Must say I'm liking Kyle's style - both his beard and his presentation. Rafael is casual but forward, Preston is very engaging but this chap is very calm and chooses each word precisely.
Some added notes: 1) Beard Oil can smell amazing. I think of it as cologne with a purpose. However, if you don't like the fragrance it can be terrible to smell it all day. If possible I recommend sampling beard oil. 2) Most barbers can do beard trims and they are usually much cheaper than a hair cut. Definitely a good idea to work with your barber on keeping that beard stylish.
It's also very easy to make your own beard oil; combine almond oil and jojoba oil (you can find them at co-ops and natural food stores) with a couple drops of whatever essential oil you think smells nice in a little bottle, give it a good shake, and that's it!
The LPN05Fan I’m a younger, beard-interested individual myself, and I have a few tips for you, just in case any may help: 1. You may not be able to grow a beard right away. Everyone is different, and no one should feel bad for not being able to yet. 2. There can be a few issues young people experience with growing a beard. This includes increased patchiness, certain specific areas of decreased growth (for me it was chin primarily), and some hairs growing without particular pigmentation. 3. Hair growth can be very slow, even more-so when you’re young. Don’t get discouraged even if there are months of perceivably little progress. 4. You may need to shave off the beard entirely if too many non-pigmented hairs are present. Lightly pigmented hairs are normal at first, as the beard might have to grow in more for darker colors to be visible. I hope some of that helps!
As someone with a legal education that strives to be precise in word and efficient in sentence, Kyle does an excellent job in this respect. I love the different characters between Preston, Raphael, and Kyle.
For those of us with curlier and coarse textures, use a beard brush! The brush helps laydown the hair. I find alot of itchiness is the result of the hair either getting caught in the follicle, or curling back into the skin. Beard brushes can help lay the hair down as it grows out. And help with exfoliating the skin and helping the hairs release from their follicles.
I rocked a clean shave (head and face) for the last eight years. After just a week and a half in, my beard is growing rather fast. I plan on letting it grow in before I decide what style l want. Your video was awesome! Big up.
Boar brush is a must. No. 1 item in every bearded man wash bag. Brush your beard regularly from the very beginning of growing and you don't have any problem with itchiness. It cleans not only your facial hair, but what's more important, your skin under the beard. Brushing also stimulates the sebum production, which makes your skin nourished. So before you buy all the other beard-beauty stuff - shampoos, tonics, balms, combs - get a proper brush. Next thing is a beard oil.
Assuming that brushing boosts the blood flow in your skin, it may help, though I'm not a specialist in medicine. Anyway, it won't do any harm for sure ;)
I grow my beard out every fall/winter. Its always a bit rough at the beginning, but it usually grows in by the holidays. Then trim it back to a goatee once it starts getting warm out. Beard oil, which I discovered late last year, is really important once the cold and dry days of winter arrive
I like how you explained everything in a very calm way. As well as you didn't advertised any specific brand of beard growing related products, but just how to take care and grow your beard.
A nice topic that neither Sven Rapahel nor Preston could address since they have clean faces. Also, Kyle has improved his communication skills a lot since he joined the team, great work!
He’s a fantastic addition, it’s nice to have a version of men’s sartorial elegance represented that is more modern to balance out the other gentlemen’s more vintage inspired styles. It’s a great way to show men that they can have variety too (not to mention he’s incredibly handsome).
I’m working on a beard for the first time since college, about 15 years ago. As one might expect, it is growing in more fully, but I still find that my chin and mustache grow thicker more quickly than the rest of the face. I’ll definitely give it more time. Patience is key.
A new Dapper, well-spoken and respectable gentleman with an understanding for us POC guys! Make your own beard oil super cheap and you’d be amazed how soft supple your beard is and itchiness goes extinct.
I wear a full beard and yes men, it does make a huge difference! Where women would rather avoid me when I had no beard, now with full beard they seem to flock to me. Also for respect between other men I seem to get a lot more respect while having a beard, my opinions suddenly matter or even are used as final decision or lead example. Yes, people will comment on your facial hair even if it doesn't concern them or for that matter if you just decided to have it grow. People also often complain that you need to shave or that you look like a hobo and all kinds of other nasty comments while ignoring your wishes and why you attempt to grow a decent beard. Often this also comes out of frustration that these same people can't grow it, are married so they can't try to date you, jealousy, thinking they know better what's good for you then yourself, etc. So it's more on their side what they dish out and not so much your side. The eat healthy thing is not needed, just eat what your body needs to come trough the day and not more then that. It won't stop or slow your facial hair growth. I don't eat healthy, at least not to current day standards, yet my beard is full and looks good and healthy.
Interesting video! I live in a quite cold climate so my personal "tradition" is to be clean-shaven from May and the summer when it's hot and grow it out in the autumn for the winter.
@@cyrilio I live in northern Sweden, so it gets cold relatively early here, but I usually start growing my beard from October. September still feels quite summery to me and if I start later it doesn't have time to grow long enough for the winter.
I have to say that Kyle has improved a lot since his first videos... I like that, keep going. As a constructive comment, Kyle must practice to volume up his speaking.
Hey, can you here on the gentlemen’s gazette please make a video on the bowler hat, and stuff surrounding the bowler hat. That would be exquisit. Can you also make a video on wearing the top hat in a more casual way, Thankful for an answer. Interesting video buy the way.
The fact that you have a full beard is making me so jealous, I’m only 18 (19 in September) so I have the time but I’ve wanted a beard for a couple years
My dad was 24 when he first started growing facial hair now he’s 38 with a lumberjack type beard, I’m 15 and I have jack sparrows type of facial hair except I’m dirty blonde and my facial hair is more on the lighter side and more on the longer side
Good one y'all, it was an old wise tale and I want it to get cleared up since he spoke upon shaving the beard does not make it thicker and must be let to grow.
No it will not. However, shaving your face does not grow your beard faster. The hair that comes in after shaving is thicker on a clean face so that developed the rumor of "growing faster".just let it go, and let it grow.
I wish you also made it clear that not every man can successfully grow a full beard. I've gone without shaving for an entire year, and a full beard never grew out. It remained patchy for that entire time.
Growing a good beard is a discipline. I use a trimmer to keep mine looking clean. However, I have never considered using a beard brush before, so I am going to look into that idea.
Love Kyle on this channel. Good information on beard care. Only suggestion is to include that some men genetically cannot grow a beard. My honey can grow a nice goatee, but a full beard is a patchy mess. Go for what works for you.
Don't spend silly money on beard oils unless you really like the scent. Use argan oil. It's cheap and i've found it better than scented oils and balms. I've had a beard (in various styles and lengths) for 20 years, trust me.
Since I saw your first video, I wanted to ask for something related to facial hair! (I'm working on mine and is going kind of slow) Thank you for the video! P.S. I'm a big fan of Cole Haan shoes!

Sometimes the best thing you can do is to shave your neck. Even a patchy beard looks better when it’s made to look clean and intentionally grown. Granted, you don’t want to trim up to the jawline, but there shouldn’t be anything below the Adam’s apple, and you can go about two finger-widths above it and still maintain a natural look.

also beards can hide sagging jowls and wrinkly neck when you get older
Or a weak chin altogether.

Oils and exfoliation helps with irritation. I use coconut oil and I brush and it's really good.
