Matlock bath 10mins away from us, our kids love it especially seeing the fish in the little pond next to the chippy as well, and yeah its our lil seaside town 😊, great videos guys
Hi you two. Me and my other half are visiting Matlock bath for the bank holiday. Glad we seen your vlog to give us some inspiration. We've just got back from West Midlands safari park and seen the Severn valley railway going past and thought wed give it a try. . Neither of us are train geeks but we had an amazing day there, if you haven't tried it, give it a go. All the best you guys ❤
Great video Charlotte and Shawn for a summer visit to Matlock Bath located in the beautiful Peak District! keep the good videos coming on the channel,Charlotte and Shawn Sanbrooke.😃😎👍👍👍👍
I love the theme park vlogs but this channel is great too and this vlog was really nice to watch as you can get the feeling that your bothing having a great day out and this area looks gorgeous!
Aw I love Matlock, I have so many fond memories of coming here as a kid with my parents. The Black Rocks were also a school trip staple as well as Thorpe Cloud, maybe you should do a vlog on that one too, great views from there! Definitely need a vlog of the illuminations, I loved that so much and took my children to see it when they were younger - A really special place 😊
Great vlog guys. It’s been a few years since I was in Matlock Bath but I do love it there, so much to see and do. There is a haunted museum/ nightclub there although I think the latter is long closed. I’ve done those cable cars “The Heights Of Abraham”, sure is fantastic views from up there. Nice vlog👏🏻
Hi Shawn and Charlotte Just watched your vlogg from Matlock and it bought back memories from my teenage years as my father was a scout master in my home town of Steyning in west sussex and every year he took the scouts away on a camping trip as money was tight for my parents this was often our family summer holiday. I think I must have been about 13 or 14 and we camped up in Derbyshire near to matlock he was going to organise a day trip to Alton towers but that never materialised although I think at that time there was only the corkscrew and original cable car there mostly the gardens back then we also visited Buxton,Bakewell amongst other places also went to the Crich tramway museum. I have only been to Alton on many occasions with friends since those teenage years obviously for one reason 🎢 so was good to see Matlock again and it bought back Happy times as sadly I no longer have my parents with me. 🤓👍
It’s like I am 10 again and being amazed by all the bikers that park up along the river and have their chippy’s. This was a regular place growing up and this makes me want to get back pronto! Thanks for sharing
Fantastic vlog, Shawn, I really love ones like these. I used to enjoy visiting Matlock Bath in the 1990s, especially Gulliver's Kingdom. It's a very nice and scenic place. I seem to remember a ride that went down into a real mine or cavern; then you had to walk back out.
Thanks for showing us this . Next year we are coming up to Alton towers and wanted to see other places in the area so looking forward to coming here now😊
That's a very pretty area! We used to have a big tree swing like that in our front yard at our old house. We would get going pretty high! So fun, I love swings and swinging rides like the Barnstormer at Dollywood.
I enjoyed that video, its a while since ive been to Matlock Bath, it is a lovely area. I think they do barge trips down the river during the summer as well. I look forward to you doing some more vlogs from that area.
10:46 Hi can i just ask, ive noticed that you have the same car as me. How is your satnav as i have used mine and its not easy to use when putting your destination in and when i went to Drayton Manor it took me to a farmers field near Drayton Manor. Ive seen in other vlogs that you use ways on your phone so is that better than the in car satnav?
Matlock is a great place to visit, it does get crowded and hard to park though. The heights of Abraham is a fun and educational place to visit, with the cable cars and afew cave tours and woodland trail, lovely cafe. Good opportunity for Charlotte and yourself with your future family for a gulivers world review 😊
I visited Matlock Bath earlier this year and rode the cable cars which was great fun. It would have been good to see some of the gift shops and arcades on your vlog as i didnt see those on my last trip as parking was tricky. Great vlog otherwise !
@@TheSanbrookeAdventures tbf I haven’t tried your chippy but the one I go to is the best I’ve ever had. Would love to see you and Charlotte climb Snowdon. Ever considered it?
Me and my dad used to talk about all the time an arcade there is where we saw the arcade machine mad dog McCree, years later we went back and the same arcade was still there.
This is like Stourport-on-Severn, also in the Midlands. Like Birminghams sea side but on the River Severn, also a permanent funfare there, adults allowed 😊 Severn valley railway etc. Defo worth a visit in the summer if you've never been 😊
Great to see a part of England I never knew existed! It’s looks beautiful there 😍 Have you guys ever thought of doing a bit of vanlife? It would be an epic way to explore! Lotsa love! 💕
Have you ever done the Heights of Abraham there? Great caves and cable car there. Matlock Bath overall is beautiful, it's like a seaside town, but not by the sea!
I love Charlotte's focus ... all the dusty things are nice but where is the ice cream??? Also at many of the boardwalk parks at the seaside where I live charge 25 cents to use a steel trough to go but if you needed more it is 2 dollars!! I know the rent must be high for the management but after all the snacks and ice cream from the boardwalk, they know you will need $2.25 to get out of the park! Nice drone footage, will you divulge the brand of the drone Shawn and is it 4K, looks like it.
BKphotopage, a coaster enthusiast in the Cleveland area, mentioned he's back in the classroom (mostly high school chemistry) in 18 days. The supermarket I work at also already has Halloween Candy and Pumpkin Spice cereal so it does feel like Summer is almost over even though there's still 7 weeks till the Autumnal Equinox
We need an on ride POV of the dodgy swing 😂 Those rocks do look steep, they remind me of some rocks near me in Yorkshire called “The Cow and Calf” (named as there is a huge area of rock then a little baby rock next to it hahah) it has brilliant views of the area. The legend is the calf rolled down the hill and destroyed a small town back in the day but that sounds abit made up if you ask me 😅 Matlock bath looks great and also reminds me of a little seaside town we stay in over in the Lake District called Grange over sands, it’s a great place and close to the big lakes. You should visit at some point, get Charlotte on the banana boat on lake Windermere 😂😂
Quick note Masson Mill Shopping Village closed for lockdown in 2020 and never reopened. Its operators went into administration, they survived but didn’t take it on again. The museum side still operates though and there is a visitor centre, tours and a cafe 👍
Whilst in Yorkshire why not visit The Forbidden Corner labyrinth which has follies and chambers and tunnels, its in the Yorkshire Dales, near Middleton.
