Once you get past the defender he is relevant either you're gonna catch the ball or you're gonna not catch the ball. So concentrate on catching that ball because if he hits you before you catch the ball you get the yards anyway.
He could have sold the route to the sideline then skinny post. Still nice play on the ball. Hopefully he will get his routes a little more crisp. If so he will be a very nice weapon
