I wouldn’t say a slow down for me other than just a stand still. I haven’t added more clips really in the past few months but I’m lucky if I’m getting around 1-5 sales a month, which is what I was last year. Overall it’s not yet been worth my time to shoot/ edit/ upload/ tag everything so I’m not going to upload much more for now!
@@agreatalternative That makes sense, it is a lot of work to get everything online. I've only been seeing a sale every 4-6 weeks at the moment with over 1100 clips on there, maybe it will pick up as we head into the summer. I've been having much better results on other sites but would be nice to see Pond 5 doing better.
@@agreatalternative For me sites listed worst to beat would be - Motion Elements, Light Stock, Pond 5, Getty, Adobe, Shutter Stock, Envato, Motion Array. I'm only one year in so im interested in o see how it goes in year two.
@@stevedaniels5 For pretty much all the filming I do on this channel (plus it’s the camera I use for work) is an S1H. I also use a Sony ZV-1 and an iPhone 11 sometimes for extra shots
@stevedaniels5 Ha well I’d even forgotten it was there, as I stopped adding it to my videos ages ago as I haven’t earnt a penny from Amazon affiliate links, plus I didn’t really want to do that in the first place, so no harm in asking!
Thank you! Good luck making sales, what kind of things do you like to capture? I would but the moment I only upload to pond 5 so I’d have to go watch a RUclips tutorial first 😂
🤞 Maybe! 🤞 None of the clips of Abel have sold yet so that could be the genre that takes off, as there will be enough on there to make a whole documentary about him after this year of filming 😁
Interesting stuff. You really put a lot of work into some of your clips. I've been uploading to Pond5 for a couple of months now and have yet to get any sales. I shoot drone videos and believe that they're quite goos and getting better all the time. Pond5 gives me a bit of a goal to shoot for and, if nothing else, exposure. Thanks for sharing your experience and all the best!
Thanks Jorg! I wouldn’t get down heartened if your clips don’t sell soon, I had uploaded almost a 1000 before I’d had my first sale, and three years later the clips that are selling for me are the ones I uploaded first, rather than the more recent uploads. I think because it’s such a library huge library it takes time to have your clip seen over others - that’s why naming and shooting in well known locations can be a good start! Good luck with it!
Discovered your channel an hour ago and have been watching LOADS of your videos. I have HOURS of footage at 4k and you have given me the inspiration to do something with it. I'm off to Pond5 to sign up as a creator, do you have any referrals I can use so it helps you out? Thanks.
Hey Sean, thanks so much, I’m really glad it’s helped you out!! Yes there should be a referral link for Pond5 in the description, other than that what would be really handy is if you liked the videos I’ve made with Glasbren (the “Monthly market garden” videos) then a shoutout one of your videos would go a huge way to helping me out! Seeing all the content you’ve made about your allotment journey I’m off now to watch some of your videos! 😁 Cheers Jason
You should be on Blackbox
How are sales looking now? I've been seeing a big slow down on Pond5 the last several months.

Really great looking stuff! Forgive me for asking, but what cam are you using here?

Definately joining under your link. Can you do a video on how to upload stock footage on Shutterstock
Thank you!

@@agreatalternative Best of luck on getting sales on those! A documentary on Abel/Glasbren would be great!
@benmoffitt7524 It’s definitely coming! Just about 20 other projects to do first 😂
