You are very welcome Michelle, this is a much healthier version, you might find it easier to digest than the battered version. I forgot to ask how you dad is going now he is back in his own home with some help. Thanks for watching.;-))
Thank you Gloria, we have lots of Lemons on our tree at the moment, you can probably expect some more different citrus recipes soon. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.;-))
Thank you Lucy , we have lots of fresh lemons at the moment do it was lovely to use them. Hope you are well, I understand your new presidents inauguration has had every one concerned, I hope there is no more bloodshed. We felt terribly sorry for those poor security staff inside the Capital Building, that must have been a terrifying situation. Richo and I absolutely loved that building. The photos on it don’t do it justice. It looks like it’s painted white concrete but in real life it’s beautiful like marble , I loved Washington DC, the Smithsonian museums, the parks, statues, the Whitehouse even the quaint little church across the road that was trashed during the BLM protests. So much unnecessary widespread damage to so many beautiful historic buildings, saddens me a great deal. I just can’t imagine how such a lack of respect can be thought acceptable. I hope your lovely country can move forward and put these recent unpleasant things in the past. I really hope the good things that have been achieved aren’t just thrown out the window for the sake of spite. I believe the Pandemic altered the course of political history everywhere, everywhere but more do on your shores. Stay well, my Dear Lucy and keep up your social distancing, California has more dark health days ahead I fear.🙏🏻
I worry about you Lucy, every day I hear how the virus is spreading, particularly in California, the terrible riots that occurred in LA aren’t that far away and who knows what will happen under the new President. I know the climate change laws brought in here have made the cost of living so much more expensive, will your economy survive such radical new energy laws? Our manufacturing industry is massively depleted, no cars are made here anymore, we are so heavily reliant on imported products, this year saw supplies completely dry up. Unfortunately we rely so heavily on tourism and 2020 sent all the tourism related industries down the drain. Decade long droughts, bushfires and the high cost of wages has seen the cost of living here soar, home ownership has become unaffordable for young people and we can’t find jobs for existing residents yet we are accepting huge numbers of unskilled migrants with no possibility of employment. Our infrastructure can’t keep up with the rate of population expansion. We are borrowing money from other countries and then giving it away in foreign aid. Our countries debt will still be compounding long after our great grandchildren’s time and that’s if we completely stop borrowing right now, which of course won’t happen. The government is frantically selling off public owned property and and utilities and then squandering the money. Once the communications, energy and transport industry becomes fully privately owned, there will be services we once took for granted either unaffordable or prohibited to use. People are suffering and politicians are giving themselves massive pay rises and lifetime benefits, it’s a shame, leaders elected by the people are feathering their own nests and excepting themselves from The very Covid restrictions they have implemented. I’m surprised we haven’t seen more violent protests here because our justice system Is far too easy on serious criminals. Noisy minorities are dictating to us and changing our lifestyle. I suppose it’s happening everywhere but it’s sad to see young people unable to afford to buy a house, get long term employment and both parents being forced to work just to pay the bills. I think my time as a young home maker was probably the easiest and best for a long time.
@@CheekysKitchen Our homelands seem to be suffering the same . These politicians here have been in power 40 years or more have just been working to make them self rich . I feel with this new president , it will not be good .
I’m afraid you are probably right. We have saying here in Australia “When America sneezes, the rest of the world catches cold!’ With so much unemployment , loss of local industry and such a heavy reliance on imported goods. I personally thought it was a great idea to lessen imported products and reinstate local production and industry growth. Being less reliant on overseas goods turned out this past year, to be proof of how we need more home grown talent and productivity. When we travelled across America on the Amtrak I was sad to see so many little towns boarded up, huge factories derelict. People sleep rough and living under bridges . The last thing anyone needs in those circumstances is more mouths to feed, without the means to do it. At present our gas is about $5 per gallon, electricity for average families can cost up to $4,000 per year. We probably have one of the worst quality, most expensive internet service in the western world. We have a good medical system but waiting lists can be lengthy. No one needing medical treatment is turned away from a hospital. There are large distances between major cities and the entire centre of the country is dessert. Travel is much more expensive in Australia than overseas, which accounts for the large number of people who have been used to holidaying elsewhere . This year has been very hard. I really hope America doesn’t start importing other countries troubles and continues to encourage increasing the workforce, it’s economically sound and excellent for morale. Just my personal opinion but I expect we will wear the brunt of any poorly thought out decisions in the future.
Thank you Jean, I’m looking forward to seeing your version. Hope you are staying safe and well. May your 2021 be healthy, prosperous and productive. Thank you for watching and God Bless.🙏🏻😋💐🧑🏻🍳
Hey Stu, we’ve had a couple of rainy cooler days, Tefals out here too. This was a recipe request but I can’t remember who requested it, which is disappointing because I like to dedicate the recipe to whoever asked for it. Wasn’t you , was it? Thanks for watching.;-))
@@CheekysKitchen raining here too today. Just having lunch and 5 mins away from work. Good to hear from you.wished you happy new year but put it on a reply of someone else's post by mistake!
Thank you Stu a happiest New Year to you too. Hope 2021 is a wonderful, prosperous healthy year for you and your loved ones. For some reason I don’t get notified of replies to replies, in fact I found one just today that was 5 years old, I’m sure my viewer must’ve thought me very rude to ‘ignore’ his question but I wouldn’t have gotten even today if someone else hadnt made a comment and asked the very same question. RUclips isn’t the easiest platform to work with, I just get used to one new way of doing things and they move the goal Posts again, that’s ok for these tech savvy youngsters but if the internet was a pool, I’d have drowned years ago lol. I’m glad you get to go home for lunch, it’s cheaper and better, especially if you have someone to eat with. Meals are a very social occasion for me. I just love feeding people, they seem to like it too 🤣😋🧑🏻🍳
@@CheekysKitchen yes I know youTube is a bit of a challenge for notifications full stop. I've moaned to them before about that. Not that I post much from the record label or music stuff now. Certainly not doing any live work!! My home life consists of watching Aquascaping video's. I've grown to 9 aquariums now, not counting the ones I have stashed ready to grow plants or hospital tanks. Thank heaven for semi-automated water changes :) Its either that or watching your local Ozzy friend Oli and his pet rat 'ratty' ( Drain Addict) unblocking drains. He's so funny and if you can stomach the occasional poo splatter video the its 'allll good'. I have to say your plants and drains take a beating with the monster roots. Luckily in the UK its more likely to be fat than roots, corn and baby wipes. The way he relocates red backs with care is another thing. Watching him put his arm in a drain with spiders !! Anyway.. good to catch up x
