The other bit that surprised me is the first two bars of the Celesta solo at 0:10 (the E# and D# in particular). I can't say for sure where Williams got this technique, but he does love setting up these very harmonious climaxes and then putting something unexpectedly dissonant RIGHT at the point of no return (the other obvious example is the glaring A-natural right before the credits of A New Hope, right as Chewie yells). If there's a foolproof way of manufacturing goosebumps, it's probably this.
Ryan your passion for HP pops at 1:52 with the massive instrumental swell that comes in right then mate, also love the huge crescendo right at the end. Well done!
OMG -- I was going to have a string quartet play my Church Ceremony wedding but this sealed the deal on hiring the organist !!! AMAZING ... this played at min 1:30 after we are married and walk back down the aisle !!!
Hello! I’m getting married this Halloween and I would love to walk down the aisle to this. Would that be okay? I’m happy to compensate for your absolutely beautiful work!
Alas, UMPG is already taking all the ad revenue from this video, because they don't think my video qualifies as "fair use" (debatable). Which is fine and all--it's not a lot of money--but strikes me as a bit silly.
There's a scale at 1:50 - 1:55 which ends like A#-B and it works SO WELL but it's a detail I'd never even noticed in the original

First of all congratulations on graduating, second of all this is beautiful to listen to, since you graduated, what are you gonna do now?
whats this instrument called ?
@InsidetheScore can you tell about it more, please?
I am a professional organist and a huge Harry Potter and John Williams fan. This is fantastic! Bravo!
I'm a bassist/guitarist, but I have to admit...the pipe organ is the most powerful musical instrument, levels above everything else.
mannn this brings tears to my eyes.. i’m graduating high school this year and i always felt like this would be the song to play😢😣
i graduated in may of this year
If you ever have a concert, even if it's just this song I would totally buy tickets and come see you play this masterpiece. Well done! 😍

This should have much more attention! This is beautiful and absolutely impressive!
Brilliant! Technique, beautiful pipe organ tone colors, and orchestration. It’s all there.
One of the coolest things I've heard in a while. Especially around 1:55
This is severely underrated, Absolutely nailed the arrangement. I heard every part I wanted to hear. Thank you

You are a very talented musician and you did this piece great justice!
Idk what I just saw or heard, but that was the most beautifulest piano piece I’ve ever heard.
It makes you want to stand together with your best friends, and laugh together, quietly reminiscing over the years.
Very touching for all Harry Potter fans! Congratulations!

Hi. Is there and sheet music for this piece? I would love to play it. //small organist
Is there sheet music available?
How did you get the toy piano solo?
This organ has some really nice percussion stops! Though one of the bell stops on Manual 1 *may* have been a MIDI effect 😛
😮😮😮😮😮😮❤❤❤❤
Someone pass the tissues 😭
Rest in peace Robbie Coltrane aka Hagrid.
Fucking go on son!
This video was uploaded 3 years after the '19 years later' scene from Deathly Hallows

@@ryankennedy3109 Sad. It is fantastically beautiful! And, 1:52 WOW. Consider Jongen, movement 3. Think it's PD.
