      @@martineshamzin7535 Yeah…and my heart still clenches thinking of what might have happened if they didn’t.
      They almost didn’t even meet up again. Bernard left first, to America, but Grandma went up to Canada first. Till family reunited them. It’s a sweet tale.

    This is one of the greatest movies ever ! Like others I love the violin solo in the intro - just masterful !
    Uncanny how that one soldier looks like Stalin.

    I often wondered why my mother loved this movie more than any other. Years later I discovered that her father's family may have originally been Jewish, but converted to the Ukrainian Greek Orthodox faith in about the mid 1800's.

      If you are a true follower of Moses then you should accept Islam because Judaism changed and corrupted. Jesus would not have been sent as a prophet to convey the message of worshipping one God. Similarly, prophet Muhammad would not have been sent to the mankind had Christians not changed their scripture and followed their desires. Islam is pure, authentic. It was not changed and will never be changed

      @@kamtarbol or maybe Muhammad and Jesus are false prophets. Maybe they were the one's corrupted the holy words of the Hebrew God to suit there needs and to destroy gods chosen people, thus making Islam unpure and false in its very core and roots.
      Or maybe it's just all a bunch of BS and you should just practice your faith quietly and let others do the same

    I love how they portrayed the rabbi. I believe that's how it used to be, but it's no longer like that.
    Rabbis of today are basically like kings of their kingdom, and it's desgusting.

      They have been that way for centuries. This is a tiny village. The Grand Rebbes in the larger towns were little kings.

      They are still our breatheren. Unfortunately, there are still Jews out there that don't recognize Jesus (Yeshua in the Hebrew tongue) as their Savior. So they still wait for him when he was right under their noses.
