stomach ulcers are only really problematic if they burst as that can result in internal bleeding and infection either of which can be deadly so resting reduces that chance and allows them to heal. They can happen to anyone at any age though the risks of developing one varies from person to person but there is a significant higher chance for people who have a family history of them.

I know this is a little late, but for those who don’t know what an ulcer flare-up is, it’s basically an open sore that develops on the inner lining of the stomach. This can be caused by certain medications, stress, alcohol, and certain foods. This type of pain is genuinely one of the worst feelings ever; it feels like you’re repeatedly getting stabbed. I experienced this over a year ago because I was eating a lot of junk food and spicy food. I kid you not, this pain lasted for about 5-6 hours, and it was not a fun experience at all. I could barely sit up, walk, or eat. To my knowledge, this can happen at any age (I was 15 when this happened). Once the pain goes away, you can’t really do any physical activities for about 2-3 weeks until you’re healthy. There isn’t a way to cure this pain completely, and you simply need medication to reduce the frequency of this pain. To prevent this, you just need to stay healthy and avoid all the things I mentioned that can cause it. Hope this helps!

You don’t get stomach ulcers from physical training. Its just his diet and medication consumption. He should postpone and allow ulcers to recover, find out what food caused it and remove from diet. It’s that simple. He will probably take some meds for the ulcers and that will slow down his training progress but he should be fine.

Mike is using a lot of different things on a day to day OUT of competition, and since this fight isn't sanctioned, it's not subject to drug testing, and you know Mike will need to be on the juice in order to compete at his age. (I personally have no problem with this, just saying, this is most likely a steroid repercussion and will heal, at which point you can continue the use of whatever you're on without much issue moving forward.)
Stress can also cause them. Completely natural reasons can cause them. There's no proof that Tyson is using performance enhancing drugs. Also, Tyson vs Paul was ruled to be a sanctioned fight.

Mike Tyson may be one of the best boxers to ever exist, but he's almost 60 years old. He is a great but he is not even close to being great enough to overcome God, we are mortal beings with limited time, and as our time approaches we begin to have cracks in our armor. Mike is an old man, his cracks are showing, he needs to sit down and enjoy the remainder amount of time that god has blessed him with because his time is rapidly approaching.
