Not sure if you've been recommended this before, but the company Cameraworks UK makes a really nice drop-in quick load spool for the M2 and M3. I have one in my M2 and it feels and works like a factory made part.
Welcome to the Leica club, I’ve never owned a M2 but I’ve got a few other M models + screw mount Leica’s. The M3 is my personal favourite, I don’t think you will regret your purchase but beware, they are addictive.
Would love to see a followup video on Fuji 400 and elaborating on your scan/edit process you've dialed in and been happy with the results as you mentioned.
I started with the Canon P and my first Leica was the M3. Great pictures. The crooked church looked awesome! It’s funny right before you mentioned the filters I was thinking how great your videos exposure and color grading looked. Superb Quality my friend!
Yo I dig the lens! Been looking for more converted contax lenses I have a 28mm that was converted by Avenon in the 90s but really want more. Don’t really like the look of the funleader conversion though find it loses the beauty of the original contax g system.
Which viewfinder, compared to the Canon P, do you prefer? Especially for 35mm. Got one P but looking for the M2 aswell. I know it's 0.72 magnification in the leica so they are pretty different. Which lens are you using btw? If you said it in the video I missed it sorry
I prefer the viewfinder in the M2 because of the magnification and the sharper lines that feel I bit cleaner. Also, the lens is a Contax G 35mm f/2 that I converted to M mount.
It’s hard to say because they’re so different, but I really enjoy shooting the M2. The F3 is nice because of the internal metering, but I find the M2 easier to focus. The shooting experience of the M2 is also more enjoyable in my opinion. If I were to do a portrait shoot, I’d rather have the F3, but more everyday shooting, I’d rather have the M2.
@@michaelbennettphoto interesting. They both do premium, but they do it differently. It's almost like comparing a handmade leather shoe to a military boot.
The M2 was just a dream camera. It probably didn’t make sense to spend all the money when the Canon P would produce similar images, but it’s something that I wanted. There are also a lot more options for lenses that can be used on M mount cameras.
It's all about the lens system the camera gives you access to. The Leica 35mm f/2 asph is my holy grail lens, by far the dreamiest Bokeh ❤ Congrats on your new camera man!
Yes, but I preferred the M2. In my opinion, I think it’s the better looking camera and it has much cleaner viewfinder since it doesn’t have as many frame lines.

Oh wow that for you the recommendation. I'll take a look at it.
I bought a 3d printed quick load spool for my m3 and it works with the m2 as well! Highly recommend!!!
Oh nice! I’ve looked into getting one! Which one did you get?
Seriously so happy for you! 🎉
Thank you so much!

hahaha I can definitely see the addiction part! The M3 is a camera that I'd love to try out one day.

Hey Mike! I have a video in the works about my film scanning process! I’ll be sure to cover Fuji 400 in there!
instant sub! love the vibe snd the pics dude
Thank you so much dude! I really appreciate it!
Congratulations!!! My dream camera was my Leica M4. Enjoy and nice images.
Thank you! The M4 looks like an amazing camera!

Thank you for the kind words! I really appreciate it! I was really looking at the M3 as I love using a 50mm lens.
Congratulations on your new camera 🙌🏽
Thank you!
It’s a great camera, incredibly well made.
I’ve been shooting so much with it and I couldn’t agree more!
welcome to the team!
Happy to be here!
Welcome to the family! 😊
Thank you! I’m excited to be here!
M2 was my first leica as well. Its the one ill never sell.
I absolutely love mine and I’m in the same boat, I don’t know if I’ll ever sell it.
Great video, subbed! I also bought an m2 a few months ago and considering making a video on my experience with it.
Congrats on the M2! You should definitely make a video!
@@michaelbennettphoto thank you and likewise 👍🏾

I’ve been really enjoying the results I’ve been getting from the lens! The rehousing isn’t the best, but overall the quality of the glass is insane.

@@michaelbennettphoto thank you Michael!
I have a M3 and a M4... I may need something in between..😄
Hahaha! You can't go wrong with an M2 🤪
Bro, this is so weird but that Pentax 67 that belonged to you that I ended up with, I actually traded it for an M2 recently! 😂
Oh wow hahaha! Small world! Hope you enjoy your M2!
@@michaelbennettphoto Oh it's been flawless and such a joy to shoot with.
i own m4 but i shoot b and w ;3 About alternative, nikon s2 and zorki ;34k same
The M4 looks like an amazing camera!
I love my m5 but the m2 is so cool I think if I didn't get my m5 I'd definitely get a m2
I used to have an M5 and I loved it! The metering system was great.
What focal length were you shooting with on the M2
I was using a 35mm lens!
Nice video!!!!! What's the Carl Zeiss lens you were using?
Thank you! It’s a project that I’m working on, but it’s a 35mm lens for the Contax G series of cameras.
Nice. How do you feel the shooting experience compares to the Nikon F3?

Hi. Great photos, what lens did you use? 👋🏻
Hey! It’s a converted Contax G 35mm lens. I’m actually planning on getting more conversion kits and selling the converted lenses.
omg im so jealous rn hahahaha
Hahaha
1200 is close to M4 territory
In my experience, I’ve seen M4’s for ~1,600-1,700 on the low end
Why sell the P to get the M2? Looks, feel, lens? doesn't seem like it's that much of a difference

@@RumoHasIt they're both m mount cameras tho
@scothu isnt the canon P a screw mount M and the Leica a bayonet M? (Genuinely asking, Ive never seen the canon irl)
@@RumoHasIt oh ya it's screw mount so I guess you're correct on different lens options. I thought all m mounts were screw lol
You talk about the camera, but not about the lens..?!??.. 😂😵💫
Hahaha yes, I have a future video planned out about it. It’s a bit of a project that I’m working on!
Best change the title from "My bought..." to " I bought...". Cheers
Oh my goodness haha I didn’t even realize that, thank you!
@@michaelbennettphoto You"re welcome. I thought the video was really good. It's got me interested in Leica.
2024 and leica users shoot the same subject over and over and ove r again ... y'all never get tired of the same shyte
Hahaha this is funny because I’d shoot what I shoot regardless of the camera. I just take photos of anything that peaks my interest.
should have gotten fuji. leica doesn't cut it no more
Hahaha I suppose so, but Fuji didn’t make a 35mm rangefinder film camera that would compete with the Leica M series.
@@ti2809 I thought you said never get a Fujifilm, what’s changed?
You could've bought the m4😢
