- On this laptop there was no video at boot. I show the various troubleshooting steps and then replace the motherboard which gets the system up and running.

I have black screen come out like while I am working on. But when I disconnect the battery then the laptop turned on without any problems. I bought new battery and installed it so the black screen came again ? I do not know what is the problem?

For a motherboard replacement you can look on eBay, Amazon or a place called Parts People.
I have a problem with my Dell inspiron 7000 7359 and need to change the moterboard also, can I know from where did u ordered your MB?
Masood Saleem Go on eBay and do a search for the model number of the laptop and motherboard. You can also open up the laptop and get the model number of the motherboard from the motherboard.

my laptop is Dell inspiron 15 with Intel i5-5200U 2.4GHz. i found spare motherboard parts in ebay can i replace my motherboard to Intel i7-5500U 2.4GHz. My doubt is can i really replace motherboard ? does it fit into my laptop casing?

It's possible. What I would do is look at the motherboards side by side. Picture should be good enough for this. Really zoom in and make sure all of the connectors are the same. Look at pictures of the front and back of the one you want to get compared to the one you have.

@@earlyman007 The connectors, screw holes, shape, size, etc. have to be exact. Similar is not good enough. What problems are you having right now?
@@MichaelTheComputerGuy while I use some programs which take huge GPU memory it gets overheated and turns off immediately and even hdmi and USB ports doesn't work at times.
I want to buy a new laptop for gaming and my college coding but my budget is low😅
@@earlyman007 What I would recommend given those symptoms is to open it up, clean any dust and debris out of the cooler for the GPU and replace the thermal compound between the GPU and it's heatsink.
Few weeks ago I suddenly got a Message "Hard Drive not installed" on my Dell Inspiron 17-7000(7778) (i5 processor) series and couldn't access Windows anymore, this was after a lot of years of ongoing screen freeze alongside other issues that I had on 2 same Inspiron laptops since day one and have reported to Dell but unfortunately Dell Customer Service and Support have Failed to Address the Core Issues tell warranty Expiration not to mention the price (of the two) being students on a budget.

now I would like to try and upgrade to SSD M.2.
In Setup and Specifications THE ONLY THING I FOUND is that I can Install One-m.2 drive and One-2.5 inch drive.
Is Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 (1TB) or pro series compatible?, There woulden't be any Bios issues? And is there a limit of storage capacity that my 4-5 Year old Inspiron-17-i5 can handle on both Hard Drives (primary and secondary). Thanks.
The dell specs for that model says m.2 nvme so the Samsung SSD will work

EBay is probably your best bet. Other than that Amazon would be the next most likely.
How did you expect to drain it down, without removing the CMOS battery? Granted, it would have reset the BIOS, but that's really the only way to properly drain a computer all the way down. You never touched it.
Did you have to reinstall windows? Or does the motherboard come with windows already on the bios ?
Windows is installed onto a drive not the BIOS. At the end of the video I show attempting a repair of Windows and then doing a clean reinstall.
Michael Cooper so if I have windows 10 on the hard drive will it work with a new mother board sorry I’m pretty sure this is a novice question

Where did you buy the motherboard from? I got the same laptop, only I'm getting nothing to turn on when I hit the power button. I suspect the motherboard, I tried jumping the power switch to no avail.
