- If you've ever wondered what makes National Parks, Monuments, Memorials, Recreation Areas, Historic Sites, Battlefields, Preserves, etc... different, here is an explanation of what the designations mean and how they are managed.
My site was finally designated an NHL in late 2023! We're thrilled and honored. Thanks for this wonderful video. We'll share it to help our community fully understand the importance and breadth of the NPS!
What is the site?
Barnum Institute of Science and History. 1893. It’s in Fairfield County, CT about an hour out of NYC.
