I back-tested this mean-reversion system from 2012 to 2024 with all the parameters as discussed in video(with 1 Future Bank Nifty lot), scaling to 4 trades with SL of 0.4%, only intraday, timeframe 5 minutes, slippage of 3 points on each trade, it is giving loss each year. No restriction of trade numbers in intraday. In 2024 alone till July 18, approx. 1400 trades have been generated by the system. Expectancy ratio is also negative. How Vishal was saying that it is a profitable system?

Hi kiru, i wanted to test myself this mean reversion strategy but the RSI condition { rsi(14) > 60 TILL it closes below 40 } is very hard to explain to algo. Can you tell me how to write it in amibroker.
Just rsi14 > 60 and rsi < 40 is not enough

Thanks a lot for such videos. Just a thought, can you make such videos on commodities and currencies? Specially about how commodities behaves after 6pm and before that.(since liquidity comes after 6, would it be useful if we trade only after 6). And can we also have a data on relationship between NG and Crude price (may be on gold and silver prices too). I am a trader, any data on these can be really useful, as you are the only guys who can bring data on commodities.

Whether SL is 0.4% or 4% as 0.4% is a very very small figure and would be hit immediately

Hi 0.4% is on index level which is around 200 points. You shouldn't consider that on premium level.
