Thanks so much for listening! It took a while to arrange and practice this piece, but I hope it did justice to one of my favorite soundtracks and favorite composer, John Williams!
For those who wish to learn this can grab the sheet music here: www.musicnotes.com/l/vGDQJ
I'd love to see your performances!
And once again: Long live the Maestro, John Williams!
I love your pieces you play. Keeps me going thru today's hard times. Thanks so much😘
I can only be jealous at this. Your talent is truly amazing!❤️
i was doing covers to some of yours songs, but this one is really hard :D, still have to practice more :)
Astonishing, absolutely. I love Harry Potter story, what you do and how you play, for me, is breathtaking 😊❤
Keep up posting your work, it is so wonderful
How long did it take to arrange it? Can't have been very long, since 95%+ of it is directly ripped off from Jarrod Radnich's arrangement.
People who don't play the piano can't possibly comprehend how difficult this arrangement is. Undoubtedly the most astonishing performance of a Harry Potter medley I've ever heard.
it also conveys the most emotion of any remix i've encountered, delightful.
Listen of jarod radnih also
I think Jarrod Radnich's performance was also really good. Yeah this arrangement is incredibly hard.
peter buka
This is exactly what I was thinking watching this vid
Me: how could you possibly play a whole orchestra part on one single piano?
Peter Bence: hold my butterbeer
@@hoon_sol no it's not. The execution is quite different.
also Peter Bence: let me check on Ravel and Rachmaninoff
You tried.
Lol, listen to Stravinsky’s transcription of Petrushka
?
I never thought that someone would create a composition more complex than Jarrod Radnich's Harry potter arrangement.
You definitely showed the world the next level of Harry Potter piano theme.
This is clearly sped up, I can't believe nobody here sees this 😆
@@kuboteuszits not what are you talking about
@@kuboteuszuhh coz it’s not?
@@kuboteusz Nah. Watch some more classical performances. Very advanced pianists can absolutely play this fast. Check out some of Liszt's Transcendental Etudes, Rach's 3rd concerto, Cziffra's Flight of the Bumblebee, some Prokofiev, etc.
Crap I came here looking for something a step down from the Jarrod one 😂
This is basically an _avada kedavra_ to all other HP covers
Excepted Jarrod Radnich’s one 😂
Didn’t expect to find you here. You’re one of my favorite pianists

This is easily one of Peter's best and most fiendishly difficult and challenging arrangements -- the timing and coordination required to execute this is just mind-boggling
He did warn us that Dark magic was involved
Honored to get a
This isn't his arrangement as all. It's Jarrod Radnich's arrangement. Also, it's played way worse.
Here is the original, which this guy is apparently shamelessly trying to plagiarize (and failing at): ruclips.net/video/zvSIFofFH90/видео.html
@@hoon_sol first off, quite familiar with Mr. Radnichs work and have seen this video previously. It clocks in at around 2 and a half minutes, whereas Peter's arrangement is nearly 5 minutes long. Hes clearly added some sections and techniques such as string plucking and the elbow drop which were not in the so-called "original"...yes that is also an insanely impressive and fine arrangement but calling Peter's play way worse is I think diminishing the quality of both superlative pianists and is fully unwarranted -- calling it a shameless plagiarism when they're separate arrangements is a joke as well...
@@th3gimp17:
The only thing that's diminishing anything here is the person who made this video shamelessly plagiarizing Jarrod and not even managing to play it properly.
You not even acknowledging that this is literally blatant plagiarism is the joke.
As a fellow pianist, I can tell you, this was insane
Bold of you to consider yourself a pianist after listening to that. 🥲

Mate, playing the piano as a hobby doesn't make a you a pianist.
1:24-1:34 hell ya, thats amazing
In the hands of a supremely talented pianist, the piano can feel like it is an entire orchestra. Spellbinding performance.
Totalement d'accord :o
C'est impressionnant !
Man the DETAIL!!!!! Must’ve taken weeks!! Ur nailing so many parts of the orchestra. Hope John Williams sees this.
Weeks? You are joking right? Say more months or years to make this soo perfect and smooth..
@@geada7music627 well it is Peter bence it would take HIM a few weeks but other people years.
Or me, never lol

Anything John Williams touches turns to gold. His music is absolute genius.

As we can say in this piece there are many very difficult passages, and Peter is able to play them with an astonishing fast way and a SUPERARTICULATION fingering!!! He's a pro musician, without any doubt!!!!!😮😮😮😮
Dans tout ce que j'ai écouté de Peter Bence, rien n'égale cet arrangement de la musique de Harry Potter... Pas d'astuces électroniques, juste du talent à l'état pur.
Magnifique.
Ah, music. A magic beyond all we do here!

Beautiful arrangement and fantastic execution. There is so much Williams in there, never seen an orchestra on a piano like that before.
I know magic isn't real, but I'm having second thoughts after watching this performance. Absolutely stunning, Peter.
This is breathtaking. Stunning. And I am a concert pianist myself (as in, an actual paid concert artist). Peter's execution, writing, and flawless performance is unmatched.
Peter Bence, you are my favorite pianist of the 21st century.
Can't wait to spend 40 hours learning this masterpiece 🙏🏽
Professional pianist & composer here too, and couldn't agree more. Peter Bence is the best of our generation!!!

@@sylvainm.6516 That's true. Although there are quite some parts that are 100% the same. I wouldn't call it plagiarism but I'm pretty sure it was inspired by Jarrod Radnich' s performance. Wonderful! An arrangement where you can hear that it's not just about making a well-known piece of music particularly complicated, but where there is actually added value in terms of harmony and dynamics. A masterpiece! Thank you for taking the time to develop it.

Amazing to see your fingers slytherin so fast up and down the keyboard.
This is an amazing arrangement. I saw him in NYC at Town Hall, and he was great. The audience loved it. He played so cleanly you could eat off the keys. But beside the virtuosity, I think he’s the coolest, hippest pianist around, and I’ve been around a long time. If he wasn’t so expensive, I’d love to try to get him produced here, the stomping grounds of Prince and Dylan.
