Equally as important as clothing is your face and your hair thus today's video.
Caring for your hair has a lot to do with caring for your scalp. After all, while hair follicles can be of different thicknesses and of different shapes resulting therefore in straight, wavy, kinky, or curly hair, the strands themselves aren't actually living. Therefore, proper hair care starts at the scalp.
Your scalp naturally secretes an oil called sebum which is what keeps both your scalp and your hair hydrated and healthy, therefore, it's important to know that different people have different scalp types. There are three types
overall, those being oily, dry, and normal.
We'll start here with tip number 1 which is to take lukewarm showers. Taking piping hot showers, while they can certainly feel good, will strip all of the natural oils out of your hair making it look dry and also more prone to frizziness and split ends but while you may think that the answer would then be to take a bracing cold shower, this actually won't help you a lot in the long run either.
Tip number two is that you're going to want to look for something that's sulfate free. The issue with most cheaper shampoos is that they'll contain compounds called sulfates. You'll usually see these in the
ingredients list under names like sodium lauryl sulfate, for example. The main point of these ingredients is to make shampoo foam more and create more suds because naturally, we feel that if a product is sudsing, it's doing a better job of cleaning things, it's just a natural human impulse. In addition to creating more bubbles though, these sulfates are going to take the natural oils out of your hair, which as we've already discussed, isn't a good thing.
Point number three is that you don't have to shampoo your hair as often as you'd think. Most men probably shampoo their hair every time they take a shower but this simply isn't necessary. Even shampoos that are free of sulfates are going to take the natural oils out of your hair more quickly.
Tip number four which is to use conditioner. When you shower, conditioner is designed to moisturize and protect your hair and also soothe and settle down its cuticles which are the rough shingle like edges around the central hair shaft.
Tip number five then naturally comes after you've washed your hair, when towelling off, be gentle.
Tip number six is also in the subject of drying your hair, avoid the blow-dryer. Not only will the hot air from most blow dryers lead to more frizziness and split ends, it's also going to dry out your scalp.
Tip number seven is to use the appropriate amount of styling product. Using product to add more life to your hair or just to do something different with it than it would naturally is a great way to change things up and enhance your look. Still, if you use too much product, your hair is probably going to look matted down or otherwise, unnatural.
Tip number eight is also on this same subject which is to keep your hair natural. What we mean by this is excessive perming, coloring, straightening, and so on is just going to excessively damage your hair.
Tip number nine is to use the right tools in the right ways. Hair is naturally delicate so it's important that you know how to style it without doing any damage.
Tip number ten is to get a haircut regularly to keep your hair looking neat and trim. It's important that you have a regular haircut routine.
Tip number 11 is to avoid hats, headbands, and other headgear that's too tight on your head. Putting on head wear that's too tight may cause decreased blood circulation to your scalp and therefore, your hair might be less healthy.
Tip number 12 is to avoid chlorine as much as possible. The chlorine that you'll typically find in swimming pools is very harmful to your hair as it's going to dry out both the hair and the scalp.
Tip number 13 here is to avoid excessive time in the Sun without headwear.
Tip number 14 is to avoid stress. Specifically, this is because stress has been shown to tighten the scalp and restrict blood flow, therefore, cutting things off to the hair.
Tip number 15 is, in general, try to stay healthy as much as
possible. Хобби

This man could both model for Ralph Lauren and also for a high elf in an RPG.
Elph Lauren of the Emerald Hills.
This guy is really growing on me, keep it up!
Thanks for the kind words! We all strive to get better at what we do every day, but it takes time.
I really enjoy these videos with Mr. Preston. I am glad that he became part of this channel.
I don't know why, but watching the way that you comb your hair is really satisfying.
This man gives me hope in humanity, done, said it
Hope in humanity for what?🥰
Preston have an amazing voice and pronuntiation, love the way he explain himself
As a gentleman with long hair I make a point of looking after my hair. It comes back to how others perceive you, having longer hair invariably shows all sins. I am very lucky with my hair, it grows dead straight so never have to straighten it and don't have to use any product other than shampoo and conditioner.
I would advise not only going to a barber / hair dresser every 4-6 weeks but find one you like and trust enough to keep going back to. That way you'll have someone that knows exactly how your hair grows and they'll in a much better position to advise you on what needs doing.
Thank you dear! Awesome video will forward to my sons!’thank you for being there with yr channel for men
Looks like a german scientist
suhail ahmed the best kind of scientists
He's German or Austrian he reminds me of Harold Lloy google him.
Very well presented. Glad this showed up on my recommended videos.
I was waiting for this for so long!
Thank you for the great videos I love them all. I'm going to share this channel with my friends. No one should have to miss out on these amazing tips! I'm subscribing -I need these tips- everyone needs these tips. Thank You!
Great video! I would like to see a video of Preston walking us through his hair styling routine.
Very helpful!! besides style and fashion, this channel talks about grooming and health. Thanks! keep it up:)
I love how you guys used Will Ferrell as the visual for curly hair, of all the millions of stock photos, you went with him.
Very rich and useful information in just one video. Well done!
Some tips are good for ladies too, thanks!
I'd like a video about how Preston does his hair! Keep up the good job!
Really helpful thankyou
Great video! Thank you for the useful tips 🙄
Another tip:
Sometimes the 2 or 3 in one shampoo (shampoo+conditioner+hair treatment) doesn't work very well. I used is for a while and my hair was really dry. Use shampoo and conditioner separately for the best results!
excellent video, very informative
This entire channel is set in the 1940s

Great Tips, "I did not know about the Sun putting hair in shedding mode"...Great Video😁
One of the best things I did for my hair was to stop using cheap plastic combs that have snags and are not well shaped. I switched to using horn and also hand made plastic combs from the brand Kent.
Kent brand combs are amazing.
Plastic is bad for your hair so a wooden comb is more recommended
carbon fiber combs are best imo, anti-static and super durable
I only use diamond combs with uranium tips
@@justagerman140 It is the only way to properly dress the Superman spitcurl.

There's a first time for everything, as they say. Not every video (or indeed, every activity) requires a suit! Thanks for watching.

You seem like you have a really thick accent that you're trying very hard to hide
Right when he started speaking I thought the EXACT same thing. He's definitely a spy for the Germans
he doesn't though. the OTHER guy on the channel, Raphael, is German/Brazilian and has an accent. This guy is from -- i think they're in Minnesota. But he did say something on a previous video about doing speech and debate in school, and about having a disability, so maybe speech therapy too?
Great video as always. Could you possibly do a video on how to dress when you go to see an opera/theater.
Great Video, now we also know how you look without glasses :D
Actually very helpful
Nice to see you in casual attire, Preston, very appropriate for the subject matter. Kudos
AMAZING!
Great video. Thank you.
What I am more interested in is that gorgeous hat in the background. Can I please get a make and model 😃🙏
I typically rinse my head off everyday and never use shampoo, haven't in years but I keep my hair low and I brush my scalp three times a week with a horsehair brush and that keeps the dandruff away
6:10 Tennis racket on the bathroom wall. Ahhh, style...
I really like this guy (Preston I am getting from the comments?). He has a really cool style. Have more videos with him in it (if he can manage).
The belt is very long past the buckle. Is that more classic that just to one belt loop beyond the buckle?
It is a small perhaps obvious point, but I wash my comb with soap and water after each use- both to remove any product and second for basic hygiene. I also finish with the fine side after starting with the coarse- and I never experience any tangles that way.
Preston is a blonde Clark Kent.
I find it odd that I have yet to meet a non blonde Preston, but I am sure they exist.
I've said this so many times. So true
I'm sorry, but who is Preston? I know Raphael but I'm not sure how Preston is related to him.
This man is not blond.
@@pedobear497 it's blond. darker blond. blond covers a range of hair color shades, not just pale white yellow blond.
Cholesterol & triglyceride medication caused half of my hair on top of my head to fall out in span of a just over a month and started growing back as soon as I stopped taking them last September and is still coming out heavily after showers although is just because my scalp is still rebalancing...
So how do you repair dry or chlorine damaged hair? Beard oil?
How do I groom my hairy back though?
Sir, for you it is a necessary thing to have a good razor and a kind wife.
I believe it is called a backshaver or backblade. It really is a great tool for your specific problem.
Just tie your back hairs in a massive ponytail, you’ll be fine.
Cheers Preston for da top tips 🤘🏼😎👍🏼
Good work
What hair products is Preston using? edit: it looks like he's using Groom & Clean
so on the times where i do use shampoo do i also use conditioner at the same time
Look at that slick hair. I didn’t know Preston was Italian too.
Nice video but there is one thing I don't get. Why do you have a racket on the wall in your bathroom?
💯 is nice.
Preston, love your hair! But i have to ask, what hair product do you use and where can you find it?
I looked up the tube he uses in the video, it's called *Groom & Clean by Suave*

What's the blue hair cream that you use in the video?

2:30: Oh really? I'm going to have to give that a shot. I definitely put some elbo grease in there.
Nice video! But... My hair is so oily, I basically have to wash it every morning! When I wash it in the morning, it's already oily again in the evening or afternoon! I tried to wash my hair less for a while but it didnt affect it.
Do you have any advice?
No
Buy a clarifying shampoo, ironically washing your hair daily is what makes your hair more oily because the scalp is producing more oil
I had issues with frizzy hair. I have very curly hair (as you can see) and all I did was to change from AXE all in one to shower "oil" and head n' shoulders men
Works great for me.
I haven't been able to work alot of hairstyles so I'll just hit it with a brush when its dry
preston is so cute! Xx
As always, great video. What product(s) do you use to style your hair, Preston?
I suggest always using clean fresh towels in the 🛀. 👍.
Guys- I would consider going with a Ph-balanced shampoo. My dad started losing his hair until he switched to a Ph-balanced shampoo (head and shoulders). He's now 70 with a full head of hair.
That's interesting. Could you tell me more about that? How did your dad find out about that Ph thing?
Where’s the shirt from?
Thanks for it.
By the way, it's normal to lose some hair on the top of your head at 20's and a bit later?
I got an APUSH teacher thats completely bald and he's only 26. He says he was balding at 23 so I think its normal
Well, my definition of "normal" is different from yours. :v
yes it is normal, if you are balding.
I'm bald but I like your channel enough to watch it anyway
You should still treat your scalp well
So do these tips apply only to white peoples curly hair or would it be good for 4c as well?
Y’all definitely live in Edina
Can I give a Very General bit of Advice from something that I Learned by My Mistake!,
Make sure You have more than 1 Comb/Brush!,
For years I had Grade Cuts & never needed a Comb or Brush & then grew My Hair Long(er) & Definitely needed a Comb but took it out with Me & Lost it on way Home & the next Morning Struggled big time to use My hands to get My hair Looking the Mess I Like it too!,
Now I keep a Spare at Home!.
Jesus you really did your research here with this on
I still have not figured out how to dry my 24" long mane...
Any advice on grey hairs?
Just do not dye them. George Clooney looks good in grey - Robert Redford just looks prematurely orange...
Finasteride + minoxidill
👊👊👍👍
Agent J productions does it work for you ??
how often should you wash your hair? is every day bad? even if you don't use shampoo and use correct temp water?
Some additional tips.
Shampoo that use only essential oils are more expensive than the rest; be prepared to pay a bit more.
Scrub using the tummy of your fingers, not the nails.
Blow dryer marketed with ion functionality is better than the normal ones with little to no extra charge.
Press your towels to dry; don't rub.
If you have a combined scalp type (oily & dry), there are products like after wash moisturizer to help combat multiple problems.
Nice combo today! As always.

In your opinion, can a gentleman have long hair? What styles would you say are the most fitting with long hair?
The Dollar Shave Club “Wanderer” collection does not have sulfates.
Helpful video, thanks for it! Preston, my advice for you is to go to the gym. Your posture doesn’t look great.
I don't think Preston has talked about it, but I think he has some skeletal differences that cause a different stance. It's probably insensitive of me to further guess the specific condition. Maybe some weigh training might help in some regards.
