- KING FOR A SUMMER
This is the inside story of 6024 "King Edward l" and her storming performances at the head of the Torbay Express during the summer of 2008. Having taken over from the Bulleid Pacific "Tangmere", the 6024 Preservation Society was determined that their engine would stand up to the gruelling challenges of Whiteball Bank and the hilly spine of land that separates Paignton from Kingswear. The TV documentary crew rode with 6024 for several weeks and the resulting documentary provides an exquisite insight into how the King reigned supreme for a summer.

Brilliant film, brings back happy memories if only it could be like that now. Would go back to those days in a heartbeat!
Absolutely Fantastic!
Excellent film, thank you for sharing. Nice voice, same narrator as from the World of Railways channel?

The bloke in the cab seems unprotected from a fall. The younger bloke with the rag in his hand. Looks dangerous.

The narrative is superb. Perhaps someone can enlighten us as to whose voice that is. Otherwise, utter western dullness.
