It’s RIDICULOUS how VALUABLE this video was, absolutely love it and learned a lot, hats off to you Parker, great inspiration 🙏🏻
No
I had a friend who took me on a lead to a potential client. They wanted me to film an “event” for free. We had one meeting about it, I asked a bunch of questions about the event and how they wanted the video to look. Long story short I didn’t get much out of them. So I show up to this “event” and it’s literally just elderly people driving up to a tent and getting food handed to them through their car window. I tried to back out because I knew the shoot was going to be pointless but I let my friend talk me into it. I think like 3-4 cars showed up and I had like maybe 10 minutes to shoot them a montage of something they didn’t even have a vision for. I was under the impression this was going to be happening for a few hours as they said it’s their biggest event of the year. I went to swap out to another lens after getting in some gimbal shots. Came back out after like 4 minutes and it was over. Needless to say they didn’t hire me for future projects and the video was trash and they expected something to come of it from a 10 minute “event.” I guess they decided to fork up some cash and hire someone to make them a promo video. If I had to give any advice it’s that if you’re going to do free work then make sure it’s for something you enjoy and know will turn out. If someone is begging you for free content then walk away.
I feel like this video is in response to the video that was critiquing your course. Well done Parker. Your success isnt an accident, you deliver the goods and we are thankful that you are here!!!! Keep teaching us newbs how to do this thing we love!!
@@fulltimefilmmaker what video? There are hundreds reviewing your course?
Bme Films. There are hundreds of critiques, which one are you referring to?
@@nicholasolivas317 I’ve purchased his course and have picked up clients in my area. I haven’t had time to post to my reaction/motivation channel because I’ve been so busy with work. I definitely recommend it.
I have a client in the gaming/supplement industry working with influencers & Im working on a contract with a skydiving company. It’s hard work, but it’s worth it.
I need to take his advice and make a RUclips business page though.
Parker Walbeck is 100% back and I love it 🔥🔥🔥🙏🏻
Woohoo
Appreciate your effort, transparency, and honesty. Truly a breath of fresh air and motivating me to remove all toxic attributes from the way I do business 💚
I bought fulltime filmmaker about 4 years ago and last year I quit my day job of 8 years and went full time. This course really helps. Plus I will say networking is def key. and also creating a great experience for your customer. I feel like thats why my customers keep coming back.
I suck at networking. That's why I'm barely making it as a filmmaker right now...
This video has been so helpful to me and my videography business and it SHOULD have millions of views but people don't want to hear the truth to what it actually takes to grow. It takes hard work. You have to have patience. You're going to fail at first. That's all part of it. Having a strong "why" is very important. It's going to take time, and if you're not will to put in the work and do all the little things you need to do to grow your business, you will not stand out. Thank you Parker for this video. I've probably watched this over 30 times. Good to have a reminder of where I may be lacking in my own career. God Bless you!
I’ve watched many of your videos over the years, love the content/tips/reviews but this one hit differently! Super informative, and practical for use in business/life, not just videography. Thank you.
I'm not a videographer but a singer, songwriter and music producer.
The thing is, i can use every bit of information that you shared and can ultimately use it to increase my productivity, manageability and also to grow my business as well. There were lots of diff aspects on which you talked about and i really do have to think about and work on those myself. Having a vision or a plan is the most important thing. Thank you so much for helping. Really appreciate it.
Great job Parker. One of your best EVER. Nicely done, sir.
Parker never came off to me as introverted but hearing him say that he is/was makes me feel at ease because I’d consider myself introverted so it’s a challenge to get in someone’s face and try to sell myself or my service. Over the years I’ve gotten much more comfortable and confident and I’ve taken trips down to Miami and walked into random businesses, I’ve showed my face and met with the owners etc. to build that connection.
I’m a strong believer of getting up off your butt and going in now. Makes a very big difference.
Excellent video! This really puts into perspective what it takes to build a successful business in filmmaking. It's awesome to hear this stuff from someone who built their success from the ground up. Thanks for the video.
Thanks so much for this video Parker! This course section is sooo good, i am glad you include this and not just the technical, because it is just as important for success!
Peter!!! I tell this to any and everyone who cares to listen! You are the best instructor on this platform. Hands down. Your communication skills is topnotch!! Great video!
This is one of your best videos Parker. Thanks for sharing!
Parker your work is so high quality and so so helpful! Loved that family and faith portion and something I can relate to. Blessings to you. Thank you for the high quality advice!
This video is the embodiment of everything you are talking about in it. What a great business exemple. I know you'll drop value bombs in this course. Great job man, you convinced me into getting it 😄
Super stoked to see this course launch! Been realizing I need to work more on my business than in my business recently, excited to dig in and grow
I have so much work to do in correctly several of these issues I have on this list. Love y’all’s stuff! Keep killing it!
Could not be more grateful for be able to watch and listen your advice on the business side for creators and freelancers. Is easy to focus on the practical side and leave or forget the business side or lets say better neglecting this part. We should be able to put the time and effort to become business brands that should be the way rather than one man band or mini production companies. This video came at the right time!!!!Thanks for sharing it and inspire us!!!
Waited for Video like This so long.. Thanks Parker
Amazing video! Really helps me out and investing in fulltimefilmaker right now. Thanks Parker!

Wow amazing video. Thanks a lot for the insight & knowledge!! I started my company journey a long time ago and never had anyone to teach me.. just learning along the way. This is great info to know for someone just starting out.
Man you're always on point, giving and benefiting without bs-ing. I'm doing this still out of passion, not even knowing if it's any good.

Parker I bought your course three and a half years ago, best investment I ever made in my video business, thanks for continuing to give back

Amazing video content. Will definitely look forward to the coarse in the future.
Awesome video. Maybe one of the best in the business series. Especially the "Time management sections and the Consuming more than creating"WOW! I took many notes and watched it twice. Nice work. Time to create.
most useful video on this platform IMO. At least more useful than anything I ever learned about "business" in business school. Thank you for this video

You make 50-100 times more money than I would have guess. CONGRAT DUDE!!!!
I appreciate when content creators show the money they make.
It gives "simple mortals" an idea of what it could be if you are very good and you are working hard on something.

Probably the most valuable video out of the entire channel
This is an amazing video, I have learnt alot, I'm happy to have stumbled in your oage❤❤
This is a complete course. Thanks Parker.
next to our RUclips channel, we started doing paid work as editors and through that work just recently had the opportunity to shoot an event and an interview. For that we rented out a second pro camera and invested in a softbox and the DJI Mic system which is a game changer. Renting good cameras for high quality gigs costs next to nothing and ups the production value immensely. One thing we do to overdeliver is that we did not mention doing photography, but decided to get some good still shots of speakers and groups. We surprised them *the next day* with lightroom-edited full frame pictures for free, and now we're working on the video edit, which naturally takes longer.
Missed you on this channel man!
Since Arthur gave such a great recap, I will keep this short and sweet.
You can apply these principles to life.
I am a Sr. Lead Information Security Analyst. Most of the "rules" can be applied directly to my life.
Rule 3, and 4. How do I meet people in my field. Get involved so people know my name in a good way when they think about information security, or whatever job you do. Are there organizations, or annual conventions you might go to? You meet people, network, and opportunities will present themselves.
Rule 9. This one is easy. What does my resume look like. Did I finally get that masters degree? How about those certifications I have been working on? Are there things in your career that will put you to the top of the stack for a potential job? In my case there are many companies that demand certain certifications, just to be considered. Get those to give you a leg up.
One of the best educational videos I ever watched
What an amazing video. You motivated me a lot!
Great, refreshing content. Thanks man.
Great video as always, Parker! You and FTF inspired me to quit my management consulting job and pursue a career in filmmaking. Best choice of my life.
This is literally GOLD
Thanks a lot, this really helped me to shape my business into what I wanted
Thanks buddy lots of new things to learn ✌️✌️🥰🥰🥰.
This is by far the most resource creative juice you've given that is purely logistics.
this video is a 11/10. excellent thanks so much! God bless u. Very motivating!!
This is a great vid, much thanks!
This is similar to photography and I am making a bunch of mistakes. Mostly in marketing areas and a bit of disorganization/ time wasting. Also, definitely trading money for time.
Will reevaluate a bit.
Man! Thank you so much!!!!!!! Parker!
Needed This!
News from Parker! Very much welcomed
This is some GOOD stuff! I recently got my first gig since i bought my camera and the guy that basically connected me had pretty much cautioned me against offering my services for free even in the first instance. I decided to give it a go anyway, no work as a result of that yet but it's still early and i'm still fresh 🙏🏾💪🏾
So much value in this and not only for videography. I make beats, and almost all the steps he is talking about here apply to how I can improve my beat-making business
Thank you so much for sharing your valuable experience
This is gold. Thank you
This video is amazing. Thank you so much!
Thanks bro for the most details and logical comparison between 13 pr vs 14pr so far. I myself currently use the 12 and was reluctant to upgrade to 14pr this year. Thanks for all the review and I was ending up with 13pr and totally happy with my choice so far. Peace and Cheers! ✌
This video is great and fill with a lot of value… (plus now i feel closer to buy the whole FTF course hahaha so it worked!) THANKS PARKER 💪🏼🤗
