For me it’s the way that Jaemin was on a 1 year and a half hiatus due to a herniated disk and made his return with “GO” (their first non-cute comeback with rebellious dreamies) and we literally saw him go from “Chewing Gum” (their adorable debut song) to “GO” with absolutely nothing in between 😭 literally from before he fully hit puberty to a grown teenager 🥴

don’t feel bad about not knowing certain members or forgetting names. everyone who’s in the fandom has been there at one point. you’re actually doing really well because i’ve seen people who’ve been in the fandom much longer still struggle to pronounce some names.

17:15 this part in “we go up” makes me so emotional because this was Mark’s last comeback and you can see him watch Renjun as he dances kind of critiquing him and making sure he’s prepared because renjun is the second eldest in Dream 😔💔 like it’s a fun song and I love it but every time I watch it I keep remembering the crushing sadness I felt that whole era. The sadness that they were being separated after becoming so dependent and close to each other for years, as it wasn’t only Mark’s graduation but the graduation of 4 members that were coming up the next year leaving only Chenle and Jisung as no new members were announced 😭 you just had to be there to be honest like that’s why Hot Sauce and Hello Future era was so special to the fans and dreamies

@@graysplays Yeah only by a couple of months though because Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, and Jaemin are all the same age and were set to graduate the year after Mark since they’re born in 2000, which as I mentioned would have left the group with only Chenle and Jisung 😭

He debuted when he was like 14 and we have literally seen him grow from a literal CHILD (due to their predebut content) to this deep voiced 19 year old 🥴 he became a trainee when he was like 9 and has been with the dreamies ever since which is why the graduation system was shit because they were separating him from the people who he has basically grown up with… I just feel like SM didn’t plan on the emotional trauma and impact of it all like they couldn’t stop crying especially jisung after mark graduated during their first concerts without him. Despite the deep voice Jisung is one of the most soft-spoken people I’ve heard 😭 hes such a soft boy lol

The vocal for "All day" in Go is Renjun. And to pronounce his name I suggest hearing them say it. The R is almost an L so like Lunjun sort of. And Chenle is Chunla. Again listen to them say it. Also the soft vocals in We go up you liked were Marks lol it starts with Chenle, then Mark and finish with Renjun. Sorry I keep editing.

Chenle, in Korean, is pronounced more like "chunluh" with both "u"s making the same sound like the "u" in "up" or the "ou" sound in "loud". Its a bit off from the chinese pronunciation but the korean one works all the same. The ㄹ in Korean, when at the beginning of a word, sounds like a mix between r/l, so it's okay (ig?) is you say Ron or Lon. The 쥔 however has no similar sound in English (tb to xiaojun struggling to teach us how to say his name) so imagine saying "win" but adding a short j sound at the beginning, like jwin?? Idk lol. Also haechan actually did the "all day" adlib in GO
@@smokydior I was referencing the Korean pronunciation and how the boys say it. I wouldn’t know the proper Chinese way of saying it so my bad on that.
I think his Haechan comment in All day line at 5:22 was referring to the adlib after Renjun
to me the best way to tell Jeno and Jaemin apart is that Jeno has a very strong and masculine kinda look to him and a stronger jawline (plus his eye smile lol), while Jaemin has softer features and a pointer jawline (aka pretty boy), if that helps at all haha

I'm really glad you reacted to Nct Dream, it's my favorite unit musically speaking (because we're so close in age, I identify more with the members too) and I'm glad you liked it! Actually, I was a little confused because you had already reacted to "Hello Future", but I loved it just the same :) I highly recommend you watch the MVs in release order, it's really cool to see them grow over the years, but just if you want, it's just a recommendation anyway, and there's a collaboration with a british artist (HRVY) which is my favorite song of all time "Don't Need Your Love", only 5 members participated along with him, but the music is really good. I also recommend WayV's "Regular" (debut), "Take Off", "Moonwalk", "Love Talk" and "Turn Back Time", I really love those. About Nct 127, I particularly loved "Save", it's not a comeback but it's awesome, there's also "Highway to Heaven" (I really like the Japanese releases, but I don't know if it would be a problem reacting on your channel, but you can listen off camera). 37:25 haechan has rapped in bsides! not a ton just short parts but a song that comes on the top of my head is Stronger in the We Boom mini album. doyoung also said once that when they were trainees haechan was naturally the best at rapping

I was honestly impressed with how much more sure you got of the names throughout this video lol. By the end you had it down who everyone was! Pronounciation of names is gonna come once you start watching their content where they say their own names a lot and stuff, because Renjun is definitely hard to pronounce I feel like for Americans especially (it's vaguely something like... 'Lon-jin') and you're saying Haechan a bit wrong too (the second syllable is more like -chun rather than -chaen). But that's a super minor thing I just noticed and didn't take away from your hilarious and fun reaction at all! Enjoyed this a lot :)

hey man i love you reacting!!! it felt so genuine, sometimes while watching kpop reactions in general i feel like the reactor is exaggerating and putting up a show, maybe in fear of the fandom, which, understandable, i guess, but it completely ruins the experience for me since i can't tell when they actually like something and when they are just pretending. Defined going to check out more of your videos. Also, GO is my favorite NCT Dream song and it makes me sad that it's so underrated, but as you said it yourself, it has a very weird sound and it's not for everyone. I'm glad you enjoyed it though! And YES We Go Up definitely deserved more views, such a good song too.

Go and Ridin are my favourite Dream songs, I love the hard beats and the vocals are so amazing in both songs. I really recommend the dance practices for all the songs, but especially for We Go Up. It’s the most satisfying dance practice ever, I feel like. They are so synchronised it’s unbelievable.

YES i was thinking the whole video that you need to see their dance practices, especially for Hello Future and We Go Up. Also the dance practice for We Young once you check that out, and the mv for My First and Last (sadly doesn't have a dance practice, but does have a performance video!) for some other really cool choreos. these boys have energy for days, make me feel tired just watching them xD
If my memory serves me, Dream's 5 year anniversary is next month! so yeah, the fact that they're technically 3rd gen idols, but they're the age of 4th gen idols... kinda crazy. And the fact that Mark and Haechan both debuted in two different groups when they were only 16/17? Insanity.
Also, in case you're interested, NCT has a series of videos called 'Uncuts' where it shows their process of learning the choreo and recording the songs, and it's so interesting to see them in their element, a lot less filtered than usual. They just released the dance uncut for Hello Future, and i loved seeing them work out the kinks of the choreo to get it just right! It's an awesome mix of showing off their talents and their personalities.
And great job on the names!!! Someone else in the comments said it, but I agree that the best way to learn how to say them is to listen to how the members say it (another great thing to come from the uncuts :P ) I've been loving your journey and I can't wait to see where you go with it!

You should watch their collab with Hrvy I don't need your love, they rap in there as well but as an OG KPop stan (10+ years since second gen) I can say that whole song is one of the best things that ever happened in Kpop and absolutely IMO the best most natural Kpop/Western collab that has ever happened. It's still almost creepy how easily Hrvy slipped into the group especially cause Mark was gone at the time so he just slipped in learned the choreo and everything and the way their voices all blend so naturally, insane. But yeah the song is fire I literally listened to it today. Haven't stopped since it came out. One of the best pop songs of all time. You made a really good point about the beat being choppy and "weird" because I feel like that is such a defining part of nct tracks! I think it's is SO nct to have a funky beat that is kind of hard to vibe too. That's what happened with the new song Sticker. For me, those songs are growers... the more you listen, the more you love it! Nct is one of my favorite groups because of their originality! 😍
