  • American aircraft manufacturer Boeing is standing firm and refusing to cave to the demands of hackers who stole 43 gigabytes of data. The hackers wanted to be paid $200 million in ransom before returning the data. Boeing was hacked in October 2023 by the LockBit ransomware gang, which threatened to release a 'tremendous amount' of secure data.

Everybody on their way to assume Boeing is gonna "self-inflict" the hackers

I think Boeing did the right thing in not paying the ransom. Nobody should.

I don’t think Boeing even knows what “doing the right thing” means.

I said they did the right thing. I didn't say they did it out of conscience.

@@Feng87 pay or not, they're leaking that data sooner or later.
Make Boeing pay....not in cash...but in the price of the lives they "sacrificed" for profits just to satisfy their masters at Wall Street.

If they know to silence whistleblowers, they can also fiind the hackers

not necessarily. the whistleblowers worked at boeing so boing knew who they where , hackers could just be hacking from some random coffee shop for all they know assuming they do not have terrible opsec
