Rangers don’t need another defenseman!
And I’d say Wilde deserves to be close to top 15, he had an insane season last year.
Svech would still be 2 at least
Bouchard and Boqvist have very similar numbers so why Bouchard at 15 and Boqvist at 7
I just think Boqvist has more upside, it’s pretty much just guessing
@@OhNyquist Yeah, it's pretty early to predict this one still, but good effort. Redraft 1979?
Oh, you do not have Hughes over Svech. That is just a crime. Hughes is great, but Svech is phenomenal. I’m not in agreement with this re-draft, sorry.
Shaya Polansky agreed. Also, Dahlin is good, but I’d put him at 3rd. My top 3 would be 1-Svech 2-Hughes 3-Dahlin, but if he stays in buffalo and tkachuk keeps producing, I would put tkachuk at 3rd
Kayla Hockey Dahlin is a clear number 1 still. He has the most points ever before turning 20 and is extremely defensively sound. I think 1- Dahlin 2- svechnikov 3- Hughes
Kayla Hockey completely disagree. Dahlin is the clear cut #1. Not competition.
Kayla Hockey dahlin is clear cut number 1 he had 40 point season as a dman on a terrible team
Ok, I’ll put Dahlin at 1 bc he plays on a bad team
Zadina > kotka
I think it's too soon for 2018 redraft tbh
As a Blackhawks fan I would still take Boqvist over sandin Ik he’s good put l think boqvist has way more potential
Gotta agree Sandin is better
Hayton should be in the top 10
I must underate Rasmus Dahlin 😬 Guess i’ll have to prove myself wrong.
Wahlstrom is better than farabe (how ever you spell it) and he will have a better career. I think Dobson and wahlstrom were great picks
I got clickbaited
1 Hughes
2 tkachuk
3 svechnecov
4 dahlin
5 kotkiniemi
K switch dahlin with svech
Wahlstrom no in that is a descrase
Mack Baxter who would you take him over?
OhNyquist he is better then the guy on the rangers or any other person you picked after the islanders
Do 1999 2003 or 2008 redraft
All of the canucks fans be saying quinn hughes is wayyy better than dahlin, like no he isnt lol
Bro what are you talking about Andrei svechnicov should have gone 1st overall
