Amazing work on this map! Absolutely can't wait to play it! I've truly been looking for a large immersive map to play on for some time that's above a 4x. Unfortunately most tend to lose detail as you get bigger. Looking forward to it! Can't wait to see more footage!

This actually gave me goosebumps watching it. For so long Ive wanted to see a US map on this scale that has the character and detail that this has. No disrespect to all the others but this really has lifted the bar. I could (and most likely will) throw a thousand hrs into this map. The potential already is just incredible. Simply Superb

For people that have never been here, this IS what rural Illinois looks like. Other map makers have taken elements and given you their conceptual vision of what the area is like. This is by far the most true to life representation. I got the same sense of scope and awe watching the video that I get in real life when cresting the minor elevation change and then having your eyes set upon a vast landscape of nothing but massive fields. As much as things are pretty square in Illinois, because of the grid system, there's also a fair amount of deviation from it so its great to see that divergence represented. With the exception of being able to grow things we dont grow here, this map looks like it's going to play as true to life. Looks like 100's of hours of fun!!
Another top notch FSG map tour! Lets hope FS22 has an increased player count for MP, how cool would this map be with 32 players on it at the same time!
I just saw a 1958-1962 Corvette convertible in the traffic. I'm sold! What a great-looking map! With the exception of the grain bags and a few very minor details, this could easily be anywhere in Central-Western Kentucky!

This map is just too amazing. The road are enough large for small to big machinery without having collison with the other car or road sing. I like when the fields are not perfect rectangle and when you don't need to make them bigger yourself. The size of the map is just pecfect, love big map. Really good job on that. 👌
I get the feeling 4x maps will be the benchmark for FS22 and larger maps like this one will be the new 4x anticipation. I don’t play much MP but I love to be immersed in a big map. Nice video and excellent job to the creator! 👍👍
As somebody that has lived in Illinois their whole life, I have never met anyone that is proud enough of Illinois to paint the state flag on a barn lol. Looks like an awesome map, can’t wait for it 👍
Big fields for sure ! A lot small farms You could make a big farm out of one of those fields. The possibilities are endless. Big farms, medium and small sized farms. The thing that it impressed me was the engine noise of the AI traffic a lot of time it doesn't sound as real as this maps traffic is. Good job on the map! I look forward to trying it out. FSG. OMG.......This Map is amazing. Your review is better than ANY Giants videos. I thought I was looking at a New FS22 Map reveal, but better than Giants reveal trailers. I will say it now this is the best map of FS19. 2x, 4x or 16x Period! This better be your next map to see out FS19. Late to the party but i actually live and farm only about an hour north of where this map is based on and that round barn at the start....made my day as those are exclusive to this area of the midwest. 🙂
The map is beautiful, I only wish there were some Mail pouch barns. Had a lot of those where I grew up, most are still there 30+ yrs later. Still one of the best maps I have seen to date.
I’m from northern Illinois been south many times and this map nails the area exactly it is the most realistic of any maps that I have been to in game of areas that I personally have been to in real life
Nice looking map. Could be a great map if more detail was put in to the city as well. Banks, stores, etc… Also need some larger farms, with this much land area you would need some large farms to handle the amount of equipment needed. Would also need much larger bin sites. Add these things and this has the potential to be one of the best games in FS. I would also suggest with how late it will be coming out, doing everything you can do to get it FS22 ready.
Beautiful map i only see a few issue's 1. the farm yard are bit small , with big fields like that you going to need big bins to keep all that crop , need more sell points for better prices , also maybe some anhydrous ammonia build into the map , some calves need a bit more to do other than just field work but all that said it looks awesome and cant wait for it cheers
So good to see realistic ditches beside the roads. Yes, those are ditches, not footpaths or creeks. Amazing diner. There sure are a lot of C1 Corvettes in this town. 😃

I know I'm late to the party here but I play the older version of farm sim after all the mods have finished and just have a two week feast of researching all the good mods and maps. This one still remains one of the best. I would say though for a video review of a map it should include the specs of the map like does it have precision farming soil map, does it have extra crops, increased height types, etc Not complaining, well made video that surely took a lot of work it would just be nice to have those from the start. That was what I was wondering about.
I agree and I tend to include that information if I can, this was at a very early stage in development when I reviewed it so a lot of the functionality hadn't been added yet
the map looks great! my only criticism (the same with almost all US style maps) is with the road markings and signage. this map is better than most, but the town intersection with the stop line on the wrong side of the road was very out of place, and all of the stop signs are set back much farther than normal in the US. when a stop line on the road is absent, the sign itself is the stop point, so they are usually much closer to the intersection. otherwise everything looks really natural and i can't wait to play it!
@@TheFarmSimGuy Also, road lines should always be yellow if they are dividing opposing lanes of traffic. And, as a last point, will he make the sheds sellable? Awesome video!
Is there any good spots to build your own farm on this map, I've been playing Yukon valley but I found the lack of real roads and traffic made it feel like you are alone in such a vast map. this seems like it could be a good alternative.
The landscape is amazing, it's beautiful, I'm going to love this map when it's ready, but I have an honest question: how do you handle something that huge in single player? I mean, 7 hours to harvest a field? I guess Courseplay is going to be a thing on this one...
Hey Anton, Yeah defo some Autordrive and Courseplay to help, I'd definitely approach this as a Farm Manager style play through, perhaps running 3 or 4 combines with auger wagons to keep things moving but yeah definitely one to set some time aside for.
Don't get me wrong this map is beautiful. But it will be released a few months before FS22, making it s overshadowed in just a few months, Which is sad because it is so gorgeous.
Hi FSG. Can you confirm the map size please. I know it's advertised as a 16x but the mini map is showing a 4000 x 4000m map ie 4km x 4km. When you are near the edges the distances to the edge sort of match up with the mini map. Looks a brilliant map mind, Illinois here we come 👍.
@@TheFarmSimGuy I know Julian claims it is a 16x, but it is only a 4x. Grunt is correct about the coordinates being on 4km. Also, compare this to Yukon River Valley which you did a map review of, that was a 16x and much bigger than this one.
I would like to have you to mention to the author that the flag we see at 23:35 is backwards. the blue star field is always displayed on the top left, either vertical or horizontal. Other than that, it looks like a fantastic map. I'll try it even though its bigger than i prefer. thanks.
You don;t need something too powerful if it's all you are going to play, but as always, my suggestion would be get the best one you can afford just now and upgrade parts in the future. Definitely check out the miniumum requirements specs on the giants website though
It's too bad Julian never finished this. Obviously bit off way more than he could chew. I'm trying to fix it up for my own play. I won a copy of 22 from a Twitch streamer but I never left 19.
This is great. But I want a 16x map of the area around me. But that would inquire incredible time and detail, far more than this. (Not being a dick) I might try and make one for fs22

He gave up on it as FS22 came out so the dev release version is the only one there is

It’s huge definitely a x16 times not sure why the mini map is showing as 4km but it is still in development so maybe a visual bug.

Gravel roads in my neck of the woods are red dirty roads so those textures are much more realistic in my opinion

A standard map is 2km x 2km (so think of one of the base game maps like Felsbrun or Ravenport) this map is 16 times bigger

It's too bad Julian never finished this. Obviously bit off way more than he could chew. I'm trying to fix it up for my own play. I won a copy of 22 from a Twitch streamer but I never left 19.

This is great. But I want a 16x map of the area around me. But that would inquire incredible time and detail, far more than this. (Not being a dick) I might try and make one for fs22
