In this video me and our Fenzel go up onto the moors to test the 3ful Gear Taiji 2 out in the wind. it was supposed to be 20mph plus 40mph gusts which I think the tent would have been able to handle but it ended up being more like a storm with constant 40mph with stronger gust and it was just too much for the tent.
I was also testing out the new Light Tour sleeping pad which has a high R-value of 5.8 that's been ASTM tested.

Nice to see back home. I used to live in Preston so always out to the moors in Cumbria or Yorkshire. I live in Central Queensland now and camp out in the outback with my mates. Difference being we need to motorbike offroad to our destinations. THank you bringing a taste of home back to me.

Great video Gaz. Superb filming, a choice of music forming a wonderful atmosphere and the entertaining chatter. What a wild night! It sounded like hurricane force at least. But it must feel wonderful to be out and about in the wilds, living one with nature. I'm so envious. I think wee Fenzy has the most wonderful life a pupper could ever hope for. Really good to see you and Fendi again even though it was Abandon Tent!. Some interesting places have been excavated on Norland Moor by past Quarrying. Not a large moor but nice views. It can get busy with dog walkers in the day.

❤ amazing! Reminds me of a trip to New Brunswick Canada where it poured rain for 5 straight days.we had a great Woods tent, but ut was saturated with water. I dug trenches all around the tend to evacuate the water. I was a great natural park with alot of history, but my goodness our timing was bad 😂

Oh sorry Grizzly Gaz! Your videos are highly professional, there is a lot of work involved, I know that from my own experience.
I meant you don't make your videos your main job, you do it as a sideline.
People who earn their money with videos produce videos on the assembly line otherwise they don't earn anything. You don't have that compulsion. You make the films with joy and freedom and that's very nice. (If I work with Google translator as a German speaker 😜)

@@GrizzlyGaz I just wanted to see if I could do it, I was pretty much invisible and I was just thumbing my nose because I got locked out of my house and was crawling in the window to get in and the fuzz thought I was a burglar so I decided to stealth camp on their property like they came on my property, they never asked me anything they just run me in when I got home I packed and I got a😛😡😅 ride as I would get busted if I took my car. I got dropped off and I just was mad.🥳😀😡

Phew, your tent looked like a living thing when it was being blown about like that! At least Fendy didn't get blown away. I like your ideas on places to visit, if you go to North Wales, make sure to have plenty of windproof stuff, it seems ever windy up there. I lived on Anglesey for about 6 years back in the 90's when i was based at RAF Valley, it was very windy a large portion of the time, but the area is beautiful with many wonderful walks and places to go camping, also a lot of creepy stories and places. I highly recommend Llanrwst (Pronounced Clan-roost) as a place to visit or stay at, as it is a stones throw from the mountains and has some great walks itself round a lot of old mining ruins, mines (no access to the mines) and plenty of forest to explore. It also has a castle you can visit which has been used in some TV shows, and a great cafe and good size co-op.

Helsby in Cheshire has some beautiful countryside there is a hill called 'Helsby Hill' with cracking views of Liverpool and the River Mersey and Chester and North Wales also Beeston Castle worth a visit at some point probably when the weather is warmer.
