This is very reminiscent of the Fallout new vegas NCR ranger outposts that stood lookout against Caesars legion another slaving faction, I love this build.

I would kill for a mod that just patches all of these builds in as locations, becoming the God Emperor of the commonwealth ala General Dave and populating all these builds with your troops would just be amazing.
I suspect the next time we'll see Nuka-World you will build a refugee camp for escaped/freed slaves perhaps?

Seeky, indeed, but far from easy, due to constant radiation and some of the most dangerous creatures live in that area, add to that the duper toxic water and unstable terrain.

Guardian 3468, not too far fetched of an idea, and would definetly help because of immunity to radiation, but there's still the wildlife those special troops would have to worry about.

Never thought I would see a Sinclair sign in Fallout. I still remember the little Sinclair station we had in my hometown when I was a kid. The green dinosaur is really memorable.
I love this idea, how the Minutemen are expanding their "Empire" into the surrounding areas, and truly are "Rebuilding America".
Dave, what are your thoughts on the C.A.M.P. system Fallout 76 will use? It allows you to build almost anywhere, but the settlements are smaller than the big ones in Fallout 4. From listening to interviews and reading articles it sounds like the max size of the settlement will be about the size of Outpost Zimonija or Tenpines Bluff. I still have faith that you'll find a way to make them feel huge anyway!
Making your CAMPsites (Love the term I used?) while others are small would be stupid, the thought makes it justifiable why Bethesda made it so there are no mods

Okay, that makes sense
The most you can build in 76 is like a shack, a fence, and some turrets, way smaller than FO4. Mostly because it has to run on servers with other people and can't be ruining performance for everyone. Also the private servers aren't gonna be free, most games charge for private servers and Bethesda is no different. Expect to pay $20 a month for that privilege.
funtourhawk what games are you playing where you have to pay actual money for an Invite-Only server? This exists in GTA V and tons of other stuff and it's free. Also it would be the single worst idea since the Creation Club since everyone would accuse them of using this to force paid mods and it would be even more controversial than it already is

I think that radroach is Steve from the Alchestbreach fallout universe that is paying you Dave tons of loot and caps to get him into the Commonwealth to find Al.
I like how you’re organizing the minutemen just make sure you prevent a Civil War.
Since downloading militarized minutemen I've been putting squad nicknames on all of the barracks at my settlements, Oberland Station has the Saucer Swatters, Hangman's alley has the Urban Beautification Initiative, Starlight Drive-in has Movie Magic, etc. The radroach mascot made me think of a unit called Desert Roaches or something, it would be cool to see Dave have particular named and specialized units of minutemen
Honestly this settlement should be made into a mod all its own. The mods you used would obviously be required dependancies but still.

If you’re near Rexburg when you are in Yellowstone you should visit legacy flight museum I think is something ranger Dave would really enjoy.

Your version of the minutemen and the wasteland is the exact same style i like.
Dave I know this was long ago but, I am actually from Culpeper and based on the preserved camps here you close to nailed it in regards to structures and sandbag defenses

Glad I'm not the only one wanting the minutemen here I on the other hand have a mod that makes nuka world rebuild able. The main park would make a hell of a base of operations with the parks included.

I like how u used the cow to drag the artillery all the way there but I can’t help to think why u wouldn’t use two people in suits of power armor. It would be faster and not as much of a strain.
This camp looks like it came straight from World War I. I'd love to see how this camp evolves in the future.
I like the idea of this settlement that log cabin feels like the start of a old western town or something
Fucking amazing build. I dont care its not your biggest or "epic" or whatever, its definetely my favourite.
Its simply amazing how well all those props and items work with each other - those sandbags, wire fence, barricades, campfires, solar panels etc, its like they been fucking made by the same person for the sole purpose of fitting the desert theme. I freaking LOVE that plywood lying on that crack in the ground, such a nice detail.
Oh and double props for using actual in game building menu and not CK.
A similar idea to this that you could do (unless you already have, I don’t know) repurpose gunner outposts on highways like the one at nukes world, but also Quincy and take over gunner places in general like the Gunners plaza as it has its radio and communication advantages. Just a suggestion.

That ghoul startled me as well. I was glad I wasn't alone, Dave.
Check out the boiling river, marks in and out in Livingston, and Chico hot springs. They're all pretty awesome places an hour or so past Gardnier Montana. Everyone I met there was very nice and Paradise valley was one of the most beautiful places I've seen.

I’ve never really liked the look of those wall mounted gun displays. I used to make my own gun racks using shelf’s and standing rifles up along them. A little time consuming but if done right it looks really good.

Awesome settlement by the way, looks really good. The only issue I have is how close the tent area is to the edge of the camp. Feels like someone sneaky and crazy enough could get close enough to throw a grenade there and kill people in the middle of the night.

would love to see what nukaworld it self would look like having been liberated by the minutemen. i imagine nukaworld becoming a huge trade hub for the empire. And act as a homebase for further expansion.

Also, in maybe the Glowing Sea, build a huge military fort that could have Strong and it would help contain Deathclaws and Radscorpions along with hunting the Children of Atom.
lone woodsmen, big problem, though, nobody wants to build there due to the high radiation levels and dangerous monsters, no one wants to build there.
Key word wants to, who says Dave cares if they want to. But in reality armed with proper anti rad gear they could find a sunken building and make the inside clear of rads and with a airlock to clean people off. Or use a old hidden military base to do that same maybe in the sentinel site.
The glowing sea could be a minutemen facility that develops high tech weapons for the minutemen
Sebastian Simonsson, depends on where in the glowing sea, that part of the Commonwealth is big, the terrain there is super unfit for building structures, it's the birthplace of rad storms so constant radiation, some of the most dangerous creatures in the wasteland live there, and a lot of other obstacles block trying to build a research facility there, considering again, the terrain and ground composition being mostly dried mud and super radioactive water, to the point where several places from before the war have sunk into the mud. I'm not saying it's impossible to build a research station there, just that it far from safe and far from beneficial. The benefits are outweighed by the consequences when trying to build a research station in the glowing sea.

since its been 5 years they probably either took down camp and started work on new settlements or upgraded defenses and walls for the long haul.
This is awesome, your rangers deserve their own settlement for being the backbone of the minutemen

Hunter lennel, well, doing that is easy, but the hard part is trying to regain the trust of diamond city again. Ranger base? I couldn't think of any other place than Quincy, or rather what's left of it, the town is easily defendible thanks to the tall pre war overpass and lack of openings. Add to that the old town would be a great place to bring back Law Enforcement, aka, police forces because so far there aren't any, despite having working trucks, boats, a train, and such, Dave can't bring back police forces? Huh?
Dragonborn Express that would be epic, isnt that where the minutemen got betrayed at tho. It would make sense for the rangers to take it. plus there is a mine/vualt farelly close to quincy
Hunter lennel, yes, it's where the minutemen basically took the biggest shit ever and rolled over, but taking the town back would definetly show that the minutemen don't want another quincy massacre and are actually good this time around. It would also help secure control of nearby areas like the mine/vault for instance. Speaking of which, we need an updated vault 88 settlement, the last one got completely destroyed, so what happened to the place since then? We need that big question answered, especially since it been a few years since vault 88 was destroyed, at least in Dave's lore.

You should make a mod that makes a Ranger Handbook. It's like, the bible for us infantry guys. It talks about weapons, survival, small unit tactics, waterborne ops, demolition, etc

So you re-did Sanctuary, are you also going to re-do your other classic builds like Red-Rocket, Croup Manor, & Coastal Cottage? Or are you going to leave them as reminders of how your building style evolved from "Don't change the base settlement and make it look like it could be in the base game" to "large, complex, lore-filled, & realistic".

Ok, so I've had that idea of after doing the ending where you destroy the prydwen, make a scrapping settlement(s) around it like at Boston airport, but idk if it will let me because I can't find the mod to let me do settlements anywhere, I just think it would be so cool to see u make one of your awesome settlements and see a video of it😊

Hey Dave, when the cascadia mod comes out are you going to do let's builds with custom settlement spots? The mod itself won't have settlements, instead it will have player home type settlemts like diamond city and the nuka mountain grill thing. Hope to see you making settlements in western washington with references to the minutemen.
Okay so I have a vague question for the fallout settlement community. There was this guy I discovered on RUclips about a year ago that did a little bit of settlement building on the PS4, he wasn’t well known at all but for a PS4 user he was pretty good at settlement building and showed it all off with no commentary (at the time to my current knowledge). The only other hint I have is that for those who decide to look at his playlists he has one or a couple of playlists geared towards Jesus or religious stuff. Again I realize how vague this is but I’m hoping if there is a community that would know it’s this one.
