Please don’t be misleading: LLMs do NOT generate images but only text. ChatGPT generates images because it has integration with DALL-E (model to generate images)
First make a little research about ReaLM.. that is Apple AI model what already can do more things like ChatGPT with less definied words, so it's better fit for on device AI things (because of the smaller rewuired size)

Bought a Mac Mini 2 + Apple Studio Display two months ago to replace my 14 year old iMac - which was working perfectly. I'm sooooo pleased and satisfied.....

@@inamulbhuyan the grafic is not as good as apple grafic.. X elite might be a bit powerfull in term of performance (12 core vs 8 core) from apple base M cip, but we don't know yet how its fully perform because it will used only ARM windows, not like the x86 windows..
@@LeMatt87n Moved from S. Korea to Canada and did not want to ship an iMac which is no longer supported and is considered vintage. Sold the iMac for $300.00 which had been upgraded with a 500 GB Samsung 870 EVO and 16GB of RAM 🙂
I bought a base M1 Mini in early 2021....replaced my Mac Pro 4,1 as my daily driver and still going strong.
Should I purchase the current Pro Display XDR now, considering uncertainty about potential delays for the release of version 2, which might not launch this June as expected?
Studio Display 2 > Pro Display XDR 2. Better yet? Give us both, as either screen is lagging a bit behind Apple’s on screen tech stack.
That would be fantastic if they could actually pull off the Extreme for the MacPro! Finally a worthwhile way to distinguish that machine.
Thanks. Glad I watched this deciding between an iMac M3 or Studio M2 Max with the studio display. On a very old iMac 2012 using Catalina so will wait now to see if the new Studio comes out.
Creating new chips for the ultra and higher tier make sense.
Mac Mini, Mac Stdio and Mac Pro don’t need efficiency cores, so go full performance cores sound awesome.
Vadim, I like your theory about the Ultra and Extreme. The problem with the original Ultra design is that combining 2 Max chips scales up CPU cores and graphics cores together. Doubling CPU cores is not as useful as doubling (or more than doubling) graphics cores, because AI, simulation and even high-end gaming demands more silicon area devoted to GPUs. After all, Apple silicon has been at a disadvantage relative to PCs with separate Nvidia GPUs that have big dies. I expect the new Ultra will mostly add GPU cores, and the Extreme might even fuse the Ultra to a second chip that’s mostly a GPU.

The Air needs to go away. No reason to be charging $1000, for a computer without active cooling. The price increase for manufacturing is nominal. It is all about maximizing margin, at the expense of creating value for the customer. The Air line (at this point) is PURELY to be seen as giving every one the notion that they too, can own a “premium” product, at a “friendly” price point, and to ensnare users into the ecosystem and grow the services side of the business (reoccurring revenue). When in reality, they offer a substandard product (the Air) for a premium price tag given what you get. It’s all sales and marketing. And the comments under this thread show how effective it is. You all are defending it. 👀. I used to have a 2016 Air, with the Intel i5… Under $1000. Guess what it had?… A FAN! 😅…. The new Airs sporting the M chips, are not value creation products. They are value extraction product offerings. In fact value extraction is Apple’s current pricing model. They’ve always costed more, but it has crossed over into stupidity at this point.

no need as Apple is playing the long game...they know about the 2nd hand market of macbooks, iPads and iPhones
I hardly think an image proves no interposer on the die, if you remember earlier M1 chips had the interposer photoshopped off. Plus a monolithic die >860 isn't possible for a variety of reasons, including yield, hence why they have to stick two M2 together and will in all likelihood do the same for M3 Ultra.

yeah, exactly my thoughts to the new chipdesign for nonmobile pro-devices (M3 ultra/extreme). The new M3-Ultra is a new chipdesign with an interconnect and without efficiency-cores, and the new M3-Extreme is two M3-Ultra combined via the Interconnect. This just make sense... leave out the mobile/efficiency-compromises, to get a pro-only-design für the Mac Studio, and a MacPro-workstation above the Mac Studio. With this step the lineup would be complete.
Could it be the merged WW also hints at how two ultras can be merged as one single chip.
That means the M3 ultra will be super expensive, given that Apple will not be fusing two chips to make it.
Who needs an M3 extreme, who needs that amount of power??? The masses don't need that.

Something strange here. The narrator mentioned 7K resolution but the graphic lists 6K resolution. I wonder which one it’s going to be. Will the new 32 inch display be supported by the M2 Mac Studio?
This is pure speculation, but is there any chance that the M3 Max chips could end up in the Mac mini form factor and the M3 Ultra chips end up in a Studio like form factor given that the efficiency cores are going to be supposedly removed from the ultra chips. This would imply a much higher difference in performance between the M3 Ultra and Max chips than currently exist in the M2 Max / Ultra architecture. This would also imply that cooling would be sufficient for the M3 max chips in the Mac mini form factor.
Not likely, even if the Mac Mini could conservatively handle the M3 Max chip heat dissipation (which probably would require software throttling the performance under moderate to heavy CPU/GPU workloads). I say, not likely, also from a marketing and pricing standpoint. Although some users might like an M3 Max Mac Mini, the Apple pricing would push this config even further into Mac Studio territory, and create a bit of “buyer” confusion over which to buy. Additionally, Apple figures the M3 Max buyers are “power” users and these buyers would want the extra Thunderbolt ports and SD card reader that’s available in the Mac Studio. Finally, creating a new M3 Max PCB and marketing configurations has cost ramifications from a stocking and long-term support perspective that probably isn’t worth the cost since they can just push the customer to buy the existing (or coming M3-based) Mac Studio.
What about the new iPad Pro? My iPad Pro is broken and I’m sick of waiting. I’m starting to think I should get the 2021 model because I’m starting to give up on a new iPad this year.

There are rumours that the M3 ultra and beyond will be the first on N3P platform (as opposed to the N3B) that the current M3/M3 Pro/M3 Max are on. That would also explain why you can’t pair two m3 Maxes together as the new chip is on an entirely different platform.
I think you mean N3E instead of N3P. I've seen the same thing with rumors on the chip possibly being first to use the N3E node.
Maybe Mac Studio will no longer have an Ultra chip so that there’s better differentiation between it and the Mac Pro? My theory.

Apple could be hinting at the possibility of releasing their new chips, which are rumoured to be joined seamlessly with no strip in the middle, hence joining the letters.

If I were to make a phone, I would use samsungs screen and cameras but the cameras will have apples sensor, I would also use apple speakers for the phone since they are better, for the processor I would use a snapdragon chip. Depending on which phone model u want, I would put both apples face ID and samsungs on screen fingerprint reader

I wish Apple would add a decent review system to Maps, because it's annoying having to leave the Maps app to see reviews on Yelp. I love the styling on Apple Maps, but Google Maps is still better in every other way.
I feel like Apple is missing a big opportunity by not releasing an SE 4 this year. The economy sucks and people would buy a 400-500 dollar new iPhone with modern features. The iPhone 13 sorta fills that spot right now at 599, it’s a great option but they should target 399 again.
The MacMini won't get M3 chips. They will probably go straight to M4.
I think, mini might get the M3.. last October, apple just focus on macbook 'pro'', then early this month, apple just upgred the macbook 'air'.. so maybe next apple will just focus on apple's PC unit

man, i think you're extreme(ly) wrong about the chip, like all of your takes from the mac mini, to the pro
first off, this was a move to a new node, the yields might not have been great so, keep the chips in product lines with enough margin to buffer that, and also to temper demand
second, the pro, what is the pro lacking over the studio, well, that is the ability to put in modules that suit the work flow,
yes, there are some great USB3/4 dongles and attachments that are currently doing the rounds, but a real professional, they like an all in one system, so extra graphics acceleration, maybe a sound processing module or connectors that allow boards to connect directly
they also like to have a short run, (so the computer) close to the equipment, so low noise (which is why many a sound studio will have a system that is deeply overspecced, so that it is in effect passive during the record, or playback phase, but might ramp a little for some work flows, but overall the sound is low, oddly a reason some places use the macbook air)
so if you're apple, and with the way that AI is, and everything, why wouldnt you have a card, or add on in the works for your imac pro, that lets you add more processing be that graphical, or AI or something else, throw a metal card in that is in effect another m2/3 chip that is stripped do to the cores needed for those workloads
also, e cores, still needed in a modern powerful computer, it helps spread the work load over the chip, and a couple of e cores makes it soooooo much better, i think you wil find a system that is 12 p and 2 e cores is overall better than a system with 14 p cores

The “Samsung/Google has had it for years” is beyond old. There are features that others copy from Apple but no one mentions it the same way. Just because they have features first doesn’t mean much considering features in OS or hardware are buggy or fragile where dust scratches the screen.
