@@Godloveszaza STFU, you know nothing. Scott created this band with Brain. He was MM. His style on guitar was very unique, his songwritting was out of the box. The band was never the same after he left. John is a good guitarrist but his music and playing, is kinda boring and predictable. Daisy was the best guitarist they ever had, stop writting and thinking sh@t.
Even Antichrist is just OK. Full of lame filler Korn style tracks. Everything after that was awful. He did one great album. Portrait. I agree. I still keep wrapped in plastic in my head. Fucked up song.
@kengray1663 I appreciate Antichrist, Mechanical, and Holywood...but that first album and this lineup was lightning in a bottle. Daisy deserved better. This show and era are just magical. Starting with with Antichrist Superstar, Brian would take over the band and it would eventually be all about him. After 2003 Manson sucked.
I may be wrong on this one, but I believe history was made this night, originally Manson wore two contact lens with the light blue color, after the show we met them all and we asked him what happened to it and he said he lost it during show, he began wearing just one ! Maybe the gentlemen that was the bouncer on this night can help me verify this !
He's not emulating just David bowie as his only favorite singee but Alice Cooper is the reaaon of most of the way he looks like. He said that on his Long Hard Road Out of Hell book.
This might be the best performance of Dopehat I’ve ever seen. The keys are so beautifully prominent and MM looks like a proper mental patient throughout…perfection…
You know your making a serious impact when the security guards are singing along ! Seen this tour in a small club in Canada about 300 people were there and it was sold out. Greatest line up of this band period ! RIP Daisy! Fuck Cancer !

Dude I swear I'd give anything to be able to go back to anytime between '95 and '99 to see Marilyn Manson live ESPECIALLY during the Antichrist Superstar era or dead to the world tour (Antichrist Superstar my favorite album of course) but unfortunately I was a '91 baby lol I swear the 90s was a fucking kick ass time for not only Manson but ALL music I mean shit rap, metal, pop everything music was so badass during the 90s there will never be a another artist/ band I love as much as Marilyn Manson or another decade ill cherish as much as the '90s....the only other artist I love as much as Marilyn Manson is probably my boi Tech N9ne so if ur ever at my house or riding with me chances are you're either gonna hear some Manson or Tech n9ne lol
Saw them live many times here in Florida before they broke through and got signed ETC. hung out with them twice,Manson took my hat because he said he wanted to wear it on stage and he did before throwing it into the audience,Good Times and miss spent youth!
This guy was innovative and very intelligent back then. It is amazing to see just how low key, calm and actually shy this guy is. As he has said...it is all show and theatre. He used it his advantage and it has made him wealthy as well as an iconic artist...whether you like him or his music you cannot take away from his artistic ability to write and put it to work in a theatric show.
This was randomly suggested and I cannot believe the chance of it. I was at this show in the front row, iirc right side (stage left). This was their first tour solo, but I had just seen them the previous Halloween. Jim Rose Side Show, Marilyn Manson debut, and the headliner NIN. Awesome show and memories. Good times.
say what you want about the security guard with no hair but during “down in the park” he is handing out water, if you have ever been in the front row at a concert in the 90’s you know that is respectful
Such a great era for the band. Much love for all the originality daisy brought. I was at this show, watching this reminds me of how captivating they where....
It's Manson's best album IMO. It's one of the best albums ever. I wish I still had my cassette. I've bought it on CD several times. Car wrecks and so called friends that steal CD's suck.
The Abyss was an old movie theater in like the 1950s or something, they tore out all the seats but there were still risers in the back. The capacity was maybe a few hundred, but if a band sold the place out they got their name on the wall. Nirvana did it in like 1991 before anyone knew who tf they were. Pearl Jam, Fishbone, Dread Zeppelin, Primus, Retarted Elf were all up there years before this footage. Good times, and RIP, as far as I know this tiny little club (with terrible parking) closed permanently in the late 90's.
The first time I ever heard Manson was as the opening act for NIN on the further down the spiral tour. I loved it and saw them again on the POAF tour. Those were also two of the first concerts I ever went to and it took a long time before I could enjoy other shows. I had to come to the realization that these other acts aren’t boring, Trent and Manson were just insane.
I Love ''antichrist superstar'' album so much!! but this album, this concert period was amazing, the true manson period between the spooky kids and what it was going to be, raw, garage, brutal !! '' Portrait of an american family '' is the best last fucking shock rock album heard. no album surpasses it since !!!
I lived down the street from this venue , I was too young to go at the time and it was a vacant building for the longest. I would always pass by it and wondered what it looked like inside .now I know ! it's actually construction material storage now.
Oh man....this was a killer show!! I was there and have talked about this to people. It was almost empty early that night at the beginning of his set (don’t let the video fool you, it was seriously empty), and it started filling up. I hadn’t heard of him at the time, but it was the 90s and The Abyss was the place to be on the weekends (if Fitz or Numbers had bad shows playing anyway). I remember sitting there like 20 feet from the stage and thinking this dude was amazing, I’m in my 40s now, those were good times to be a kid. In fact I married one of the bouncers there and we just divorced, hahaha. Nostalgic video....
this is incredible footage. manson was so on top of his game during this show. sad that my parents had barely even been dating at this point in time 😢😆 would have loved to see him during his earlier years.
Portrait and Antichrist = Mansons best period. So twisted, dangerous and raw. Daisy's guitar playing was the tits. Manson should never have let him go.
Also, the next day the band showed up for a meet and greet at a vintage clothing store called Luv Street Diva. They had a chicken running around. Marilyn himself was very quiet and kept to himself, sitting on the floor under the display windows. I was too shy to ask him for his autograph but got all the others’ on my Portrait CD sleeve.

this is probably the earliest recording of the band playing Sweet Dreams...this was before the album with that song was even released and they still had their original drummer, who was not on the recorded version which wasn't released until October of this same year so this is the only time I've ever seen Sara Lee Lucas on drums for this song. This is a great great recording and a real treasure.
I’m way late but, this has brought me back to life. I saw them in early 94. At the Ogden theater in Denver CO. Back when he cut himself on stage. My first concert ever. My older brother and his friends took me. Just bringing back that feeling seeing this. It was life changing.
At 15 saw for first time in 97 with Danzig. Front row two girls carved evil on there chests licking another girls face that Manson spit all over. I was hooked. Too bad this doesnt exist anymore it was truly a unique time.

Hey John! True he was a good guitarist. I started a petition to get Marilyn Manson’s ex to stop trying to get revenge on him. Can you sign it now? Here’s the link: chng.it/4NqwxKwtyK
It takes just a few seconds.
Even if she and he fought, I want to see Manson make his next album, not wind up losing all his energy and never making work again. He’s already mentioned wanting to quit music before, and even if he and she did have some disagreements, I really believe in people being innocent until they’re proven guilty, and the same goes for him.
Stop. No matter how much credit u give scott John will always be better through and through simple. Stop mentioning his name.
@@Godloveszaza😂🤡
I wish I could go back in time to see Marilyn Manson during this time... I was too young.
Same, I was only 8 in 1995
i wasn’t born yet in 95 ):
Portrait of an American Family was their best album EVER. No debate.
Even Antichrist is just OK. Full of lame filler Korn style tracks. Everything after that was awful.
He did one great album. Portrait. I agree. I still keep wrapped in plastic in my head. Fucked up song.
@@AgeofReason
I don't know, Holy Wood was a pretty good album, along with Mechanical Animals.
@@freakystar2718 I did like Mechanical Animals quite a bit.
there's nothing wrong with being a POAAF fan, you're just not a manson fan.
Maybe the gentlemen that was the bouncer on this night can help me verify this !
i may be wrong ..but was the different cloured eyes not based on a dog which he had as a child which was killed by one of his neighbours?
I always thought it was because he was emulating David Bowie, his idol.
It's also to do with the dichotomy of his entire career; Yin vs yang, good vs evil, Marilyn vs Manson etc...
He's not emulating just David bowie as his only favorite singee but Alice Cooper is the reaaon of most of the way he looks like. He said that on his Long Hard Road Out of Hell book.
He is wearing two contacts here tho.
RIP Scott-(Daisy Berkowitz). 🖤😢
Another great lost tooooo soon
I'm so grateful I met him in 1995. He was the basis, brains, lyrics, guitar behind the entire band. Such an underrated talent.
@@JennRighter 100 percent he was a genius when he left manson it went to shit
@@JennRighter Manson wrote all the lyrics for portrait of an american family but daisy was defiantly behind the music
Scott was a cool guy.. Chatted with him a few times on Facebook years back (before he got sick) and took the time to answer my fanboy questions.. RIP
More people should watch this. It's a must.
Damn i miss rock concerts in the late 90s early 2000s some of the best times. Things have changed so much
I stopped going to concerts after 2014, everyone just stands around with their cell phones now.
That's when I was finally able to see Manson in Maine was '04. Not too many get up that way, lol.
You gotta love security that actually digs the music at the show
DON'T YOU TELL YOUR MOM THAT I BROUGHT YOU HERE?.. 'CAUSE THERE AIN'T NO GOING BACK NOW =)
From Argentina, full of nostalgy, I salute you. If you are here you're in good hands
I want to go back and see him a few more times also!
There was a lot of good LSD in those days.leanard hadn't been busted yet and the creativity of his crystal shows in a lot of artists
Hard to believe this is nearly 30 years ago . God dam 😮
When did he say it’s all for show?
@@Jackp2003When hes asked if hes a sell out and he replies he sells out every show.
RIP Daisy. You were a fantastic song writer and deliciously dissonant metal guitarist.
Seeing this tour in 95 is still one of the greatest concert experiences of my life.
Smart phones destroyed the crowd scene... this is how it suppose to be
bouncers showing divers back into the crowd while reciting lyrics haha
I know! I think that's fucking awesome lol
Right! I noticed him when dope hat was being played and he was singing along and I was like wtf??!! :0 fuck yeah!
Lmao i loved that
That's Tony Wiggins not really a bouncer
blindmelonlemonjello Is that really him?
Need a time machine right about now!! Amazing show MM!
Nicolas, I have found a Time Machine in a way
This was randomly suggested and I cannot believe the chance of it. I was at this show in the front row, iirc right side (stage left).
This was their first tour solo, but I had just seen them the previous Halloween. Jim Rose Side Show, Marilyn Manson debut, and the headliner NIN.
Awesome show and memories. Good times.
This is such an atmospheric concert! I regret that I was not born in those years.
When artists are hungry for greatness , here it is !
you can tell the bald security guy is a fan and sing along to his music ahaha, what a lad.
He is wearing a marilyn manson shirt he is their number one fan
That is a great job
11:05 When you go to put your hair behind your ears and remember that you're bald...
😆
He's that hardcore weird dude that we all know that doesn't do drugs. lol That's the impression I get just from this vid.
if you look closely you can see he actually has a long braid in the back _
was at this show. lordy that was along time ago
say what you want about the security guard with no hair but during “down in the park” he is handing out water, if you have ever been in the front row at a concert in the 90’s you know that is respectful
"Hey dude will you turn off the light when you're done?"
25:15
Such a great era for the band. Much love for all the originality daisy brought. I was at this show, watching this reminds me of how captivating they where....
58:43 The best performance vocal !!! :O
I like the footage at the end with the concert goers and two chicks. So 90s looking! wonder where they are now and saw this video? ha
We need something like this in 2023.
Even when he makes silly faces, still perfect 😩😍
Daisy was such a badass, holy fuck
Andrew Piccirilli You mean Zim?
nonono The guitarrist in this time was Daisy Berkowitz... Zim Zum entered on the band one year later.
RiP
rip daisy
anniebrug
thats daisy berkowitz, sadly he just passed away....
Portrait of an American Family is so underrated
It really is awesome
It's Manson's best album IMO. It's one of the best albums ever. I wish I still had my cassette. I've bought it on CD several times. Car wrecks and so called friends that steal CD's suck.
It's his best ablum😢
The Abyss was an old movie theater in like the 1950s or something, they tore out all the seats but there were still risers in the back. The capacity was maybe a few hundred, but if a band sold the place out they got their name on the wall. Nirvana did it in like 1991 before anyone knew who tf they were. Pearl Jam, Fishbone, Dread Zeppelin, Primus, Retarted Elf were all up there years before this footage.
Good times, and RIP, as far as I know this tiny little club (with terrible parking) closed permanently in the late 90's.
massive spooky kids fan. literally just read puteski died in 2017. very sad now hey. having a beer in his memory. great composer
Absolutely, bro! He is an incredibly talented guitarist!
10/10. This is the band I fell in love with back in the day.
As always, with Manson, simply, amazing !!!
its august 2020 and after watching this i never wished i could go back to the 90s so bad.
you cannot sedate all the things you hate.
Such a good show I go back to this video regularly
What do you think of his newer work? I love PE and HUD, wasn't keen on the few albums prior to them.
That's fucking stupid he's made way better album since this one this is literally his Worst Album but it is a pretty good performance
@@TrollHiddenCave you just have lousy taste in music, zoomer
I just love how I can see the guards moving to the music. I don’t think I’ve seen that before or since, amazing😻
My first real concert! Incredible experience
I was supposed to see him in 99', but it got cancelled in Phoenix. I didn't get to see him until 2007....it was worth the wait 😃
You know you're a badass when you write "KILL GOD" in litebrite for production value
@Ted Wilson why would an edgelord use litebrite? 😂
this is incredible footage. manson was so on top of his game during this show. sad that my parents had barely even been dating at this point in time 😢😆 would have loved to see him during his earlier years.
Manson just released WE ARE CHAOS and this popped up on my feed shortly after...coincidence??!! I think not!!! 🤠
25:15 "It needs to be DARK in here"
Somehow this "special" effect was more badass then most fireworks or other shit you see today on the big stages
The fact he says It needs to be in lowercase
2024. Back watching this one again. One of his most authentic performances.
I’m half of the views
Great footage. Loved the end end as well. So nice to see the absence of cellphones.
Portrait and Antichrist = Mansons best period. So twisted, dangerous and raw. Daisy's guitar playing was the tits. Manson should never have let him go.
I feel like smells like children doesn't get the props it deserves. But for full lengths: completely agreed.
Idk Mechanical Animals is pretty great and it's mostly Zim Zum.
@@aplus1080 Tim Skold is underrated imo as well as Twiggy in the guitar spot.
Daisy leaves the band because Manson was in drug abuse. But honestly John 5 is the best guitarist Manson never had. You can't negate it
@Taylor Holloway I agree.
I still have that autograph. The chicken had paint on it, right? I remember it being green and purple.
Luv Street Diva...this thread is just full of nostalgia. I loved that place off Westheimer...good time to be alive. I remember that chicken!

this is probably the earliest recording of the band playing Sweet Dreams...this was before the album with that song was even released and they still had their original drummer, who was not on the recorded version which wasn't released until October of this same year so this is the only time I've ever seen Sara Lee Lucas on drums for this song. This is a great great recording and a real treasure.
He inspires me to do my own band, look how far he came.
I'm up in the front!!!! I was 14 yrs old. He spit in my mouth and it was like Jesus giving a dying man water, I cried like a little bitch! hahaha

I can't believe this video exists. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I love the way they open the show, that sound experiment is so eerie
Daisey was such a driving force behind this band..Great guitarist.
I’m way late but, this has brought me back to life. I saw them in early 94. At the Ogden theater in Denver CO. Back when he cut himself on stage. My first concert ever. My older brother and his friends took me. Just bringing back that feeling seeing this. It was life changing.
i love how the bouncer keeps acting like hes putting his hair behind his ears....hes bald..
+guitaoist he has a tail he is whipping back over his shoulder now and then. But it's definitely an affectation
LOL :D
He does that so many times too. I wonder if he just cut off everything but the ponytail.
haha he probably had long hair and cut it for the job very very recently
Is that the notorious Tony Wiggins?
He seems to know all the songs...
At 15 saw for first time in 97 with Danzig. Front row two girls carved evil on there chests licking another girls face that Manson spit all over. I was hooked. Too bad this doesnt exist anymore it was truly a unique time.
I remember seeing Manson back in the day, 1995, in Miami Beach. Mansion opened for Nine Inch Nails. What great show. You had to be there.
Sigh...the pre-Covid days....how I miss them.
I love seeing daisy play my favorite manson guitarist
