    Y'all are going about it smart saving $$ and the environment. One thing I would mention, I you find yourself out of the washing soda, it can be easily made from your baking soda, Just spread it out on parchment paper on a cookie sheet, and into a 400f oven for 30 min. and you'll have homemade washing soda.Thanks for the upload. Peace be with y'all. 👍

    I make homemade detergent at home and we love it. I do not use the borax do to sensitivity issues but my clothes come out clean. I put 1-2 Tablespoons of vinegar n the softener part of washer. It helps to make sure no residue is left on clothes. Also made some dishwasher detergent and so far so good.

    I used our food processor once to grate soap & regretted it ! It created a great deal of dust ! I even threw a towel over the food processor but wow, that soap dust was awful ! So, now, I grate soap by hand.

    Can use in high efficiency machine washer?

    • @hippybabe
      @hippybabe 7 месяцев назад +1

      YESJust put the amount needed on top of your laundry. (Assuming you are using the dry mixture.) With my hi efficiency front load washer we have to be careful not to get the powder near /on the rubber gasket on the door. We also dont use any scent in the wash cycle. We do add a few drops of a scent to the dryer balls.

    Soap hasn’t been used to wash laundry for 70 yrs. No modern washer is designed to use soap.

    don't say 2 parts say 2 cups you confuse some people.

      People in other parts of the world don't use cups as measurements, so using "parts" is really useful.
