For those of you with my OCD levels, the worker wages on test 1 are as follows:
    *solid - $38
    *liquid - $56
    *manure - $39
    *slurry - $94
That will vary by equipment used but to keep apples to apples and all.

Slurry spreaders are also very versatile 2 fertilizer options and depending on the model you can attach a spreader or a slurry disc harrow doing 2 steps in 1 pass the only downsides are they're expensive and consume a lot of slurry especially with the larger ones

Dj you have to take into account with your math that you own cows or pigs , cows being the most cost effect slurry and manure is a by-product , that being said feed can broke down to grass and straw , now straw is a by-product from a harvest so to off set the cost of slurry/manure will be the sell of milk and crops

The best way to do it is to fertilize you're field with a spayer or spreader
and then going over it with the manure spreader or the slurry tank without waiting for the crops to grow
so you have inmediatly 100% fertilized

I have always wondered this too, fertilizing versus cultivating in a round of oilseed. But considering you'd have helper and seed and fuel and maintenance costs for that round of oilseed, while perhaps more realistic I can't imagine in the game it could even come close to being "less expensive" that just slapping down a round of solid fert.

  • @babuujack

It depends if you want play more realistically or not. IRL in the UK I'm not sure farmers are able to sell slurry at least. Just a byproduct they have to shift. Also, IRL organic products (fert with manure/ slurry) fetch a premium. It would be cool if this was taken into account with new FS releases.

I'll just comment that I know Minibrunn has a manure buy point (you can purchase manure) on it. It goes for around $34-$45 per 1000l. I know this because I was buying manure from there early on with the Ferguson 3-ton tipper (3000l) for my greenhouses. Each purchase wasn't more than $130 each full tipper. Is it worth it? For doubling some of the greenhouse mods, yeah. But for fertilizing? No.

From what I'm getting in this video is that the price of manure and slurry is too high when selling. If one were to adjust them down, it'd be more profitable to use it on your fields than sell it. I'm not a farmer but I thought that using manure or slurry after plowing or cultivating was better for the soil and use liquid or solid fert for later growth stages. Please correct me if I'm wrong!
