Unreal experience for my first car track day! Gutted about that audi lap but a blessing in disguise as got to drive those other phenomenal cars. Definitely got the bug now. Thanks guys!
thinking the same as a bus driver lol i'd love to see how he'd cope with the front axle being behind you when you steer and then the air suspension levelling constantly
Was driving my MX5 mk2.5 1.8 VVT 144hp home late one night on a narrow public road and infront of me was a kind of royal mail post man sized van. The van driver wanted to play and he took off and I tried to keep up in the MX5. Soon though we reached an area with concrete bollards and narrow give way parts and tight turns, one mistake at those speeds and you were done. Well I got scared and backed off but the van driver was rapid and fearless and flew out of sight. What a madlad he showed me how slow I was!
@@_Jonez_ in my experience as a former postie it's actually easier to blow through those tight bollard sections in a van, the straight sides and seating position make them super easy to place on the road. I've chased down a good few MX-5s or similar in the little Peugeot Partners before, they're actually not bad for in-gear pull thanks to the diesel torque which helps.
Except put Scott out of his comfort zone for this challenge, and set up an inner city delivery van style course, including reversing into loading docks....
@@__-fm5qv used to fly through width restrictions in a sprinter van, as you say being higher up lets you get it nice and straight. as soon as the fronts through the back follows exactly as it should
For me, the "every time (scenario), we upgrade the car" series gets a little bit boring. I really liked the races (car vs. bike, car vs. tram in london and so on). A little bit more variation would be nice!
or more variation where you see each individual personal experience with cars put on a test, or just random shenanigans... this is is simply "we rented time on a track, we got race cars and a race car driver, vs X"
Well done that man. I drove an Atom once, proper hard to drive, buy then I didn't have any help or practice, just thrown out on a Track Day....3 or 6 laps round a track, various cars type of thing! He did good 👍🏼
@@420basco Good shout. Maybe with some more track/car time and temperature in the tyres it would go faster. Also a bit less hooning it out of the corners.
Well Scott have been all over the place with the Ariel. Look at the exits. It's still quite fast with no systems and those tires. A car like this needs proper slicks. The effect of the passenger/ballast is also making a bigger change in% than with the Porsche (more curb weight). But yeah Porsche just delivers.
He is a good act. You should consider bringing him back! Everyone except racerman is pretty normal but nice to see regular folks enjoying the shit out of themselves.
Great video! Principally the last part where Daniel has done all the commentary on the lap with Scott on the Atom, what a great commenter you had there!
You should let them end on another lap in the Miata. To see how they do with the added confidence and track knowledge. Compared to their original time.
I would rather watch another Subaru build, than watch all the same videos with same jokes and same... I don't know, flatness. It's always Scott trying to show off and everyone here else is just to show how amazing he (again) is
The reason Callum doesn't recognise it is because it's not even a car. It's some sort of hovercraft or anti-gravity machine. It's obvious from the sound and the fact that at 0:33 the "wheels" aren't even going round.
Is this the new format? Upgrading the car until it's quick enough? I'm not complaining if it is, but if not then you might want to mix up the episodes a little
Hi, the link to register a car doesn't work (at least on a Nothing One mobile phone). Mine's a 2002 4.2litre supercharged Jaguar XKR. Showroom condition. County Durham (up north). You're welcome
I really hope you guys get a Professional Driver to do that and scare the living hell out of Scott :) Gonna be difficult to find one, which Scott won't know though
Yeah as an experienced track driver (albeit amateur), and familiar with the MX5, I’d love to see how close I could get to Scott’s time ;) or if I could beat it!
Pshh, everyone that's into EVs, knows one of the early stars of the market, the Kia Niro EV. Back then you could count all EVs on the market with two hands
Unreal experience for my first car track day! Gutted about that audi lap but a blessing in disguise as got to drive those other phenomenal cars. Definitely got the bug now. Thanks guys!
That commentary on the ride-along with Scott at the end was fantastic.
You could tell you were having an absolute blast. Nice job!
@@musewolfman was about to say the same thing 😂 my guy turned on the Chris Harris mode out of nowhere
The Audi is the best by far 😉 was lovely to meet you Daniel!
Are they going through drivers/delivery drivers to find someone to beat Scott? 😂 good job with the mustang another lap or 2 & youd have got him
Need to show more of the driving, like inside the cockpit behind the driver. It's soooo cool to see how fast Scott can make correction to the car.
Yeah, seeing him adjust for the oversteer out of the corners in that last lap was really cool
As a HGV driver, I would love to have a go at this....and then see if Scott can be as quick as me in a HGV around a track 👀
Same as mate!
thinking the same as a bus driver lol
i'd love to see how he'd cope with the front axle being behind you when you steer and then the air suspension levelling constantly
Tonight on OVERDRIVE...
Callum wears a cap.
Scott waits for an Uber.
And Daniel got an extra 5 star review.
Daniel's commentary on the last lap was awesome!
I would love to have a map of the track shown in the videos. It would make some parts of the video a bit more understandable.
I second this. A graphic in the lower/upper thirds showing track layout or something to that kin would be helpful for context.
Agreed. Hard to work out where should be faster for say the mx5 Vs where faster for the Mustang
Yes! With coloured dots to show where each car is on the lap relative to each other
Daniel's commentary on the last lap makes me want to have him as a regular track commentator along with Callum.
100,000% agree with you, he needs to become a professional racing commentator 😂
Daniel needs to be added to the team immediately. Such a cool dude, good charisma, fantastic commentary 🤣
Hire that dude.
He was very natural and funny on camera.
What an humble and nice guy. Invite him to make a road trip with you guys
As a van driver myself, you should try with a delivery man, we're faster than you think 😁
Also have zero mechanical sympathy, at least judging by the state of the vans xD. So won't be afraid to abuse the crap out of the gearbox lol.

I love these videos because you can literally see people start to understand why we love cars and racing so much🤣
I want to see the old kinda videos with roadtrips and more.
Unlikely because these videos are cheaper to make and produce decent views
Hopefully they'll do more, but these videos likely pay the bills
Their video framework becomes so boring... Would love to see some road trips to differentiate.
@@dobrytrollyeah they picked up on finding a format that works and just milking it
this is just becoming boring, scott vs x, every time w is x y get z?
this is just so plain.

I think it's about time for another 3 cheap car challenge episode!
What a nice fun bloke that Daniels seems .. learned real quick too. Love these challenges!! Loved his commentary on the Scots lap in the Arial
Interesting that even Scott is faster in the Boxster than the Ariel! I'd love to try this with you guys though.
confidence in the car id say
that is interesting. I didn't notice at first

The Porsche 718s are a severely underrated platform… they definitely don’t get enough credit.

Next time: every time my goldfish is slower I upgrade his car
Fancy trying it with a 48 year old sim racer, who's never had a driving lesson, and never even driven a real car?
I'd watch that
I second this
Make this happen
This one needs to happen
Scott should have done a lap in the uber driver’s electric Kia or whatever it is
Missed opportunity
he would've destroyed the brakes ahaha
I had a mate that tracked a completely stock i30, the brakes wore down to the shims by the end
That supercharger whine on that Atom sounds incredible
Where is my boi Ethan
I saw the Car Throttle vid
fantastic ride along commentary!
That atom sounds absolutely amazing
1:01 almost sounded like something other than shoot came out for a sec💀
Maybe you could do one with the nissan Z series starting from the 240Z to the new Z
This format is getting a bit old now don't you think? "every time X is slower insert faster car"
That Mazda mx5 is getting driven to death :D
That looked an absolute blast. Would love to have a go myself and amazing commentary on the last lap 😊
We need more Daniel he was amazing
Great video! Principally the last part where Daniel has done all the commentary on the lap with Scott on the Atom, what a great commenter you had there!
Quarter turn taps is where it's at.
i'd like to see him with his usual uber car
That Atom is just ... Something Else!!!
You should let them end on another lap in the Miata. To see how they do with the added confidence and track knowledge. Compared to their original time.
I'd love to see a "What profession has the fastest drivers" series
If this becomes a thing you could bump scott up a car (so to the audi in this vid) and have him chase the newbie up the leaderboard
I would rather watch another Subaru build, than watch all the same videos with same jokes and same... I don't know, flatness. It's always Scott trying to show off and everyone here else is just to show how amazing he (again) is
Very impressive the Porsche being faster than the Ariel Atom! Great video from all involved!
He needs to be the newest member on the team his commentary while in the Adam was amazing
i 100% can relate to callum at 0:32. ahaha some cars are merely appliances. Refrigerators on wheels.

hate to say it guys but its getting a little bit repetitive in the format now
and immediately, the tongue is out, showing that the man is extremely focused
Daniel's commentary with Scott's flying lap in the Atom was so good. Has he been on camera before?
I would watch the three of you commentating a race
Please bring back the road trips and the car build series. Other than only the track stuff these days.
I have never seen Scott look as stressed as he did during that mx5 run LOL
I love this channel but I feel like I am watching the same video over and over again...
Daniel is a natural infront of the camera
Give that man a job commentating on any race!
3 of them now, the novelty has worn off.
I want to see how fast your average mechanic is at driving 😂
I love the channel but man does it feel like they're running low on ideas
Daniel was really great, loved to see it
Scott was flying with that atom😅
It seems like they're getting a bit desperate for content. Bring back the KA and the three way challenges.
The commentary! Get him back!
Is this the new format? Upgrading the car until it's quick enough? I'm not complaining if it is, but if not then you might want to mix up the episodes a little
Need to hire this guy full time !
it's probably a difficult car to find in the UK, but I'd love to see all three of you guys take turns around the track in a Suzuki Alto K10
Good content guys! Keep on whith this stuff! Deserve more subs! ❤

I would love to have a go with Scott driving fast in a slow car. I live in another country but I'll wait for my message either way :D
Manual gearbox’s are tricky to many nowadays drivers😎
niro EV, you should have tracked it.. a bit of surprise there. In the US they have 200 hp and 300 FT/lb
When you guys coming state side? I've got a Honda Odyssey with your name on it!
need scott driving more
I want to see Ellie Sax drive.
love daniel so much ahaha great energy
KIIIEETH, watch the track KIEETH!
As someone who has only ever raced in the virtual world competitively it would be interesting to see how it translates into the real world
Would be a dream come true to come try this
babe wake up a new overdrive video dropped
Next time you guys come to the states get me in on one of these! Pleease!
Mannnnn I’d kill to have a day out with you guys. The vibes are amazing ❤
What a video, jealous of these guys getting a track to themselves
Nice video, Daniel is a cool guy! :)
I really hope you guys get a Professional Driver to do that and scare the living hell out of Scott :) Gonna be difficult to find one, which Scott won't know though
why is the stearing wheel on the right in the stang?

Should do. Can a subscriber beat Scott in the mx5 in their own car. I'd happily test the water😂
I think next time you should have Scott drive the Niro and see how that goes!
Top Job Chaps 🤘
This should be a compulsory part of one’s driving test .
Roads would be a lot safer.

You could bring another racer to compete against Scott. One idea is Dani Clos, who also has a RUclips channel.
i reckon if it wasn't for scott telling daniel to ease off on the throttle in the mustang he wouldv'e had Scott
Where's the 53sec Scott lap? On these videos you're always leaving out the best laps(Scott taking cars to their limits.)
that's the most trans mustang I could imagine, wow.
2:05 HELP THIS MAN SET UP HIS SEATING POSITION!
Doing uber with an electric car is a big brain move
Get me on the track, let me try beat my older brothers times haha
I wish I’m that Daniel, having a go. 😊
Who is Elli? Why does she have so many amazing cars! and can we see her drive
If it was running red lights on your phone competition...
I still cant believe you guys had to change your name
