I wish I could share my edit of it, but I don't have the permissions to do so. I've added more cars and life to the city area, made the canyons and washouts and other low lying areas in the maps and fields flood during rains, made it maizeplus compatible and added propane, calf husbandry, anhydrous, and a few other crops.
I grew up in the Texas Panhandle about an hour north of Plainview. This map isn't a replica of the area, but it does a perfect job of modeling the environment to make a fun map to work in FS19. If only irrigation was an actual thing in FS19 it would really make the center pivot sprinklers something worth using. The center-pivot fields also make me wish Guidance steering worked with curves.
If anybody wants a IRL version the only crops we grow in plainview is cotton, wheat, corn and some but very few are pickles. Soybeans have a very hard time growing here and milo as well almost forgot that

I've Been playing on this map for a couple weeks. I like it. When I first started playing it the pivots were stationary. I cant get course play to map all the fields yet.
I worked for one of the larger manufacturers of the irrigation systems shown on this map and I don't believe there is a correct name for them. I have heard them called center pivots, pivots, irrigators, irrigation systems or sprinklers this depends upon where you are at. By the way FSG as I'm sure you are aware you won't find any in the UK. The closest ones I can think of are in the Po River delta region of northern Italy.
The feed points at the cattle farm aren’t working on mine the two cattle pastors don’t let me feed my cows. If there is a different version where this is fixed please tell me which one it is and I want to try it.
Did you try Autodrive? I could not get the vehicles past the erregation Systems. Always stopping on the middle of the Road. My guess is some Kind of collision causing this...
Great potential. But needs to nerf the train length. Just abit long when you have to wait... Also needs to remove tab to the Center Pivot watering systems.
Great tour as always. I would suggest that, just as you place the link of the map, maybe put a link to the vehicles you use. I love them and keep hoping you would place a link to where you found it, with a disclaimer of course.
Thanks man! Good suggestion! Here's a link to the truck fs19.net/farming-simulator-2019-mods/cars/2011-ford-f350-crewcab-edit-v1-0/ (I think it's this one, I've had it for a while)
I downloaded this map right after your review. Love it but having issues with weight in vehicles. A full water trailer is almost impossible to pull. Same with my potato harvester, can't use over 60% full or it starts to miss crop and bounces.
I downloaded the map, and I have to ask...how do the hired help work on the circular fields??? Is it an issue where I have to cut the field into a square first?
Im not sure to be honest I only tested it with Courseplay, but they should work, they work determined by the field edges so should jsut run horizontally or vertically across the field. let me know if it works.
Can you suggest a few maps that have good contract work? Something similar to the default maps. My GF and I play together and many of the model maps we have looked at had very few or no contracts available.
Location is not a concern, she gets really annoyed with steep hills though! I like taking multiple smaller fields and extending them out, joining them together, clearing out trees and flattening uneven areas to make a much nicer field for less cost than buying a ready made large field. I can find something to entertain myself on most any map, we are mainly looking for maps that have good contracts for her.
A couple of issues: Has anyone had trouble getting Courseplay to work on some/most of the fields? I ran into that on several of the round fields, tried many of the CP options, a lot of difficulty getting any course to generate. Found a problem with a section of road on the SE part of the map near field 6 and 8 where vehicles using Autodrive simply stop on the road (all the waypoints are correct), weirdly corrected by moving the transit of vehicles off of the road. This action was strangely near one of the irrigation systems to the east of the sugar plant. Finally, in field 45, when using seeder/cultivator (as a contract), with seeder fully loaded when attempting to run, there was never any change to the soil and no progress on the contract as attempted. Yes, the seeder was lowered and turned on. Attempted this multiply, trying reloading game, etc. Behavior again near the irrigation apparatus in that field. I wonder is there is some sort of glitch? Anyone who has seen this on this map or other, appreciate suggestions. Mostly I have loved this map.
The autodrive stopping is to do with the collision boxes for the irrigation booms it's a frustrating one, I removed a good few of them to solve the issue.
I had just started with this map today and you make a video on it. How cool is that ! Just the circle fields through me for a loop. Not certain about that. I still gave it a try tho.

Love the map, love the panhandle area of Texas. Would like to see someone make a map of the Mertens/Frost Texas area. Big farming on the Blackland Prairie. We operate a cattle and hay ranch on the Blackland Prairie.
If you go in that one building at the livestock dealership there's like a place to auction off cattle
Definitely would do multiplayer on this in a heartbeat
I was about to say "Finally a map with farms where cows can have a good life" and then you showed that dairy abomination ;/ Really with that much real estate would it kill them to give the poor things some fields to graze ...
Yeah it's a bit of a factory farm right!
At 6:22 as a man born and raised texan and proud I wish to make you an honorary texan @The FarmSim Guy
👍 I'm honored to recieve this award!
From someone who use to farm in west texas we called the irrigation pivots
15:39 those are cicadas, not crickets, and with how loud they are being id assume its hot as hell. funny enough i dont usually hear cicadas around lubbock
Dude we NEED a playthrough on this map!
Glad you like it, maybe in the not to distant future 👍
I lived in Plainview for quite some time didn't even know this map existed
I've Been playing on this map for a couple weeks. I like it. When I first started playing it the pivots were stationary. I cant get course play to map all the fields yet.
I can't either, and I'm afraid it may be a deal breaker
Awesome map. I have been waiting for a map of the area where I live. I am in the county west of Hale County.
Interesting stuff, thanks, yes I can safely say I’ve never seen anything like this in the UK
The feed points at the cattle farm aren’t working on mine the two cattle pastors don’t let me feed my cows.
If there is a different version where this is fixed please tell me which one it is and I want to try it.
Yes there is an updated version now check out the recent West Texas series I’m doing which has the updated link
@@TheFarmSimGuy ok thanks I’ll go download it
Did you try Autodrive? I could not get the vehicles past the erregation Systems. Always stopping on the middle of the Road. My guess is some Kind of collision causing this...
No I've not tried autodrive yet
Great potential. But needs to nerf the train length. Just abit long when you have to wait...
Also needs to remove tab to the Center Pivot watering systems.
Beautiful! I started playing this a couple days ago 👏🏻
Awesome map. However I wish the PDA map was a little better and showed the roads and stuff. Blurry PDA maps are sort of a deal breaker
The small ranch/farm over by the Horse Ranch, where does the wool go from the sheep?
Nice map review again and an interesting map. Great job.
Thanks, it’s a really interesting map!! Not sure I’d want to attack it as a solo game 😂
@@TheFarmSimGuy Yep. I've played on a few 16x maps but end up playing a 2x part of it!!! Nice and different style of map though!
I’m not sure what mods you are using but that sounds more related to the vehicles themselves rather than the map
@@TheFarmSimGuy it is happening with base game trailers and harvesters
I like your editing and how you use different intro music for each map. Btw. Your going to have a lot of maps to play
Yeah way to many! 😂 Thanks for the kind words mate
of course there is a wall mart, every small town needs one, they even have them in the middle of the ocean
and a dollar general
I was wondering at the ethonal plant do you use the distiller grain for feeding cattle like some maps on fs17
for that 2nd cattle field i can’t find the spot to put them in i’ve walked/drove around that whole pasture
It’s hard to find but it’s in there, turn on developer mode and use F5 that’s the easiest way to spot it
There's no points to buy bulk seed, liquid fertilizer,or herbicide is there? All I can find is Lime
@@TheFarmSimGuy course play doesn't work for me on circular fields
@@am9505 I demo it at 33:52 in the video, as long as you own the land it should be fine
Can you suggest a few maps that have good contract work? Something similar to the default maps. My GF and I play together and many of the model maps we have looked at had very few or no contracts available.
Sure, What sort of maps do you like playing? US or European?
Location is not a concern, she gets really annoyed with steep hills though! I like taking multiple smaller fields and extending them out, joining them together, clearing out trees and flattening uneven areas to make a much nicer field for less cost than buying a ready made large field.
I can find something to entertain myself on most any map, we are mainly looking for maps that have good contracts for her.
@@alanprihoda7772 Maybe have a look at Deere Country by DJ Modding or some of the maps from MRG? Farmersburg could be fun
Thanks, we well give those a look!
@@alanprihoda7772 another is Greenlands by Peter716 in the mod hub, over 100 contracts on that one, and it's a lovely map
@3:02 he says relatively dry are. Its quite literally a desert here in odessa.
😂
How do you get the meat? I'm guessing there is a butcher shop somewhere?
Check my other video that shows how to use the abattoir
@@TheFarmSimGuy Thanks!
@@TheFarmSimGuy I see. Thanks! The CP seems to work most of the time, mostly likely my inexperience...
I had just started with this map today and you make a video on it. How cool is that ! Just the circle fields through me for a loop. Not certain about that. I still gave it a try tho.
Haha, spooky!
I would love to see a texas map on console, obviously it couldn't be anywhere near as detailed as on pc with a 4x map but a 2x map for console I think would be great, especially with seasons and precision farms
It would be great to see wouldn't it
@@TheFarmSimGuy yeah, I'm planning on moving to texas at some point in the future so when I get my channel re started I'm having to run stone valley with a texas geo and precision farming
Also cargill slaughterhouse is no longer in plainview it was shutdown about 10 years ago
Have you tried to use the lanscaping textures? When I try to build a gravel road I have grass in the texture. Matter of fact it’s all the textures I use to build my farm
I hadn’t checked that out but I’ll take a look
@@TheFarmSimGuy 10.4 thanks. I’m curious if it’s just me and I have a mod conflict
all you do is smooth out the ground to remove the grass texture
@@FillyGman I get that but thats not normal. There’s an issue
@@Razorbackfever Yes Sir there is. There is a line of code that can be removed from the map that will prevent that from happening, but it impacts how the grass he has in it will grow back I believe.
Now that’s a map love it!
Does this not work on multiplayer? Been trying to get this map to work on my gportal server but I just sit at the loading menu waiting for game host acceptance. Wish I could play on my dedicated server 😕
Absolutely it does, I'm currently running a multiplayer on it 👍
Ty ty ty man ive been looking for a map like this absolutely love this map =)
No worries man, enjoy playing it 👍
One thing you will never see on a West Texas map: logging
Nope! You'll be lucky to find trees beyond scrub brush or trees for landscaping
@@FusionSimulations Are mesquite trees thick out that direction? They will grow just about everywhere. lol
@@scorpionsedge They are EVERY WHERE in South Texas. Not sure how heavy they are in West Texas - but they're there!
@@FusionSimulations They are mean trees, but great for smoking a brisket!
@@scorpionsedge Yes sir! We have to use diesel and a strong weed killer to keep them off our fence lines - kinda
is this a PC only map ?
Don't remember seeing it on console, I'd love to play it though.
Yeah it’s a big 4x map so PC only I’m afraid
@@TheFarmSimGuy Well that sounds about right.
I would love to have that map on consoles thanks for doing this video I’m from south tx
"Cow. . . spaces."
Cow pastures, mate. Those are big ole Texas cow pastures.
😂 I lost my words, technically I’m right though, it’s a space and you put cows in it 😉😂
Elle a l'air vraiment Belle mais elle n'est pas sur console aussi je pense ?
Non malheureusement pas pour console ☹
Hey guys, we have the map as a dedicated server map and we are loving it, i do have a question though and hoping that someone has an answer for me. On the map between fields 29 and 31 there is a huge cow pasture as well as a pig den, i own the field but cannot seem to fill the water on either the pasture or the den, im using vanilla equipment to fill but no luck, does anyone have a solution for me or am i doing something wrong, thanx in advance.
pretty spot on for plainview,tx..like it
Great to hear, I've never been but from what I know about the area it feels pretty good, but nice to have it confirmed by you local guys
I’m from western Oklahoma but was thinking the same thing.
This is beautiful. And you did such a great job walking us through it. What difficulty did you have it on here? How do you find it plays with the prices so low? That is a lot lower than base game for sure
Thanks for the comment, I've not had a lot of time to play on it yet to test it out, I like the lower prices from the perspective that it's more true to real life, but it's going to make for interesting playing to see how it works properly.
@@TheFarmSimGuy Yeh for sure. I actually commented on your post in FarmSimPC on YT saying the same thing. I always play on hard now myself. But it's daunting seeing the prices of land vs the prices of crops here. Meat looks to be really valuable though so maybe the creator is trying to push people in that direction
love the map i live 30 mins west of here. cant find any link to download it in description though
Glad you like it, The link is definitely there I just checked 👍
That Walmart building is from ATS, guess how I know.
The entrance and the way the road hooks back.
Map looks great!
Hi FarmSim Guy, GREAT map, But I am having some troubles. After saving my game and closing farming simulator 19 on my Pc, then after a while I start it back up I get an error - " Error: Running LUA method 'update' " Do you have any idea what this means?
This sounds like an issue with mods, Try starting the map with no other mods installed and if it works you know it's a mod issue
@@TheFarmSimGuy Thank you very much! Appreciate your help.
@@TheFarmSimGuy one more thing, can I use courseplay in this map?
@@dandreviljoen1578 Sure man, not all the fields have been scanned so you'll have to set them up yourself, but I'm doing a video on that at the moment so keep an eye on the channel
great drive through wondering how to get the new updated version. the link is for a older version
Nope that's the most up to date version, anything higher than that isn't from the original modder and should be avoided
I didn't see the meat works, is there one?. We can sell meat but where do we produce it?
I’m still working that out, will probably do a follow up vid
@@TheFarmSimGuy I noticed yards on the back of a building , think it was the Cagills place, maybe there??
Thanks for the great videos! I was looking for a great Texas map and am really enjoying this one. Question, the price screen shows you start with a corn silo. Do you know where that silo is? I haven't found it yet.
Thanks Keith, I don't off the top of my head, have you started in New Farmer mode?
@@TheFarmSimGuy Correct, and its orange under corn saying you have a corn silo. I just can't for the life of me find it. Lol
I presume its got the meat factory installed on map? You just deliver your cows or pigs and over a period of time it produces pallets of meat pork etc and load them up to sell point.
Seem some circular fields on TNT map Red Dirt county.
Cool tour FSG
Thanks man, I need to do a bit more looking at the meat thing, I assume there's a processing place, I possibly missed it on the tour, I'll report back
Red Dirt County is a fun map to be sure!
Im playing on this map and i bought the dairy farm and i put some cows at the dairy and i fed tmr to the cows but tmr shows 0 percent after i fed tmr to the cows. I was wondering if you know what to do or how to feed the cows at the dairy
This video introduced me to you sir so long ago. I am thinking of bringing this to 22 with Bigs permission ofcourse. Anyone know how to get ahold of him currently by chance? Thanks again and i still go back to 19 to play this map!
I’m afraid I don’t, I tried to get ahold of him in FS19 but wasn’t able too
Why Plainview. Should of made a map of Hereford tx. Beef capital of the world. It's lives on farming or at least the Bar-G feedyard. Biggest cattle feeding company in the world but yeah it's an ok map keep up the awesome videos. I couldn't do better if I wanted to.
Thanks man, usually mappers tend to make maps that are in some way related to them, where they live or grew up, but maybe someone will do one in the future
