Don’t feel bad about not getting into their stuff before, this is the best time to become a fan tbh, they have so much control over their art these days, this track and Gambler were produced by Joohoney for example. The last year or so, ever since they were allowed to be more involved, their music has just reached a new peak quality wise, I feel like monbebes are now more than ever proud to call themselves fans of this group because there is just so much authenticity and honesty and pure love for music that it’s overwhelming. Not to God forbid discredit their previous work because it’s amazing and they have always been involved in making music but now they have more control and have matured as artists and have more life experience to deliver some of their best work. They are literally in their prime, right now, with one member out and another in the military, 7 years in the game... how ICONIC!!!!

I am starting to understand that it's really hard to have a bias in Monsta X...but I feel you on Hyungwon.
I can't keep doing this with groups. I like all of these men, and it's painful.

i really love their older works but they have more creative freedom nowadays and it makes me feel like a proud mom when i see their accomplishments with their self-produced title tracks

Yes Shownu did some acting. He's part of this horror series which was released today actually.
And yes i agree you cant put them in one pocket of sound, they are in all spectrum. They manage to just show their OWN color regardless the genre. Also, might i add, the title tracks Gambler, Rush Hour, and Love was produced by Jooheon himself. (5 out of 6 of the Shape of Love album is produced by the members). Bsides are INSAAANE with MX.
I remember back in 2018 i was studying for my exam on RUclips *math shit* and a kpop song kept popping as an ad, i got so mad and clicked on it, it was shoot put by monsta X and i've been a monbebe since (: the weirdest stanning story!
Doesn't everyone learn the members like that though, hahaha? For me it was always like:
lips = Hyungwon, little bear rapper = Jooheon, looks like a tall & stretched version of Jooheon = Shownu (don't judge me lmao), gives me bad boy vibes = I.M, small & delicate face = Kihyun and whoever's left = Minhyuk (I'm so sorry bb omg) and when Wonho was still in it = the one with the ears
I called Jooheon "Dimples" for the longest time. lol
Wonho being recognised by his ears is always so endearing to me, he's so cute, also I think he has the most square-ish (?) face out of all of them. I definitely laughed at your Shownu explanation 😂😂 I just always looked for who had a really low collared sweater or shirt and that was Shownu lol. I also used to recognise Kihyun by his sharp ass nose 😂.

I agree with you. Something about Jooheon and I.M's rap together is just so addicting. That was honestly one of the reasons why I fell for monsta x and they became my ult group 🤌🏻🥰
My only comment the only thing other than amazing praise I can say for them as a group I am so proud of I.M for finally getting to the point where he’s comfortable with his singing voice and be able to show it off in their albums and in their songs and he’s proud of himself I’m so proud of him he’s come so far I mean they all have their so amazing they made so much progress as a group I’m just so so happy for them you cannot you cannot explain my happiness
You NEED to listen to their English albums. They are the best at English releases in the industry in my opinion. Their most resent English album The Dreaming is amazing.
I've been a fan of Monsta X for like 5 years now, but they're constantly surprising me. They have so many different genres and vibes, but it's all SO Monsta X and they always kill it!

Jooheon and I.M are like fire and ice fr fr jooheon is really in his element. I.M as cane master 🔥. Hyungwon as center is just amazing. Min’s part with the smooth and slick rap part is just the perfect part and I was excited because I haven’t heard him do that before 😍and Kiki’s vocals and all of those glitter scenes 👁👄👁. It was everything for me I LOVE MONSTAX
i loved how you pointed out that everything they do is really unique. i really believe they are a group that have such a strong identity and unique sound that is exclusively doable by THEM. MX can do everything but no one can do them. after so many years in the industry they continue to innovate and influence the industry. they haven’t been credited or recognized until recently but they are really THAT group. and the fact that jooheon is making their title tracks (gambler, rush hour and love) is the key to that because they know their sound better than anyone else. they’re pushing themselves to experiment with music while straying true to their colors

@@graysplays yeah you will defiantly get ahold on to it :) one thing that would help is if you react to compilations of monsta x and see there sense of humor. Who they are one of the funniest guys ever. But you can get to know them and out there names because of there sense of humor. Also kihyun normally is the one that does the ad Libs. The huge booming voice. :) also if hyungwon ends up as your bias I would be so happy haha he’s my number one ult. I love hyungwon.
@@graysplays same! When I was first getting to know Monsta X I got confused all the time between those 2, it doesn’t help they change hair colour each cb too but now MX are my ults and I could tell them apart from vocals alone or even just a random body part haha

Also Monsta X have more grown up concepts. They def. show you they are grown ass men. (Listen to the song Love U from them lmao there's no MV but they are GROWN!) And that's what I love about them. Most BG put on this more innocent, subliminally sexy vibe. But MX is like ha ha nahhhhh.

when you said that you always knew about monsta x but just never tried really get into them and all... dude i feel you so much, it's the same for me with so many groups tbh and i jus sit and do nothing in trying to get into them. i dunno i think eventually everything comes into your life when you need it the most, even music. and no need to feel bad about not getting earlier, it's really okay.
short story time:
back in 2014 i got into team b then they debuted as iKON and i was such a big iKONIC, they showed me how fun can be life and how to enjoy it, i have so many good memories with them. in 2018 i stopped follow the news about them that much and became just a casual listener.
i got into bts in 2016 and really was a huge army till the middle of last year. they really helped me a lot, they showed me how to love myself, yeah cheesy maybe, but it's true. i'm not such a big army anymore but i still love them so much.
bigbang also was with me such a long time and got me through a lot bad moments in my life. monsta x too. also got7, txt.
in 2018 stray kids came into my life and here i am waking up happy every single day because of these 8 boys.
i don't know how long i wil like be a stan of a certain group but i'm for sure love them all so dearly because if not them... perhaps many things would be different in my life.

YÉSSSSS, Monsta x is the group who can do a 2022 song looks like from 90's and 2000's without lose his own style, you know what I mean? I'm a big fan of backsteet boys and this album gave me some of these old and beautiful vibes, the tune, lyrics, arrangment, dance, style... everything is on another level.... in the end, this is a UNIQUE WORK OF ART. Jooheon told us in the Showcase that this song were meant for monbebes, to convey his love toward us. I hope the whole world would have analyzed every part of mx's songs (like meaning lyrics dances mv and everything) like you...then all of them would have been a part of our mbb family....please react to the whole album i mean the remaining b side tracks . Like there are a couple of good rappers in kpop, don't get me wrong, but these two just put the icing on the cake together if that makes sense. Jooheon (all of them) is a master at producing songs. Plus, all of their albums are no-skips. They have some of the best b-sides I've heard.

I think with love Killa their discography take a big turn into a new and interesting direction. I feel like that was the best decision, although I absolutely adore all the songs from before Fatal Love era. Also Jooheon’s evolution as a producer?? Yeah he’s an absolute genius.

To answer your question they have all acted among themselves on their own variety show X-Ray, I highly recommend checking it out! Shownu has made apperences on various reality shows and cameo'd in a couple drama's along with some commercials, Hyungwon has been a lead in a couple small dramas, all the boys starred in a show called High end crush.
You HAVE to see/listen to them covering Versace on the Floor 😍 everybody showing off those vocals
