Classic Z. "How do I grow food?" Proceeds to fly past the food grower in the crafting menu because he's too excited to stop and read. :)
The growing of food is in the oxygen tier number 4. You skimmed past so fast that you didn't take the few seconds time to read each of them.
Found it funny how everyone saw it except z1 the perfectionist!
Seriously, why do people skim the crafting menus so fast?

@@benmartin1988 I feel like that happens multiple times during each and every one of his videos. Thats just who Z1 is :p
Side note: I feel like it might be hard to get to tier 4 of oxygen before you run out of food, but maybe that's just me.

How many people kept pointing at the screen going, "It's right there... It's right there!" as he kept reading absolutely everything on the screen and skipping the one item he searched for, for 20 minutes...
@Z1 Gaming when you were looking at the blueprints not only was there other tiers for crafting bench, you also missed the Food Grower in the Oxygen tab for 1000ppq
Watching this man pass over what he is looking for time after time is infuriating.
I agree so much I feel like youtubers are so good at playing games yet it takes them like an hour to figure out what to do.
don't worry about the food, you won't ran out of it before you unlock it

there is a work around to the food issue at the beginning of the game: it's an exploit, really. when your food is low, get into your base, save and quit the game. when you reload the save, your food is full. this is a bit cheap so i don't really use it, but it's there if you need it.
As I walked around the map, I found boxes containing food and other rare metals that are needed to make many different things. However, for this purpose you will have to stock up on oxygen because it runs out quickly.
suggest higher ground for reasons, lay foundations then pods when building a full base (have 1 pod set up to refill O2 off to the side while base building )

Watching this while I play Planet Crafter. It's really a testament to the corporation's intentions for your sentence that they don't even let you unlock "Food" until you were long out of the the small supply they sent you with.
there are heaps of crates spread throughout the map with space food packets,and food packets in the wrecks...more than enough to sustain you until you unlock crafting food machine.But as mentioned take the time to read the crafting menu items and what they do and how to unlock them.
This was fun!!! I like that you can name the chests/storage lockers, so you know what is in them.
Get a flashlight and investigate the crashes. They are quick and have a ton of useful goodies. Also, food is not limited. It is in crates all over the planet
Right near your base, that sand waterfall thing? Its a cave with TONS of Irridium in it. The resources you will need TONS of though are: Iron, Cobalt, Aluminum, Irridium and a special composite metal.

You scrolled over a "Food Grower" in the blueprints.
I hate how every new game he instantly tries to build a pretty base, even though he doesn't have the materials for it.

I still only saw it until the 19:00 minute
the game has changed a bit from the demo you played before. In order to unlock new items, you have to build oxygen generation machines, drills (which will give pressure to the planet) and heat. these three types will come together and gradually increase the terraforming.
increase your exosuit to give you more space on your equipment (construction tool, light, oxygen tank, ....)
If you go exploring, make advanced bases (take resources to build mini base, door, crafter) then you'll get oxygen for the character, craft water

+/- at each end of the map you have pieces of spaceship, you can enter them and loot. they are dark, you will need light. the faster you can increase the planet's oxygen, heat and pressure, the faster you'll unlock new items.
You will find some "ice" walls, the ice will only disappear at a certain time depending on the terraforming, the value I don't know, the ice is blocking the new resources of the new 12/19/2021 update
you can deconstruct some items from the ship pieces (things you'll be able to build after unlocking them)
you have at least 8 golden chests scattered around the map, you can also deconstruct them to get more items (but these chests cannot be built)
now I leave you to explore and have fun
I was wondering why i found a golden chest behind spikes.
@@RaisentThePirate s normal, there are more than eight golden chests spread across the map. the loot is almost always the same (but iridiu and uranium sticks always come in handy), but deconstructing the chest always earns some items

When you were building the base trying to line up the pod with the stairs, it seems like it would have just been easier to place the platform by standing at the top of the stairs to line it up, and then just setting the pod on the platform.

Just found this series and I’m loving it so much I’m watching it on 1.75x speed because I I want catch up😂 BUT watching you have to relearn how to play after playing through the beta is killing me! I haven’t checked how long between videos there was, and I’m sure that’s the reason why, but I just needed to get that off my chest.
I think there’s a game you would like which is deep rock galactic you play as badass dwarves and you have to drop down a moon and mine materials while fighting swarms of aliens! (And keep making videos as always of course)
It's fun. For 10 hours then you got everything unlocked and it's just playing for "fun" instead of progression.
I play it! I have a video with Mrs. Z1 over it and we both occasionally stream it. Great game!

Also funny how you said you were moving your base back a bit bcoz it looks silly floating off the ground by like a meter, now it's 20meters in the air!!!
Loving the playthrough! I really like the global power system, but a power grid system would also be cool. The game really reminds me of above ground Subnqutica
