    I remember watching this back in elementary school. The beats were confusing to me, but now as a drummer as well as a percussionist eight years later, I'm glad I was able to literally re-discover this video again. I find it amazing how Animusic put this whole thing together without it sounding like actual drummers. Its like an actual machine that can out-drum humans, if you know what I mean.

    Animusic is an untapped gold mine for sampling. So many Rap or Electronic beats could be built off of this composition alone.

    A: The sound of the moving gears playing by themselves in the beginning really makes a good beat keeper

I still remember seeing the ad for it on tv when we were living in my grandma's basement and i was infatuated, as soon as we had the money, my mother got it for me and we watched it quite alot, im unsure how old i was but it was after i started violin but before we moved into our current house so my guess is around 5 or 6 but that was the day i gained consciousness and look at me now! 21, a performer and composer, and designing a particle system animation to go with live performers... Wow... How things grow and change huh

      At this point, I don't think Animusic 3 will happen. It's been ten years now since 2, and with Crognale's departure, I just don't see it happening.

      I cannot hold that sentiment. Gyro drums has more personality, more variation, more memorable beats, and the aesthetic of a sphere of drums is just nicer on the eyes than an industrial machine

    I never get these disclaimers. Fair use? You can say that about anything. Fact is, people aren't going to buy the DVDs when they can watch the whole thing on RUclips for free. The makers of Animusic should setup these videos monetized so that they can at least get something for this.

    • @machiner6
      @machiner6 9 лет назад +2

      I agree. The least they could do is distribute the videos through online services for a lower price.

      Yeah, but on the DVDs, you get the commentary track. And while I'm not big on audio commentary, I have to say listening to it on Vol. 1 and 2, it really enhanced my experience. They tell you all the little details and such that went into each video and it really makes you appreciate the videos even more. Again, not for everybody, but in this case, I feel like the DVDs are worth the commentary alone.

    • @AmbientMorality
      @AmbientMorality 7 лет назад +3

      Yes. Fair use is a legal defense. You can't just say something is fair use and expect that it is sufficient. Also, uploading the entire video to a public video-sharing website is not fair use. Fair use would be an unlisted, clipped video that shows the minimum required to make the point (or a screenshot used in a paper, etc).
