I added a similar inspection port, and once a year I just pour a little bleach down it. I was having an issue with mold or some slime would accumulate in the drain and clog it. The yearly bleach seemed to prevent that.

For how much you use the Tennessee place personally....I wonder if it would be better to sell it and then just rent a place down there when you want to visit? 8hrs away is a long way to handle stuff, and with the costs and stress....I think I'd be selling that one off.

It’s a Weston food strainer. Works really well. Just half our quarter larger tomatoes, throw them in the hopper. The front discharges the juice or sauce and the side discharges the skin and seeds. amzn.to/4e2GNHx

I am currently having the same issue with my AC in my house. I have cleaned out the drain in the past and it solved the issue. This time unfortunately the A coil pan has developed a leak so time for a new unit. It's 30 years old so I'm okay with that.
