So sorry for the glitched out video yesterday. This is the full three day canoe camping river trip. Features lots of fishing and wildlife. This took a ton of work, I really hope you enjoy this one. Thank you for coming with me. I couldn't do this without each and every one of you. I deeply appreciate you from the bottom of my heart.
I'm excited jus to watch this with a couple beers tonight! Duuude thank you 😀🔥🏕️ ! Always entertaining and love when you say but first I gotta sip ah the oooollll baaannana flask😄!
Or the tittibawasseee which is what I’m thinking cause it’s more flat in most areas. You need to take your wife to the lumberman’s memorial during the fall when the leaves change can’t beat it.
I've been to that first spot he got out!!!! I've conue camped with my son for 20 year's!! That the entrance to the alcona pond! He must have put in at the 3000 bridge!!! @@ChristopherAnderson-tz8ym
2 tips to improve your fishing. (1) When holding the rod for reeling or casting place the reel stem (where it comes down where it is attached) between your index and middle fingers. Your thumb would then go up on top of the handle. This will give you much more control of the rod. (2) After tying on your spinner, trim the tag end down close to the knot. That 2" of line you leave hanging out might impact the action of the spinner.
I thoroughly enjoyed your little idyll there and I cheered when you mentioned Simon!! Been a fan of his for ages. You both very your adventures more than most wild campers and for me, an ex camping, now wheelchair-bound soul, it's fabtastic seeing the outdoor world through your videos. We brits love a cheeky beer or cider🍻
Thank you so much!! I'm really glad to hear you are getting enjoyment from this and we're both fans of Simon. I'll be sure to grab a couple of cheeky beers next time as well. Cheers!
Happy to see you San bananas thank you for your camping. Thank you for taking me along with you. I really enjoy them. Thank you Sam. You’re an awesome dude.🙏💯🇺🇸🔥
Awesome Sam. You did it! Whew. Ms. Bananas. Is pretty helpful with this dried ready to hydrate meals for you. Makes it so much easier for your trips. Enjoyed the scenery. Thanks for taking us with you Much appreciated.
Yay a three day canoe camping trip! I love these longer videos. It sure is beautiful scenery out there. Mrs. Bananas dehydrated beans and hamburger helper looked delicious. You sure had some rough waters on your second day. I was getting stressed watching you paddle though it. The guy in a raincoat watching you from the shoreline standing next to a tree around 49 to 50 mins in was a bit creepy. Did you see him? He watched you a bit then walked off into the bush. Thanks for an awesome video. 😊👍
I looooved this video :) Wow, I'm impressed with your canoe skills getting through the rough water. And I especially loved all of the wildlife, and the campfires. Riding an ebike looks so fun! I'm thinking about getting one.
This was my favorite video you've done! The beauty of the river and woods on either side made it perfect. I loved hearing the loons, and I think a barred owl on your first night, and seeing the beaver, muskrat and geese families was the best part. Sorry you didn't catch any fish. This river reminds me of the Coeur d Alene River or Lake Roosevelt, both within driving distance to where I live.
Loved the trip. Enjoyed you taking us along. Especially loved the turtles sunbathing on the tree in the water. So cute. God Bless you and be safe.❤❤❤❤❤
I was glad to see this today. I was wondering how you’d squeeze a 3 day trip into 30mins. Also, since I’m from North Ontario Canada, where there’s a large French influence, we pronounce it Por-Taj (like Taj Mahal). Cheers! 🍻
helpful tip: trim up that tag line on your rooster tail ( cut tag end as close as you can to the knot ) the extra line causes a distraction and deters fish from chasing your lure, good luck catching the big ones
Amazing video it looked a little sketchy before the dam I had a kayaking trip planed but it got canceled me and my boys and daughter was going to rent some and take a two day trip with one night to camp but the river was really high and they would let us go said we have to reschedule it. I completely understand there concerns because the same weekend someone died on the same stretch of water we was going to take. So it has gotten to hot now so we have it scheduled for the fall. Stay safe
That’s a beautiful area. I’ve spent time in Gaylord. It’s surprising how mountainous it is. I’d be interested in seeing how you dehydrate your food in a future video
Absolutely loved this video! The serene beauty of the wild river and your peaceful journey truly captured the essence of nature. Can't wait for your next adventure.
I really enjoy your videos brother. You keep it real. No editing out stuff like flipping your tent over. I do believe you will figure the fishing out. I have followed you since you first started and watch you grow, both in camping experience and subscribers. Keep it real!!??
Heyy Sam,you were flying down the river glad everything turned out ok,beautiful scenery tranquil music, you picked an awesome camping spot, the birds are so pretty great video thanks for sharing stay safe 😊
We’re glad to see you, Sam bananas you’re back. You are so cool. Love the camping. Keep up the good work. Hope we get more awesome videos. Keep them coming. We love you. Have a good night.
Sam! Long time no message. Been saving up your videos to watch on our weeks A/L . Just marvelous. Glad to see you are keeping well. Best wishes as always Helen and Wayne in the UK
Hi Sam, Lol I think you were at the place I took my Barrel Boat Camper last year. I did two trips there. I still love canoe camping too. Another great video Sam! Thanks
@@CampingwithSamBananas Take a look if you get a chance, I'm curious to see if we were in the same place, and then you can see what my Barrel Boat looks like, I stayed out there for 5 days on solar power.
My gosh I would absolutely love taking one of these adventures. Me and the wife have a nice camper and have a great time but this is something I can hopefully get the fellas to do. I have all the stuff ready to go minus the canoe or kayak. That will be soon. Cheers
Even if you don't want to tackle this big of a trip, most of these rivers have long day trips you can do. I do them with friends all the time. So much fun!
When you said you had to portage, you weren’t kidding! I usually think of portage as having to spend a few minutes getting past an obstruction. You should try my home river sometime - Edisto River. The longest blackwater river in the country. Can spend a nice couple days paddling from mid-state to the coast.
A brilliant video man . Thanks for taking us on the ride of a lifetime. Choppy water but you made light work of it. Amazing stuff my friend. How are you going to beat this one ? All the best my friend and say hello to Kevin and Mrs Banana from me. John from Sheffield UK England !!!😊

Great trip Sam, reminds us of back in the day when we took canoe trips on the James River in Virginia. Say hello to Mrs. Bananas for us. BTW, when you finally catch that big fish, are you going to clean it and cook it or catch and release ?

You saw the San Juans (Washington). Nice shoutout to Simon. I watch some of those guys out there in the UK. I have a friend who could be a short lost relative of Camping with Josh!

@@CampingwithSamBananas Well if you are interested in catching a fish. I suggest when you are camping, tie a fishing cord to a nearby tree or strong limb or a stake and put three or four hooks on it about 4 feet apart, baited with shrimp and throw in in the river about 30 feet with a heavy weight. (Keyword throw line) Leave it overnight. Fishing w lures works great if you match it to the fish, the time of year, temperature, water clarity, the weather and other water conditions. Lot to think about. Unless you are a professional, it isn't always easy. And something like trout or muskie or pike take some considerations and preparations. Not an expert but like it even when I don't catch anything.
