- Опубликовано: 13 мар 2024
- In the latest development of the ongoing safety saga, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has confirmed that video footage of the work done to the door plug of the aircraft involved in a blowout earlier this year is no longer in existence.
Last week, the Chairwoman of the safety agency appeared before the United States Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. She gave updates on the current investigation into the door plug that failed during Alaska Airlines flight 1282, confirming that the agency was still seeking more evidence.

I spent 34 years at the Renton plant retired 4 years ago , I could tell you all kinds of stories but I value my life :-)
smart man.
Witness protection right now. Boeing deserves to be held accountable.
@@Michael-bh9ss no way, Im enjoying my retirement too much to deal with any of that. I`m done with that place. I wish it was not in the news everyday, it would be more easy to not think about it.
@@Retr0racin From what I recall on the 787 quality news, you worked on the good plant right?
Can't begin to imagine what goes around the Charleston one...
@@Kalvinjj I was at the plant that is in this video, Renton, Wa. this is called the 4-81/82 building. Final Assy.
Makes no sense. In aircraft maintenance, everything is documented. How do they not know who worked on it last?
They do, they just won't tell.
They do; they're trying to hide it. Shut Boeing down!!!
Makes perfect sense if you note that they don’t want you to know.
Says they only kept 30 days rolling.... & since the original work was over 6 months.... would make sense they don't have it....
@@Kay_jay_999in the operator world, records of maintenance are usually required to be kept for several years or until the maintenance task has been repeated. It is beyond surprising that such record retention requirements are not required for the manufacturer.
Video overwritten and whistleblower dead. Just another day at Boeing
It just keeps getting worse and worse 🤣🤦
Highschool kid's doing wiring, for Boing aircraft manufacturering!
My nephew and his highschool buddies worked on putting together wiring harnesses for Boing, highschool kids, after the management takeover! 2002-2004😅
Doesn’t matter buy American
The Security camera footage being overwritten is not unusual. What is VERY UNUSUAL is that Boeing is unable to produce the documentation or paperwork to required to show what was work was completed/installed and who inspected it and when. Without this documentation, how do they know that the plane is cleared to the next stage of production? I suspect Boeing does have this documentation but refuse to share it. Also, I do not think it is fair to blame the front-line workers, they might have been under pressure from superiors to complete the work and forego inspections.
Looks like beoing is getting really confident that they can get away with anything
because they can

Because they have been getting away with it for years it seems! Before I never really cared about the type of plane I flew on, now I check the plane my flight is using before booking.
Aren't Boeing and the US govt. in bed together?
In bed with the F.A.A. Not Govt.
I’m sure whoever worked on that plane is quite aware of it. The fact they’re not stepping forward, and Boeing’s complicity in their not stepping forward, speaks volumes.
They don't want to be the next victim of suicide.
You really remember which thing you were working on six months ago? When it was just routine? I keep records because I don't remember that sort of detail from week to week.
I wish Lockheed would get back into the game. It’s not good to have only one American manufacturer building these aircraft.
Lockheed would probably be controlled by Wall Street investors too. So... no difference. God bless America.
it's against the law to work on aircraft and not document every step done and by whom. FAA regulations.
If they can’t provide documentation of the work or who did it then that is damning. It suggests they don’t even have the most basic safety protocols in place. Everything is scrupulously documented in this industry.
You mean you keep around the documentation that you didn't do the job? It's just self destructing.

Boeing is worried that the employees who worked on this plane might become suicidal.

I understand Boeing. I also struggle with limited storage place. I'm sure they also have a 2 TB ssd just like I do.
Repairs before delivery means that the aircraft was not built properly the first time!
Nahh.. Just some faulty rivets.
That’s very common in aviation
CEO should be put behind bars if this is true.
Criminal investigation when?
How convenient.....
The lack of paperwork is crininal
BOEING HAS PROBABLY BEEN CRIMINALLY NEGLIGENT.

Suicide, missing bolts and overwritten footage is very concerning.

The NTSB chairwoman's testimony to the United States Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation is "hilarious" (check from 43:20 on their website).
The person responsible has been on medical leave since the "happening", and Boeing hasn't supplied any records and any information on the team that could be working on the door.
This will end with some fall guys to save the company or delays, delays, delays until it's mostly forgotten.
Boeing must be employing ex-Secret Service management…..
the death of the whistleblower then this....
Your seem to have misspelled "murder".
He got Epsteined
Why am I remembered on the policies of this other organization the had it's headquarters in Chicago?
I find it “amusing” that Boeing continues saying being transparent and safety is their top priority when actions are talking more than words!
"Transparent" is Corporate Speak for "Slight of Hand..."
Very lovely
Given Boeing's horrible Quality Assurance record, why do people still buy the 737 MAX?
Oh boy!
Lets make sure that procedure going forward is fixed footage kept 2 to 3 years i say
No doubt purely accidental. Not intentional, no, no way.
Did the Boeing workers responsible for that door also committed "suicide" recently?

Their lawyers let you know that for security reasons they destroy those images, if the average american pays $1000/year on lawyers it's for these results.
That should be criminal
It is.
So, people at Boeing perform work daily and their assignments are not scheduled and recorded? Do they want people to believe Bob and Jane assembly person decided on their own what they will do and at what station they will be placed?
Asking employees to step forward… I guess that will kill your job…
Boeing needs to be shut down until they come completely clean, fire all management, and pay the largest fine ever levied
too big to fail and shut down
@@nickolliver3021 Too powerful to get definitely illegal bailouts
They need to ground anything Boeing made after like 2000 and do thorough inspections on every minute detail of those planes, because I don't trust them.
Sad but true. If tens of thousands of people with good paying jobs lose them because Boeing is shut down, then the local economy nosedives. The ricochet effect is enormous and Boeing bean counters know this. Who is going to cover all those unemployment claims for the next 6 months?
Washington will Take Care Of Boeing , Big Business Wins ,
According to the records of air accidents, MAX passenger planes have more technical defects than other Boeing models, and the continuation of the production process with the same technical problems should be avoided. Passengers' lives are in danger.
No... not sus at all. I wonder if any of those workers will start offing themselves in car parks?
✈️
Welllllll, if the documentation isn't available or doesn't exist, then how did the G/A get signed off? No std CofA can be valid for this aircraft and Boeing should at least temporarily lose their PC until this is resolved. Maybe then Calhoun goes bye bye...
When it rains, it pours.
How very convenient.
3:20 - there are very few names of actual interest, here, first and foremost being David Calhoun, closely followed by Brian West.
Destroying possible evidence makes you guilty.

The camera fell into vulcano
no documents?!?!? hmm. you dont so anything with out documenting it on paper or electronic. security footage doesnt mean anything. the lack of docs is far worse.
does the faa have any power to fire the entire boeing management and replace them? if so, I wish they would and put people with engineer experience in charge again.
unfortunately not.
