I thought Lumo train tickets were supposed to be cheap My wife and I are planning on short break to Glasgow, from Newcastle at the end of May, but unfortunately tickets are still not available to book. However, just looking at prices for early in April, as a comparison, Lumo (32.39) is much higher than LNER (£19.50) .. for 2 adults, with a Two Together railcard to Edinburgh We actually used LNER in November for a trip to London (or first train journey for 20+ years) and have already booked another trip to Edinburgh for March (again LNER) so we just fancied trying another company
I found Lumo dims the lights after departing the station, but it’s still far too bright. Better than nothing I suppose. If your travelling STD than Lumo is far more compelling than LNER. If your travelling 1st than obviously LNER is the choice. LNER 1st is really top notch.
Poor captioning at the start with multi line captions disappearing far too quickly to be read in full and then going to the opposite end of the spectrum of being on too long. Some grammar and spelling errors too. Would have been better if the captioning was shorter but maybe more of them spread out throughout the video.
An excellent presentation giving the information required to choose between the different service options to Edinburgh. Many thanks
thank you!
Lumo 803s have very comfortable seating and certainly an improvement to other operators that use IETs
I’ve used LUMO twice KGX TO NCL. Only way il travel to NCL. Superb service quick journeys.
What camera do you use?

Excellent 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
I don’t understand why Lumo wants to compete with LNER. But I guess that Lumo means low cost and the Class 803 IETs are quite nice trains.
The video literally says they aren't competing with LNER but with flights.
Needs to have more space for your luggage
