$70 Rolex Homage VS $7000 Rolex Explorer

In today's video I compare a $7000 Rolex Explorer (124270) to a $70 Rolex Homage (Cadisen c8213). I wanted to see if you can truly experience an iconic watch by buying an homage or whether it would fall short of the real thing. It seems public opinion is split on homage watches. Some view them as rip offs and fakes, whereas some see them as an affordable way to experience a luxury piece. There are countless alternatives to iconic brands such as Rolex, Omega, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet on websites like AliExpress and Amazon.
The real question is, what do you think about homage watches? And how do you think they typically stack up to their luxury counterparts?

Haha I guess you’re right about it being an obvious takeaway. My goal was to more-so talk about if that 70 dollar watch can fill the void of a Rolex. And to that, I would say not at all. I’d skip the homage altogether and get something else. You may not be an homage guy but it seems many people are.
