It's good to be back! Allein Gott, BWV 664.
This was my first week back at work/church since the Summer of Doom, and of course I had to go big on the prelude! Bach's Trio on "Allein Gott in der Höh sei Ehr" (Glory to God in the highest), but because it's such a special occasion, I'm skipping the flute stops you usually hear in this piece and using the Tuba against the full great chorus. Hope you enjoy-this is not how I usually play this piece!

Leaving Hogwarts (I graduated!)

Happy September 1! Which, if you've forgotten, is when term begins every year at Hogwarts. This is my first September in a very long time not going to school, and there's a bittersweet feeling about it... the world was so much simpler last September. But life goes on. There is a lot of music out there for us, and as Dumbledore noted, music is magic beyond anything they do at Hogwarts. I'll do m...
Blumine-The Mahler Project

People of the future: Back in 2020, we were all stuck inside, and I couldn't go to a church to record this piece, so I cobbled together some MIDI keyboards and a pedalboard, and recorded it at home using a sampler (Hauptwerk, free version), a sample set (St. Anne's Moseley), and a whole lot of patience! This piece, titled Blumine ("Flowery"), was the original second movement of Mahler's First S...

Ravel's Ondine on the organ

Ryan Kennedy, organist. Thanks to Ray Nagem and Kent Tritle for hosting me at St. John the Divine Cathedral in New York City. Something about those flutes in a "liquid" acoustic led me to think this would work... Taking a break and doing some Bach next :p Ryan is currently accepting concert engagements for the 2017-2018 season. Please email matthieugermain13@gmail.com with inquiries.
Ravel's Scarbo on the organ? A musical experiment.

WOW
Благодарю
You are cute and talented
C'est genial. Amazement.
Brilliant! Technique, beautiful pipe organ tone colors, and orchestration. It’s all there.
What an amazing rendition. This needs more views.
One of the coolest things I've heard in a while. Especially around 1:55
mannn this brings tears to my eyes.. i’m graduating high school this year and i always felt like this would be the song to play😢😣
i graduated in may of this year
Extremely imaginative.
If you ever have a concert, even if it's just this song I would totally buy tickets and come see you play this masterpiece. Well done! 😍
Why did this not go VIRAL? I seriously don’t understand how internet works at this point!
Beautiful
woooooow
Amazing
Great! ❤
🥺🥲🥲😍😍
parabéns pelo trabalho, muito bom!!!
You are a very talented musician and you did this piece great justice!
Incredible- not sure about playing it in a church though! Bit too dark and mischievous for that 😂😂
Its impresionant how you orchestrated this master piece with your organ!!!! Im very impressend. Congratulations from Spain.
Wow.
Brilliant!
Being able to split the opening chords between two hands while playing the melody with your feet must make this piece so much easier
It really does! I think some people miss that transcriptions aren't about making music hard and impressive, but about making it idiomatic on a different instrument.
very interesting and other worldly
Absolutely brilliant- translates to the king of instruments superbly well and adds a vibe and feeling the piano just can’t -I would love to hear this in Liverpool Anglican cathedral- it would sound superb on it - again bravo 👏🏻 👍🏻🍻🥃
This is absolutely beautiful. It sounds so rich and magical. I'm instantly transported back to the first movie.
When "M." de la Nuit "inspired" Aloysius Bertrand, perhaps he had thought of an organ to set them to music..... At least, for these two pieces. Would it be possible to do the same with a piece with Le Gibet's tempo ?
Ondine already sounds somewhat supernatural in its original version, but in this transcription for organ, it sounds completely spectral. *Phantastic*
Wonderful playing!! Superb!
Brilliant performance!!!
I really wanna listen you as live
Amazing bro
I love this on organ. This sounds amazing! 🎉
RIP Michael Gambon…. /*
Fantastic
Nice
Hello, Ryan, Thank you for such a fine arrangement and superb performance. I'm preparing my first short film and would be interested in talking to you more about the musical side of the project. How could we write to each other ? I'm on facebook and instagram. I look forward to hearing from you, Abel
wow
This was so amazing!!! Thank you for sharing!!!!
really enjoyed this wonderfully mastered arrangement and the rendition👋
Holy shit, you completely nailed it.
1:40 brought a tear to my eye and shivers all over. Thank you for sharing your talents with us
😮😮😮😮😮😮❤❤❤❤
This is neat! Do you have music for this? How would someone learn it?
Very impressive performance -- and memorized!
Someone pass the tissues 😭
Is there sheet music available?
Who is cutting onions?
This is severely underrated, Absolutely nailed the arrangement. I heard every part I wanted to hear. Thank you
This is amazing! Thank you.
