edmond finucane be size console doesn’t get pc mods. On any game. On any generation. It’s never happened. You can’t edit files on console
Thank you for making a tutorial like this. I took coding classes in school so this is a little easier for me then it used to be but this tutorial still helped a lot!
You can also turn down the power consumption on headers just in case you want to put it on a small harvester. I use to do this when I was 10 years old with the old American John Deere game. Really cool and simple just take your time and everything will go the way you planned it to

@djgoham gaming there i tried this and followed it to the t it shows up in mod hub but when i go to go in the game it doesnt show i have restated the game and pc and it doesnt change any thing

Ok, don't quote me on this as I'm not completely sure, but I believe this issue can be solved (in mods that include both the combine and the header) by changer the spot that says "" from what the combine was originally called to whatever you renamed it to (LETTER FOR EXACT LETTER!!!).

now that was informative and for me I appreciate you explaining each thing to look for , now I no what i did wrong on a trailer i forgot to change the mass no wounder I about blew a u joint on my truck LOL . can you might do a vid on how to change the over all speed of a truck or semi??
Pretty sure to change the overall speed you have to go into the xml file like he did the combine on the truck u wanna edit and the top speed should be right at the top.
could you make a video on how to edit XML for a map update, where you want to keep all your equipment etc, this would help many

Thank yoooooooou! This information is so useful and definitely one of your best videos ever. I am having a bit of trouble though with a seeder. I want to raise the capacity of seeds and fertilizer. As soon as I type in the updateMass="false" The unit disappears in game. If I don't put that in, it works fine but the extra weight tips the tractor up on its back wheels. Any ideas?
Since you know everything about xml files i figured you are the best person to ask. Is there any way to edit the number of hours on a vehicle on a farm. I know that it is useless but if i buy a tractor from 90's then i want to edit it so that it has at least 100 hours. Also can you show us how to do basic changes on maps and equipment in the Giants editor

You should get winrar and set notepad ++ has default for xml. Then you can just edit the zip files without unzipping them. Will save you a lot of time
Would you know how to slow down the steering of a truck more than the 50% in game offer's via an xml file?
Tried this on a Zisini Tetra. Started filling up with wheat, got 50k in and it started compressing the suspension. Put 150k in and it would hardly move. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Subscribed
physics. download a mod that called "fill type mass adjustment" should help

i tryed this with the john deere s790 but all it did was make another one in the store that cant be upgraded at all so i cant get the stuff i want on it the header that it comes with dosent work right cuz i can tupgrade it for that header that it came with
Update. Was using the MultiCheat by WarezLine Mod. Without using the mod everything worked like DJ showed.

I am new to pc . Don't know what I am doing wrong after I make the changes and compress back to zip it shows my change mods and it install but not in the game. If I don't compress them back I have the mods with the update I made. But it says my mods needs updates all the time

Hello. Thanks for the video but I cannot make it work. I`m on Steam. Once I change one letter on the file it does not appear to be selected with the others mods. The original file works fine. Does it work on Steam?

I noticed that although the combine in xml says 40, and the headers were changed to 40..... the dial seems to still only got 26? Ohh it is KPH to MPH? wait I looks in mod hub, where is there a MOD to change from metric to us old American units?

hi djgoham i love this viedo i done everything u said nd when i load the game it is in the mods but when i go to play the game play it is nowhere to be found and cant fine it in the mods list befor the game starts bts its in the mods opions at the start off the game didnt know u if had any ideas
I know this is really late, but if you compress the folder itself, it creates a subfolder which has the files.The game doesn't notice it because it is looking for files there, not another folder. You can get around that by selecting all the files in the folder (before compressing it) and compressing the folder. From there, you can name the folder and go on. Of course it will keep the original name of the mod, so don't look for the one you named the folder. This happened to me and I was getting frustrated til I saw that there was an extra folder everything was put into. Works just fine now. Hope that helps.

What if I do all this and go to edit the file and there is no XML file?
Seems the speed cap for headers is 12km/hr - I set it to 20km/hr and it defaults to 12kph.

I'm having issues with increasing the speed on the ram 3500 mod. It only goes 51mph no matter what speed I change it to. The description says 74mph but it only goes 51. Anyone having the same issue?
