It's nice seeing Shaun get more into animals - I remember back in the early TPW days when he didn't really care about them, hehe. Looks like a great zoo!
11:27 I have been close to tigers and jaguars at zoos. The Cincinnati Zoo has an indoor cat exhibit building. One time I went and a jaguar started clawing in the air in front of us, but they have a plex glass window to protect visitors.
Most places that have Dolphins now, they are rescued that can’t be released or rehabbing for release. I think it is pretty much a law word wide for the most part. Same with most zoo animals unless born in captivity. I agree, if they can be free they need to be!!
Great video Charlotte and Shawn from Seoul Zoo, located within the Grand Park. This is a HUGE zoo, keep the good videos coming on the channel, Charlotte and Shawn. 😃😎👍👍
Great video Shawn and Charlotte. A great place to go in the UK is the Yorkshire Wildlife Park! I would really recommend it if you have any free time to go.
I think the best part of this vlog was seeing you guys at the amusement park on tpw, having seen most everything, and saying hey there's this zoo nearby, let's go check it out.... And wow,, what an amazing attraction to make an unplanned visit to! The zoo just looked massive.... Going up that chairlift and seeing everything off in the distance, I was wondering how you were going to get that far! Great vlog as usual! Two thumbs up, and more if I had them!
Great vlog of Seoul Zoo 👍👍😃😃 It was nice to see you include a zoo vlog in your Asia trip. I was definitely hoping for a zoo vlog. I would have never have thought that you would get into a zoo in Asia for a way cheaper price than back at home in the U.K. I thought the zoo looked great. 🐘🐒🐻🦍🦒🦁🦓 Hope you’re both having a great time in Asia. I have really enjoyed watching your Asia theme park vlogs so far over on the theme park worldwide RUclips channel 👍👍😃😃
Especially based on its orientation, this zoo is just very long where most zoos tend to form more of a loop. You might think Wildfire is a hike, but the Seoul Zoo is in the .2km/1000ft range longer (could be longer and might have rounded the customary Units. Not sure what the further point reachable by guests is from the entrance)
Considering Legoland Windsor used to be a zoological establishment, that is less than 2000ft/600m from the turnstiles to the Legoland Hotel by crow distance
Fantastic zoo! Shawn, the reason there are patterned/colored squares on the bear enclosure windows is to camouflage you from the sight of the bears. They are very aggressive by nature and you should be thankful they can't focus on you and Charlotte for lunch!
I don’t mean to be rude, I just think it’s important not to inspire fear of animals that really do not want to deal with humans except to eat their trash.
Wow what a spectacular zoo, amazing views and animals, really enjoyed this vlog, I cannot believe how cheap it was to get in. My local park is Yorkshire Wildlife Park it is a big park and flat and there are loads of baby animals at the moment such as Rhino, monkeys, cheetahs, tamerins and a dinosaur park but its costs £27 each on line to get in. There is a big wheel too and that is outside the park and that costs £5 each. There is also and amatronic dinosaur and pirate restaurant that you can go in, that stays open till late so it is better to go in there after the park has closed. It is well worth a visit and there is also a retail park and hotel on site if you want to stay.
My dad went to Africa quite a few times in his teens and 20's. His sister and her late husband once had a bed and breakfast in Botswana. Because of that, we don't hear from her much
Hi Shawn and Charlotte. What a massive zoo. Definitely worth it for what you paid. What a great choice to use the chairlift. Not good for my vertigo though 😁Take care. Nick
I think the zoo was better than the theme park, which did you prefer? I enjoyed the gardens from the sky as well, like you said you did not really need to pay to go in there as you saw it all from the chairlift.
Weird. I went there around 15 years ago. I think there was a crazy polar bear. There were meerkats, beavers, and a hell of a lot more animals, including ligers. Think also there was a miniature town. I found the enclosures too small. Theres so much space and land, that theres no excuse to build larger enclosures. *I'm mistaken. It was the Everland Zoo I went to. Also known as Zootopia.
Sun bears are actually kinda rare. They eat more sweets than other bears. Unfortunately their numbers are lower because of what they provide for traditional Chinese medicine. Certain bear parts are for men’s umm you know. Fortunately the trade has been banned in most countries including both the US and the UK. Currently sun bears are in most zoos in the states. We don’t release them back because every zoo is part of a breeding program and often they stay or the cubs when they reach sexual maturity will go to other zoos to help in their breeding programs.
The reason why it's such good value is because it's government-owned, and quite heavily subsidised. The kind of thing you could maybe see in the UK if Thatcher hadn't happened.

Thanks for your suggestion!
Amazing, Shaun! Even though I'm Korean, I never visited the Seoul Zoo, as I was focused on Seoul Land instead.
It’s definitely worth a visit!
Probably to stop the birds hitting the glass they have red ones at Liverpool fc on the new main stand we went on the tour and that’s what they said x

Looks like an amazing zoo,!
I’d visit Korea from the US just to explore this zoo. Amazing!
It’s amazing!
Wow! Opened the year I was born. 40 years this year

I thought they were to stop birds from flying through...
That is not accurate to bear behavior at all. The squares are to protect birds from hitting the glass.
I don’t mean to be rude, I just think it’s important not to inspire fear of animals that really do not want to deal with humans except to eat their trash.
Pretty plants¡!!!
Will you both come to Thorpe and see me soon as I really want to meet you both
We will be back in the UK soon!
They have Sun bears at Chester Zoo too.

My husband worked in Korea but we never got the chance to visit the zoo…so wished we had, what a place!
Amazing vlog
Get out there and keep on safarieing 😁😅💁♀️🐐
Hi 👋 Shawn and Charlotte
My dad went to Africa quite a few times in his teens and 20's. His sister and her late husband once had a bed and breakfast in Botswana. Because of that, we don't hear from her much
Wow
Ow kool to see all these animals 😍
It was a fantastic zoo!
Got sun bears in colchester zoo
Hi Shawn and Charlotte. What a massive zoo. Definitely worth it for what you paid. What a great choice to use the chairlift. Not good for my vertigo though 😁Take care. Nick
It was fantastic!
You are my my Seoul brother.
Hi love you guys
Thank you!

They were both great!
The currency is the main thing that surprised me the yen prices seem extortionate but converting it to the pound is cheap as chips
Beautifully laid out zoo and park. Those chair lifts provide fantastic views. Great location and vlog guys👏🏻
Thanks for watching!
If I'm not mistaken the squares on the glass are so that people realise it's glass and don't run into it

The roads and pavements beat the Uk. Especially Stoke-On-Trent 😂
hi shawn charlotte
Edinburgh zoo has a Sun Bear - very long tongues
What a incredible zoo! Everything was well kept and great welfare standards with the animals 😊
We had a great time and really enjoyed it here!
What was your best animal
Love the giraffes!
Good they brought dolphins back to wild

We have sun bears at Noah's ark zoo near Bristol.
Have you given chopsticks a try since being in Asia
Definitely not for us 🤣
What is your favourite animal and why
I love giraffes!
The reason why it's such good value is because it's government-owned, and quite heavily subsidised. The kind of thing you could maybe see in the UK if Thatcher hadn't happened.
We had a great time here!
Is it bigger than London Zoo
Yes!
