    If you want to reduce the spraying you should mix gly, 2-4-d, and dual. I don’t have to spray again after I spray that on my food plots. I just plant my corn then 3 days later I spray. Haven’t had to spray again for going on my second year. Also I don’t use round up ready corn. I plant conventional/Indian cor

      What is dual, some of the wetter ground areas I plant are full of millions of water hemp seed. Thats is pretty much the only weed in certain areas. I thought 24D will leave a residual in the ground for about 2 weeks.

      its a herbicide used in corn and soybeans for prolonged weed control. it does help with certian types of water hemp to determine if yours is affected would have to be a question for an agronomist. I Use Jay-Mar in plover WI they are great. dual and 24d do have residuals and cant be sprayed where you would be possibly putting in a brassica plot later in the year.

    I have the same planter. It came with lower profile tires on 15 inch rims which causes the discs to drag on the pavement. Any way you could tell me what size tires you have on your planter? Thanks

      Not sure the exact size, they are similar to a hay wagon sized tire. Sorry for the late reply.

    I'm eagerly watching how your cultivated plots do but if you still have to spray some for weeds, wouldn't planting double rows like you've been doing still be the best way to go? I'm thinking so. ~~~You the man with the plan~~~

      Planting the 38in rows in my weediest fields is probably my best bet, so I can cultivate the roundup resistant weeds. If I plant right rows I can’t cultivate then. I have a small section of tighter planted corn you’ll see in another video that will come out. But most of my corn is on wider rows this year.

    Broadcast ground hog radish red clover in late July. Then 200 lbs rye a acre in mid September

      The brassicas will not do anything if planted in mid September only get 6-8in tall.

    Have you tried spaying that corn with 24 D to kill the weeds??

    • @wisconsinwhitetail9744
      @wisconsinwhitetail9744  2 года назад +1

      Not for a couple years. I sprayed an area of about 1-2ft corn and damaged it badly and killed some in the past. Probably mixed it to strong. Killed he weeds though.

      2-4d works better as a pre emergent on corn.
