I tried using the A1's rockets as flares in custom matches against late jets. It was weird. one time it worked, other times it didn't, but I also managed to DODGE an F-16's rockets so whatever works I guess, it's weird.
The Grim Reapers did something like this in DCS. Time-travelling A-10s vs. WW2 Wehrmacht. They died pretty fast because the A-10 is so slow prop fighters can catch it and not maneuverable enough to dogfight them. Also, in War Thunder I've sometimes brought BR 2.7 props into high tier to try to get God Mode awards against AGM helis. I once killed an A-10 with a Yak-7B that way; once I was close, he didn't stand a chance.

If the A-10 players had played it slow and focused on energy trapping the props then they would have it in the bag. If the ammo does not run out first that is.

No. The A-10s armor is very accurately modeled in game. It's just that the idea of a survivable plane is a myth. There's a reason that the a-10 was only deployed to shoot terrorists in the desert, and not against militaries with actual aa.

I would say the A-10s are being way too aggressive. The A-10 is basically a 262 with higher muzzle velocity, missiles, and better armor. You can't just tank prop planes with that. You need to actually B&Z and maintain an energy advantage.
these A-10 players are so bad, literally firing their missiles head-on which makes it less effective since the others can see it and can maneuver early on, then they'll panic when hit then dive which makes them much easier target and lose their energy, and lastly they'll act like a superprop.

@BrokenSociety966 MANPADS aren’t wonder weapons. They have a low ceiling and limited range. It’s easy enough for a F-35 or similar to fly above their engagement zone.

Stealth aircraft would rarely fly where they could be engaged by MANPADS. A MANPADS launch does not ensure a hit, and a hit does not ensure a kill. Maybe more likely for a hit F-35 to go down, but we’ve seen SU-25s tank hits from MANPADS and continue to fly with some level of damage.
@BrokenSociety966 By a SAM not a MANPADS, only because the pilot left the bomb bay doors open for an extended period, and the F-117 and F-35 are vastly different.
