Jill Warrick is a main character from Final Fantasy XVI.
Ever since being taken from her homeland as a political hostage at a young age, the Archduke of Rosaria raised Jill like a sister to Clive and Joshua, and eventually, Jill became the Rosfield brothers' trusted confidant. At the beginning of the story, Jill is 12 years old. She is the Dominant of Shiva.

Ifrits theme: Explosive, every of its hymn is filled with anger but with a sense of justice
Phoenix’s theme: Fiery, like its twin, it screams justice but filled long arranged chords of doubt and fear of itself dying before its job is finished
Shiva’s theme: filled with sorrow, its music is fillled with a forceful blow of drums tvut despite that, the alluring music of the goddess is trying to dominate it with its calm hymn
Titan’s theme: Prideful, music boasts as if it was king of all, but all the whispers indicates the titan’s insecurity and fear of losing, as his prideful is to enclose its biggest weakness
Garuda’s Theme: Full of every kines of emotions while Confusion and Doubt as its loudest score. Like the wind, The song doesnt know what lies ahead but it doesnt think and keep moving forward to its demise, like a tornado that knew only trouble and destruction it will bring on its Storm
Bahamut’s theme: Persisent, the seriosa and Pipe piano combined with its Violen gets more and more sharp and fast in the music, just like Bahamut’s patience. In the end of the song we can hear the same lines of the Violin twice while the second one gets more faster and persistent like the Prince himself, symbolizing that his heart stands true despite the grief that surrounds him
Odin’s theme: Mellow, its music are equal to music that is played on a Funeral. Its a lonely music accompanied with blind justice that doesnt know itself. Simple, yet its cruel
This is such a great description of the music. I didn't catch that part on Titan's theme. Nice one
I wish Cid had his own theme like the others.

I love how the choir in the end of the game tranforms into "my star"
Leitmotif. “Lunar serenade”, the song that plays when she says a prayer on the balcony in the moon, is also a leitmotif of my star

I really like theme that plays when Shiva first comes on the screen in the Titan vs Shiva scene. I would assume its either Shiva or Jill's theme.

My favourite theme and leitmotif from FFXVI
Just started my FF run to finish up the last two trophies and it had been so long (60-70hours?) that I didn’t put two and two together that this theme had the My Star lietmotif so when I reached this part on that NG+ run I had a deeper appreciation for it than I did the first time around not really understanding what was going on.
The music in this game is fantastic.
A true queen.

I just started Final Fantasy mode on this game and this fight. I finally got to fully enjoy this OST with the fight lasting longer and more challenging. You can feel the resolve!

I think one of the sickest things about this fight is its a 3 way battle for the first half of it, so Jill would be occasionally too busy killing her Ironblood oppressors before she turns attention to you, made the battle itself even more exciting fsr

Deadass i totally avoided her at the beginning of the fight just to wack on the other guys until they were all dead. Than i just held back against her for about a minute until i resigned myself that the game wasnt gonna give me a choice. It hurt me each and every time i hit her, but i got the fight over and done with as quick as i could so it would be as painless as possible for me (and her lol).

She’s a strong solid character, but I wish her as shiva did more. She did help save clive as shiva, but there were some points where I think she could have done more
@@shogun2212I think how sparingly she used Shiva was actually very good storytelling. We know that priming and using magic comes at a high cost via the crystal’s curse, and the Iron kingdom had been forcing Jill to prime for their conquest for ten years before we met her again. Tarja even mentions fairly early on that “it’s spreading,” so I think Jill was only using Shiva as a last resort to preserve what was left of her own life.

I like her. I feel like Square could have done more for her character. I've helped NPCs in game that I felt more emotion for. She's a good girl and has so much potential that feels like it was slept on. Regardless, Jill is the sweetest waifu.
Is it just me or Jill reminds me of Sarah from FFXV (That Terra Wars crossover)? Did Square actually took notes from people shipping both Noctis and her and implemented it into this game?
well Sakaguchi was also a fan of Sarah from the Terra Wars crossover, and felt sorry that whatever FF Versus 13 and FF15 did originally didnt became a thing so he helped out with the DLC for FF15 back then. That and I think Yoshi-p showing off what he could do does help xD

I don't think Clives father was being as altruistic as we first believed in adopting Jill and taking her into his household. I think he may have knew that she was a potential Dominant from her background was keen for her and Clive to get close. That way he could marry them together and with Joshua already known as the Phoenix, the Duchy of Rosaria would not only have two Eikons but their bloodline would have been bound within Rosaria as well, elevating it to a great power that could then be used to take back Drake's Breath if his initial plan failed.
Solid theory but that sounds much more like Annabella's idea.
Though I do not doubt that Elwin knew of the bond Jill and Clive forged before Phoenix gate. They're inseperable at the start of the game and then in "Priceless" they talk of running off to Mann's Hill to see the snow daisies, holding hands.
Elwin took her as she was the King's daughter of the northern realms. She was leverage at worst, a deterrent at best. What she became to Clive is something I doubt either Elwin or Annabella saw coming.
This wasn't some secret, Shiva's dominant came from the northern royal bloodline. She became a hostage/ward after Rosaria defeated the Northern Territories to stop their raids. Since the Blight has overtaken most/all of the Northern Territory and that nation doesn't functionally exist at the start of the game, she's essentially adopted/a ward since there's no reason to hold her hostage.
@@CsStrez important to note that ironholm is part of the northern kingdoms. She says as much in the balcony scene. She thought the war between THEIR nations would end.
@@DarthPingu07 no it isn’t. The Iron Kingdom are the nation on the islands to the west of Storm. The Northern Territories border Rosaria(to the north, unsurprisingly), and are all but overtaken with Blight. They went to war with Rosaria to take new land, since they lost their mother crystal. Jill was the daughter of the Northern Territories chief, and that bloodline had long held the dominant of Shiva.
The Iron Kingdom never had a dominant until they got a hold of Jill after Phoenix Gate, and their religion explicitly despises them and all other bearers.
@@CsStrez the iron kingdom is the last of the northern territories. When the north was taken by the blight they took Drustanus from Rosaria as they had nowhere else to go.
Jill was taken before she found her powers. Instead of throwing her away or killing her, they used her. They have priests specifically for priming. They may call dominants abominations but they know power when they see it

butterfly effect 🦋 right here/ if that iron blood soldier had not trow that axe, thankfully killing the mercenary, Jill would have died decapitated given Clive was still in shock, of course he struggled to recall his own will as a human being given the 13 years he was serving as a slave to empire, after a few moments he finally broke out those chains, set everything aside and decided to save Jill because it’s the right thing to do and because it’s not fair, incredible how that iron blood literally *spoilers ahead* destroyed his own kingdom by saving her since nothing on the story would have happened if at that moment he hadn’t thrown that axe, making Clive come back to his senses.
I like Jill, but I wish she didn't feel so underutilized. She probably has more screentime than anyone else in the supporting cast, and save a few instances, she mostly is just... kinda there.
I really liked how present and active she is during the whole Drake's Breath segment, conquering her trauma and all that, and being essential to beating the boss. After that she's definitely sidelined and it's a shame :/

She isnt present for the Garuda Battle and neither is she for the Titan one.

She is present for Bahamut but doesnt join the fight as that was Josh and Clives moment.
The Drakes Breath chapter is her moment. Do I think her Diamond Dust could have been better? For sure, but I think the nature of her diamond dust would have been inconcenient for Clive. Still, she should have been able to freeze that area over imo. Her 2 DDusts were a little lacking.
She doesnt do much during the climax of Drakes Head which i find interesting, but also I guess one has to be careful.
She has summoned Shiva so many times that she needs to be measured when it comes to calling her or she gonna turn to dust.
If there is one place I think would be good to have her, it would be vs. Odin, but that was better as a duel.
So really, aside from Drakes Breath and Rosaria, there is nowhere u can put her.
You could say she should fight with Clive against Hugo in Rosaria, but should she? Her head was neaely lopped off and that was Clives moment.
Besides, having her just be Clive's always there ride or die wife has a diff kinda charm to it.
@@joshaboi7467 Imo even her big moment in the game still felt so small. She sits on the sidelines and uses ice to stop lava from reaching us while we do all the fighting, pretty underwhelming for her big character moment. And even then the enemy we fight is no big deal its some random lava monster. Would have actually liked to have her fight another eikon and win, let the player control her for a bit.

Jill may not be as high tier waifu as Tifa/Aerith and honestly she doesn't have to be.
I respect the fact that she didn't overstep her welcome,didn't treat her party members like absolute crap,wasn't as boring as Lightning nor forgettable like Noctus's GF from FFXV
She's likable enough like any other good female FF characters,Decently written and Ya know what that's more than enough.
She is an S tier waifu!
Her personal growth and relationship with Clive put her way above Tifa and Aerith in my books.

Also i need to tell you this i did not know there was another final fantasy and i was seeing videos and i found this part and i start to cry because jill is the exact face of my first love Ashley that died when i was 6 years and ½ by a guy in front of my face and her last words was: Night ... promise me... don't change... i love you. (Noche... prométeme... no cambies... te amo)
I said i promise. And she died and i scream and start completely to lose control attacking everyone and everything.
Now i found this game and saw the part and i said: no... she reencarned in a game. Then i found out that she was shiva and i said lets see how she looks. And boom. I said its her 😭 the only difference are
Jill difference from Ashley: hair, voice, size.
Shiva difference from Ashley: nothing just the costume and voice.
So as soon the game comes out i will buy it the ultimate collection edition.

@@sentboumaster3436 I don't know and i don't care. 13 is a disaster of a game, charecters were so forgettable as well as the story i don't remember any of it. i kinda only remember lightning and her sister.
Jill is not the strongest. She has a lot of weaknesses and suffers the consequences of her actions. She has to be reminded that life isn't just pain and suffering, and when she is reminded, she calmly, relentlessly, loves and devotes in return. Jill is not the strongest, but she is Clive's other half and 16 core message can't exist without her.
