What a freaking pain, I hate installing updates and haven't for about 4 years. But today on a dust off after a couple of set backs in life. I brought my baby out again after about a month and noticed again that my sat/hybird maps didn't display. After googling that, found out DJI disabled support for older firmware...so I bit the bullet, and it bit back! Thanks to your video I was finally able to get pass the error 180 and fly again.. I had one issue on the beginning when I scrolled down to the first support my screen would not select any function. I waited about 15 minutes (Cussing) and rebooted and tried again, it then worked and I went through the steps to get the APK installed. rebooted SC. And did a prop start, to message that it didn't know my location. I checked and my location services was indeed on. So went out to get GPS acquired on both aircraft the SC remote....that worked. So Thanks again and yes my maps all work again! One correction to your verbiage @3:53. Once the APK is downloaded (Wifi) to Smart Controller, the install of same has nothing to do with your WiFi speed. That is internal to the Smart Controller. So again thank you, I was flying this morning, updated to get my map, and bricked..your video saved my arse! 😉 Oh and it said that it wouldn't change any settings but lost all of mine for flight and cameras so will have to go through a battery or two to get everything back the way it was...note to all who may read this. 🙂 looks like the Ole' assistant 2 for mavic needs some work!
