@@expat0149 HAHA. Apparently the rain amount differs in different parts of the lakes but then google won't tell me much more. I might move there but doubting about the rain if I'm honest :)
Cumbria may lack sun but it has atmosphere! One of my best walks was up Walla Crag in sheeting rain 🌧. No view at the top but we did find shelter under a rock at the top for lunch 🤣 exhilarating!
Yes. Definitely something about being out in the rain that makes you feel good. I remember that you were here last year when everywhere flooded. Quite an experience . 👍🏻😀
haha what a stroke of luck - thanks for making your videos on buttermere, loweswater and crummock, really well made and informative. we were looking at a nearby campsite and we wanted to know what is in store for us when we come and explore in august! absolutely beautiful scenery.
Great video as always Paul, thank you. We love a walk round Buttermere, the cafe you visited and then the road up to the slate mine (the tour there is great too). We visited mid-Jun and walked round Buttermere twice, once in the rain, once on a sunny day - both great and so different. The jeans were a definite foo-pah tho not as bad as the ‘land mine’ you found! Thanks Paul, keep them coming - what about a visit to Dodd Wood…?
Thanks David. 😀 Luckily the ‘land mine’ was from a sheep rather than a dog so it was fairly easy to clean up. 🤣 Dodd Wood & Mirehouse are certainly on my radar. 👍🏻
Don't worry about mistaking the plastic clad hay bundle for a horse Paul. Before you even mentioned it, I thought it was a cow, (but then again, I'm a little bit pissed, being two pints of bitter, two pints of lager snake bite, and a bottle of ridiculously strong cider into the evening!)
Great idea Paul to show the usual weather as well!
Thank you. 👍🏻😀 I think I need to buy some more waterproof stuff before the next one though! 🤣 Very wet! ☔️
We go many times in October. Its great in Autumn also.
I agree. 👍🏻 Thanks for watching. 😀
great video - you certainly wouldn't die of thirst there!
Absolutely 😀👍🏻
Not long moved to the lakes from Oman, i was in Oman for 22 years and am finding the rain and cold a nice change :)
I bet you are. 😀 Quite a change in climate.
How are you finding it now, still happy living in The lakes? Not too wet?
@@BigBrotherwillwatchyou My gills are coming on nicely :) Still happy here though .

No matter what the i weather is like in the lake District it is always beautiful
I would agree 😀 Thanks for watching.
@@ThatllDoVlog That's ok it was a great video
The lake district is what waterproofs were made for
Yep. That’s why we have an abundance of outdoor shops 👍🏻😀
Every time I go to the lakes camping….it rains and I love it as less people are about.
That is the positive side of the rain. Less people. 😀👍🏻

There’s something about being out walking in the rain that makes you feel good. 👍🏻 You just need to watch out for the slippery rocks. 😀
We loved it so much more in the rain! We'd really like to see more videos in the wet weather because we will be coming in your winter!
😀👍🏻I’ll do my best to get out and do some more in the rain. I think I need to invest in some waterproof trousers first though! 😀Thanks for watching.
@@ThatllDoVlog yes waterproof trousers are a must! I'd suggest a waterproof hat too 😉
As much as we love the Lakes in sunshine, we do like it even more in the rain. Maybe we are just daft.
Another enjoyable video Paul, thanks.

The rain clouds are fascinating
still magnificent
good to do a reality check on weather
my heart is there sigh
😀Definitely. A different experience in the wet but still beautiful. Thanks for watching. 👍🏻
Another magical video Paul
I prefer the autumn months for the lakes, rain no problem that"ll do 😊
Thanks Kevin. 😀👍🏻 I think I actually prefer winter. It’s generally quieter and when we get snow on the tops it looks fantastic.
Was round Crummock couple months ago , and nice to see comparison in rain Done Honister pass in cloudy wet day and takes on an erie felling ..
It is quite spooky on the passes when the mist comes down. 😀👍🏻
Lovely video Paul…happy memories of going fishing with my dad on the river Derwent and sitting under the tress whilst it poured down 😊
Thank you. 👍🏻😀 I think sometimes the rain provides better memories than the sunshine. ☔️😃

Thank you. 😀👍🏻 You’ve picked a beautiful part of the lakes to visit. My favourite area actually. I’m sure you will love it. 😎
Thank you
I prefer the rain

🤣 As long as you’re have a good evening. That’s all that matters. 👍🏻🍺
Oh no didn't realise it rained all the time. That's where I'm planning to live
It doesn’t rain all the time. Just most of the time. ☔️😀
