This may be the "ultimate" of your episodes.
Your channel seems to be bees in the wild versus the animal husbandry that others post.
But this one was pure National Geographic. You happened upon this miraculous evolutionary masterpiece. No hands on manipulation. No wrangling.
And then to capture on video the march of the queen into her new queendom.....I can't think of how more eloquent the experience could have been.

I am 71. In the late sixties early seventies my father became a beekeeper at the age of 50 in order to support the almonds he planted. And he needed a secondary and tertiary income since we had just started the farm. It is amazing to watch beekeepers just go into a swarm of bees and not be concerned. I learned a heck of a lot about bees and it's all amazing.

We used to have bee equipment in our garage on the farm (where i grew up) and usually on a Sunday afternoon, a swarm would land on the drive way close the the garage and start marching into one of the empty hives. (we usually left a little comb starter ready for them. By Sunday night they would all be in and we'd carry the hive to where the others were.

My wife is so petrified of bees that I can’t even show her your videos. Freaks her right out! A yellow jacket goy her in the arm pit many years ago and she still hasn’t gotten over it. You have a damn good eye for the queen, I find I can’t pick them out with so many moving bees around but when you focus in on her I see the difference. I hope you have a good year with many videos. We became interested in beekeeping & learning about all things Honey🐝s after watching videos from Yappy, Rooster, & the others in your circle of friends. During the winter of 2022, we spent our evenings watching YT & learning from you guys. We realized quickly how important it is that we learn from those who have a passion for the 🐝s rather than those only in it for profit.
As of right now, all of our hives came from a swarm that we removed. We are in NE Indiana so our swarm season is a bit later than yours, but we have already had 1 successful removal last week, 2 so far this week with another one tomorrow. We now have 10+ hives & we continue to add more with each swarm removal. Grateful we were able to build our hives without paying for a single bee.
You've taught us how different each swarm can be & the characteristics that are important to pick up on. No matter if it is a simple ball on a shrub or a well-established colony inside a dead tree, we can always find a Yappy video to help guide us through each new scenario we encounter. Your explanations are perfect for me because I have to know "the why" in every situation while my husband is able to watch what you do & replicate it...best of both worlds! We've learned more than we ever dreamed. Yappy, thank you for instilling confidence and encouraging us to move beyond just a "new hobby."
We are so thankful we have found our new passion & also proud to play a small part in helping to strengthen the bee population & strong genetics within our local community.🐝❤️🐝
This video is a perfect example of your appreciation for the beauty of the swarm & the care you take to protect our honey🐝s.
    Thank you, Yappy!!🤗

I've considered trying my hand at it now that I'm of retirement age, and am attending groups of beekeepers locally (central Texas) to see whether it's something I can realistically pursue. Congratulations on your new "tenants" - clearly they know a good landlord when they find one!

    What a wonderful site.
Had a similar experience a couple of years ago. Only difference. The equipment they moved into. Was in a shed. With the doors basically closed. (small gap under doors) So much fun to watch.
Keep the videos coming. Always fun to watch.

What makes them chose a spot to land? Do they recognise a beehive for what it is? Annually we have a couple of swarms pass our home , if I was to purchase an old hive and place it inthe garden, would they stop by?
