Love the sound of my magnaflow true x muffler. I went true duals from long tubes back. Removed the silencer. Which is behind the two cats and left it true duals back to the dual in and dual out magnaflow. Than ran the duals out each corner. Sounded great, no drone.
Now throw a mild cam in it!

I have flow master super 10 on my Silverado. So loud and so sweet sounding. Plus the extra power is pretty crazy with everything else I have

I run the k&n air intake through the 6.2L V8 to the Gibson shorty headers to 4" pipe to the flowmaster super 10 to 3.5" pipe out. Sounds perfect...

Magnaflow is definitely the right choice!! Way back in high school we all wanted that obnoxious flow master sound. I have had Magnaflow on the Chevy and GMC for the past 12 years. Also a matte silver and bronze sticker would look sick on the black truck!

Exhaust sound is kinda like "to each their own". I had duals on my 2012 Chevy Silverado (5.3L, 4x4, crew). Loved the sound around town...blasting off at the green lights, etc. Out on the highway at speed tho...deafening. The worst part is when the engine went into v4 mode...really "groaned" like a dying duck. I have a 2014 Chevy Silverado now with no exhaust mods, but I do miss having that "take off" roar going through the gears.
Got the Gibson dual sport on mine... Much louder than that.

I have a Flowmaster Super 40 series muffler on my 4.6L V8 Ford F-150 and it’s about the same sound little bit louder.

Wait 8ft 6x6 for the stands? How deep you putting these things in the ground?? They should be at least 2 foot with concrete considering the weather that whole thing would have to withstand. That leaves only a 6ft high to walk under..

My dad has a 1986 k20 with a 350 and it will do 100 mph no problem and the only thing it ever needed was a battery and speedometer cable
Blake Dayton it was a diesel k20. You'd be lucky to hit 75 on a steep downgrade lol
TheSchanen51 its all about the gearing not about diesel or gas you would think the diesel has more power than a gas engine
Blake Dayton Gearing may have helped some, you're right. But the 6.2 GM Diesel motors designed by Detroit diesel had an output of 130hp for the civilian models haha. It couldn't get out of it's own way...

Magnaflow is awesome best sounding because like you said no drone and its fairly quiet till you hit the gas! I love the deep tone of it not like Flowmaster or Gibson which is a bit overly loud and tinny sounding
