Benny was indeed the best character here. Also have to say that Viggo was good looking for a cannibal and you could at least see what was going on in the dark scenes unlike movies today! Thanks Snob!
It's weird for me since I grew up in the 90s. Before I saw him in all these horror movies, I just knew him as Kenan's dad from the Nickelodeon sitcom. When I started watching horror movies in the early 2000s, suddenly I'm seeing him all over the place. Actually, I think this is the first one I saw him in, and given this was only a few years before Kenan and Kel, it was easy to recognize him.
That was one of the best things about Ed Wood movies. You could actually SEE what was going on in the movie, unlike a lot of other movies. I’m looking at you, Monster AGoGo
what i loved about this movie was the trailer for it. the whole lady in the lake scene tossing him the chainsaw then he turns and faces the audience with a woman screaming in the background was epic for a 2 min trailer.
When my sister and I were children, our parents were going to take us to see a movie at the theater. My sister (and the entire family) wanted to see The Little Mermaid while I wanted to see Leatherface. A few moments ago my girlfriend asked if I wanted to see the new 'The Little Mermaid', and I said I'd rather watch the Latherface review. Strange how these things happen.
This was actually my favorite of the entire series. There’s a catharsis to it near the end that the other films don’t really have, when the final girl gets to go crazy on the Sawyers.
I saw this in theaters in NYC opening weekend, and some of the moments had the crowd cheering and laughing. Lots of pops. This film is a wholly underrated entry to the franchise. THE SAW IS FAMILY!
This one is my favorite out of the WHOLE series! For Leatherface's GREAT character growth in a loving and supportive environment, BENNY NEED I SAY MORE, Leatherface's DAUGHTER who is proof to him that there IS beauty and normalcy in him, BENNY, Mama and Tex and Tinker most definitely seem like Cook's family, and the opening text crawl explains what WOULD have happened after the end of part 1. Cook would've been the only one left, calls up his nephews from off the back roads to come and get Leatherface and Grandpa before the cops get there, and HE takes the fall and gets executed! I also really like the TV movie look, though I feel really bad for Jeff Burr (my third favorite director of all time) not getting to do it like the first one the way he wanted! AND losing Gunnar over salary issues, but R.A. is so much like him I never would've known he was a different guy! 'Leatherface' is what the original started out as being called too:)
Fun Fact: Jeff Burr was another director considered to direct *"H/>LLOWEEN 6: The Curse of Michael Myers",* along-side Fred Walton who did the original *"April Fool's Day"* & *"When A Stranger Calls",* before going to Joe Chapelle in the end.
YEAH!!!! i love this one i have never seen the regular version just the unrated version and from what i been told it makes a big diffrence. this is really last GOOD texas chainsaw movie , i mean next generation yeah its bad BAD BAAAAAAAAAAAD!! but i still watch it over anything past 2003 remake
SO underrated! Even with all the meddling from the studio and being neutered by the MPAA it was my favorite up until the remake and still is my second favorite!
Its a shame that Foree didnt get in more features of more prominence. He could easily pass for the same natural charisma as someone like Ernie Hudson has. Its like he is saying its okey im here now your safe. Great now im eager to revisit the ribwich episode from the simpsons thanks to that commercial.
I don't know man, in the grand zietgiest of cinema I feel Ken Foree has a much bigger imprint than Hudson due specifically to his being a mainstay in the horror world as opposed to menial mainstream film roles. If you ask anybody to name 3 Ernie Hudson movies it would be a challenge beyond Ghostbusters, whereas most horror fans can pop 10 Foree movies off the hip.
Agreed. I don't know if Ken auditioned for Ghostbusters but if he did and I was the casting director. I wouldn't hire him. Why? Because he's so good that he would take away lines and screen time from the big 3. In an alternate timeline, Ken Foree did become more mainstream. Maybe a hit tv series. Anyway, in that reality. Ken gets all the memes that Chuck Norris got! I dont mind Chuck Norris but the guy is a charisma vacuum. Imho Maybe I just havent seen the right Norris film but "I'm Joe Grizzly Bitch!!!" Cheers from Canada
I remember seeing the Excalibur trailer for this way back then, when I couldn't imagine actually watching the movie. It may have been when my mother brought me, at the age of about eight, to see Jacob's Ladder.
I love how absolutely unbothered Alfredo is with a rifle in his face. Just raises his eyebrows and looks around like it’s a joke and says “do I know you?” 😅
I've always enjoyed the unedited/ unrated version of this one. It's gory [ unlike the R-rated version ] it had good performances by Ken Foree, Viggo Mortensen, and Tom Everett as Alfredo, good dialogue, a good soundtrack, and a surprisingly bleak ending [ Benny and Michelle likely died of gas gangrene and/ or blood poisoning, even if they made it to hospital ]
This makes me miss the couch episodes, it’s odd seeing Brad this close as the Snob. Side notes a friend of mine owns the Excalibur saw from the trailer.
In the titlecard, Brad looks likes that dancing guy from those Six Flags commercials. 1:16- I've seen Excalibur (thanks to your 1981 in Film episode), and after seeing some online reviews of TCM3 (including this one), I have no immediate plans on seeing this film. Excalibur is a dream, this film is a nightmare. 5:22- I think that's also the Maine welcome sign in the Stephen King Universe. 7:31- McRib > McDLT 11:17- Does it have a hot tub death like in the original Halloween II? 18:39- Hey, it could have been worst. He could have broken his foot on camera while kicking a orc helmet like he did in The Two Towers. 20:34- No freaking kidding, Brad. Good luck with reviewing that cup of Texas crazy.
Caroline Williams reprises her role as Stretch from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (1986) in a cameo as a news reporter. Director Jeff Burr said he imagined Stretch becoming a reporter following the trauma she experienced in the second movie in an attempt to hunt down Leatherface. Director Jeff Burr was fired at the beginning of production. When nobody else accepted the job, he was rehired. He claims that he was probably the 50th director offered the job, as names like John McNaughton, Peter Jackson, Sam Raimi, Tom Savini, Scott Spiegel, Renny Harlin, and many others had all turned it down. He also claimed that New Line forbade him from talking to Tobe Hooper but never found out why. Film trailer was done before they even had a director and before the production started. Submitted 11 times to the MPAA. On each submission, more and more footage was cut out, some of which was lost forever. The original script was much more brutal with explicit gore sequences. The producers objected to many of the scenes (one of which had a nude man being split down the middle while hung upside down) and demanded extensive changes to the script to reduce gore and violence. Further cuts had to be made to avoid an X-rating after the film was finished. This was the final movie to be given an "X" certificate by the MPAA before the rating was replaced with "NC-17". The house from this movie was also used in Alice Cooper's "House of Fire" music video. New Line picked up the rights to the series, hoping that if successful, Leatherface would replace their soon to be completed "A Nightmare on Elm Street" series. The box-office disappointment of this film caused New Line to let their option on the material expire. Kane Hodder - whose best-known role is that of another horror icon, Jason Voorhees - was the stunt coordinator for this movie. He was also R.A. Mihailoff's stunt double and played Leatherface in the trailer. There was also supposed to be a brutal "unmasking" scene, which would reveal Leatherface as horribly disfigured. That scene was scrapped (despite an obvious buildup during the opening credits) and saved because New Line wanted to use it in the next sequel, which never materialised. It was eventually used in the remake The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003). Property master Paul Byers designed the chromium Excalibur chainsaws for the film and was paid $3,000 for each. Three chainsaws were used for the movie, each of which had a plastic dummy replica. The opening scene, in which Leatherface creates his new flesh mask, is a homage to A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984). Freddy is seen creating his razor-blade glove in the opening scene of NOES. This is due to New Line Cinema making TCM III after obtaining the rights to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre title and characters. Director Jeff Burr wanted to shoot the film in Texas using 16 mm film just like the original, but New Line rejected the idea because they had already built the house in California. Tom Savini was offered the job of directing this film The chainsaw in the movie weighed approximately 80 pounds. The ranch where most of the filming was done is so close to the Six Flags Magic Mountain amusement park that director Jeff Burr swears you can hear screams from the rollercoaster during some takes. Leatherface is never referred to as Leatherface he's always referred to by his family simply as "Junior". Director Jeff Burr wanted Gunnar Hansen to return to the role of Leatherface, but neither party could come to an agreement on salary. Burr eventually settled on R.A. Mihailoff. Among others, one of New Line's first choices for director was Peter Jackson. The only Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie not filmed in Texas (it was filmed outside Los Angeles, California). Farmhouse and gas station were sets built for the film. obe Hooper, director of the original The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974), was originally going to be involved in the film. He had submitted a treatment to New Line execs, but bowed out of the project due to scheduling conflicts concerning his film Spontaneous Combustion (1989). The armadillo hit by Michelle and the coyote thrown on the Mercedes both have earrings, the same as worn by Tinker. The song that plays when Leatherface jumps in his pickup truck and bears down on his victims in the pond is "Bored" by San Francisco thrashers, Death Angel. In the teaser trailer, Leatherface is portrayed by actor Kane Hodder, who would eventually be the stunt co-ordinator and R.A. Mihailoff's (Leatherface) stunt double for the movie itself. This isn't Hodder's first time playing an iconic horror villain; he played Jason Voorhees from 1988 to 2001, and even donned Freddy Krueger's iconic bladed glove for a scene in Jason Goes to Hell (1993). When Tex points out that the road map was printed in 1973, this is a reference to the first film, which was filmed in and is based on events that supposedly took place in summer 1973. Jon Hess lobbied to direct the movie, but New Line felt his ideas were too dark and gruesome. Leatherface's speaking toy is a PC Pal, made by Texas Instruments. The film was originally going to have Grandpa Sawyer to not only survive, but speak for the first time in the series' history, turning out to be quite talkative when in the mood and tending to ramble on about the good old days. For unknown reasons, it was decided to have him be a real corpse in this entry. There was actually a series of forest fires in Valencia, California, during filming. This prompted the crew to scramble and work hard to get the burnt forest out of the shots during filming. They even went to the extreme of not lighting the background so that the burnt-out trees would not be visible. Viggo Mortensen played Tex as though he were secretly gay. Originally slated for a November 3rd, 1989 release, the release date was soon pushed to January 12th of the following year. Tinker's death by bleeding out from his bullet wounds was cut from the film, leaving his fate a mystery. Leatherfaces chainsaw is a Stihl 066 magnum. This saw was built and cromed out by a dealer in Ca. It had a custom built 36" bar. these saws were built from 1987 to 1996. William Butler and Jennifer Banko were both in Friday The 13th 7: The New Blood. Ken Foree was in Rob Zombie's Halloween (2007). Duane Whitaker and Caroline Williams were both in Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 (2009). William Butler was in the remake of The Night of the Living Dead (1990), Ken Foree was in the sequel to the original 1968 classic Dawn of the Dead (1978). Initially refused any classification by the British Board of Film Censors, thereby killing off any prospects of a cinematic release. It has since been reclassified to 18 for home video and DVD release. The poorest performing film in the series up until the release of Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation (1994). R.A. Milhailoff is the first left-handed actor to portray Leatherface. William Butler (Ryan) was in Friday the 13th part VII: The New Blood (1988) in which his character gets killed by Jason Voorhees, Joe Unger was in the original Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) in which he played a small role as a cop both Freddy and Jason would come together in Freddy vs Jason (2003). Jeff Burr wanted his name removed from the film, but was told that the first reel of the film had already been printed, so there were already 1,500 prints of the beginning of the film with his name on them. Burr also said there was never a "director's cut" of the film because it was constantly being submitted to the MPAA and so was always being re-edited to try to get an R rating. While filming the fight scene between Benny and Tex at the truck, Ken Foree accidentally broke Viggo Mortensen's ribs. The shot was seemingly left in the movie (you can see Mortensen suddenly clutch after being thrown to the ground). It was decided that Ken Foree's character Benny should live after he gained high favorable responses during early test screenings. The new ending was subsequently shot, in which somehow Benny pops up in the final scene, with a tiny flesh wound on his head (even though his death at the hands of Leatherface is strongly implied). Originally, Benny and Leatherface both succumbed to their injuries at the end of the movie, but New Line decided to shoot a new ending with editor Michael N. Knue in which both characters survive. Jeff Burr was very surprised when he saw the movie in the cinema for the first time; the new ending was shot without his knowledge. Ken Foree has an ending similar to his character in "Dawn of the Dead", the only survivor along with a white girl whose partner was killed by the threat.
If I don't hear the song "Clean out them traps. Clean 'em up real good" song in this review, I'm giving up in life. That was the best part of the film, imo. Plus, anything Fangoria's David Schow writes is at the very least fun and entertaining. So I like this film more than most people do. It did have potential for it to be more ....uhm..... gruesome, but that's for another day I suppose.
It's over on our archive site www.thecinemasnob.com. That episode was edited back in the Blip days, so it would be hard to upload it as is on the main channel. However maybe I'll do a re-edit of it sometime.
I've always had a soft spot for this one. It's silly and certainly chopped to garbage by the MPAA, but it's kinda fun with Viggo going all out and Ken Foree is always cool. I also like Kate Hodge, who is also great in the Brandon Lee flick Rapid Fire! And yeah, I NEED you to cover the psychotic weirdness of the fourth film!
After seeing this review I now know what have drastically improved the Wrong Turn series. A Benny-type character hunting down those mutant cannibals and filling them with lead!
To me texas chainsaw massacre 1-4 are all part of the same timeline. Leatherface was with his dad and 2 brothers in 1 and 2. 3 he goes on the run and links up with his mom and her side of the family. 4 he links up with the last brother in his family
19:21 After the pain and near death experiences caused by Kel Mitchell, of course Roger Rockmore has no problem surviving the Sawyer family! 17:43 As Paulie from The Sopranos said, "You can't even put them around the baby. They suck the breathe right out!" Speaking of which, keep an eye open when your son arrives Brad!
This series has so many alternate timelines its insane similar to Halloween which also drives me crazy with all the timelines. I think this 3rd sequel had potential the new family is interesting and good enough the overall tone and when it was made has some gritty vibe to it but also feels very of its time with the metal soundtrack. Overall I dont hate the unrated version of this movie it repeats to much of the first at points but overall its an alright time waster for me none of the Chainsaw sequels or Remakes come close to the first because that film cant be replicated. W.E Sawyer is supposed to be the Cook from the part 1 the narration is trying to imply he was caught but somehow Leatherface got away.
I saw your comment last night as I was falling asleep and have been looking for it since. Halloween multiverse H1, h2, h4, h5, h6 H3 H1, h2, h20, hRes RZH, RZH2 H1, H2018, HKILLS, H ENDS that's 5 Texas Chainsaw multiverse Tcm, tcm 2 Tcm, tcm 3 Tcm, tcm NG Texas Baynsaw, prequel Yeah tcm is way more multiverse 🤯
I'm gonna go see a local showing of the uncut version some dude is going around doing promos with and he has the actor coming so I hope I can get an autograph lole
Years ago, a friend gifted me the unrated version on DVD (is there a Blu-ray of this? Streaming?), but I haven't watched it yet. Does it fix all the gore FX issues with the theatrical release?
Ken Foree consistently stands out as a top-tier horror actor. His performance in "Dawn of the Dead" (1978) is particularly memorable, portraying a resilient and tenacious character who faces hordes of zombies and a biker gang. Considering his prowess, why not have him confront the infamous Texan cannibals.
I remember seeing this movie when I was like 8 or 9. Well remember is a bit much. I just knew it was a Texas Chainsaw movie and the only scene that stood out was the truck turning on its lights. I'm not sure why that scene stuck with me all these years. I eventually re-watched it when I was older and I didn't hate it. I think the armadillo scene is kind of a contrast in the end when she doesn't hesitate to hit Leatherface with a similar rock that she struggled to kill the armadillo with. I do think the original ending was much better and definitely bleaker. Foree dies in it and the final scene is Michelle walking down a dirt road toward a police cruiser when the little girl pops up in the backseat and starts laughing at her. Much better ending. Really makes you think she's doomed.
Maybe Eye of the Tiger will win the poll, someday. For me, that movie is a perfect example of "What is an '80's Action movie?". It's got most of the tropes related and the story is goofy in all the right places. As for TCM3, that was one of the earliest workprints I ever saw, via VHS. I'll just say the workprint was edited differently, and I enjoyed it more than the official release. Much like Rambo 4, actually.
This movie is so underrated. The characterization is so great. The script is fantastic. And the murder family is the best murder family in TCM or any of these backwards slasher movies. People are just haters.
Ahh!! C'mon, you can't beat Stretch??!! LG, knife scene, very twisted?? Someone partially skinned him!! I keep trying to buy 2 on a cloud, but they won't sell it. I can watch it, not buy it? I suppose you can have your favorite. Maybe I will buy 2 on DVD. Three is better than most.
Benny was indeed the best character here. Also have to say that Viggo was good looking for a cannibal and you could at least see what was going on in the dark scenes unlike movies today! Thanks Snob!

Alfredo had some of the best line delivery in the series
This was actually my favorite of the entire series. There’s a catharsis to it near the end that the other films don’t really have, when the final girl gets to go crazy on the Sawyers.
Pretty impressive that even the director didn't have the ending spoiled before he saw the movie.
Benny vs the family in a First Blood style fight through the woods would have been amazing.
I fully agree!
I miss snob episodes like this thank you brad
I saw this in theaters in NYC opening weekend, and some of the moments had the crowd cheering and laughing. Lots of pops. This film is a wholly underrated entry to the franchise.
THE SAW IS FAMILY!
I think Kate Hodge as Michelle is an underrated final girl, and Ken Foree being a bad-ass with a big gun is always a good time
AINT YOU GUYS EVER HEARD OF PIZZA!?
@@repairshop22they do in the next one
I remember the trailer for this movie watching it when I was in high school and of course the chainsaw basically became Excalibur
When really it should have been Anduril. Deep cut. So to speak.
3 is one of my favs!! Probably one of the best in the whole universe of Tx Chainsaw!
Oh, you mean my first TCM movie? My 2nd favorite TCM by a mile? LOVE IT.
Which one is your favorite of the series? 3 is also my second favorite after part 1.
Underrated classic, "You ready to roll Young Yoeman!"
2 movies i found once in a blue moon at the video store: leatherface part 3 and part 4 next generation.
Vhs made me love these 2 movies so mych
I second the idea that you should do a show on Death Spa.
I like this sequel the best
"not a Fine Young Cannibals fan I take it." that joke drove me crazy with laughter.
SO underrated! Even with all the meddling from the studio and being neutered by the MPAA it was my favorite up until the remake and still is my second favorite!
At least in this Movie nobody say's ,, cancel him" like in the newest Texas Chainsaw Massacre Movie.
My brother and I watched this and had the same reaction: More Ken Foree please! Great review 10/10 fricheks
he should review that Kenan & Kel Movie, Two Heads Are Better Than None
Before facing Michael Myers, Joe Grizzly fought Leatherface.
In my head, it's the same character. he just fell asleep after being stabbed in a truck stop bathroom.
And Zombies!
Cheers
I got a deluxe burrito grande talking back at me, so I’ll be awhile. Mind waiting somewhere else while I unleash this beasts of beasts.
POETRY!!!!!!
pluss i love the theme music video they used for this movie
Watching these after work is so unwinding!
i love the classic commercials added in to the actual commercial break
And all of a sudden, a kingdom ruled, and law based around chainsaws, placed in the mid-evil time line, sounds awesome
"just tell me whqt you think this movie would look like based on its title."
Classic snob, youtube is lucky to have him.
I don't even think I voted in this pull lol. I don't remember. Also great review

I remember seeing the Excalibur trailer for this way back then, when I couldn't imagine actually watching the movie. It may have been when my mother brought me, at the age of about eight, to see Jacob's Ladder.
as much as I still enjoy the Friday the 13th movies for their over all silliness at times Texas Chainsaw wins my heart.
I love how absolutely unbothered Alfredo is with a rifle in his face. Just raises his eyebrows and looks around like it’s a joke and says “do I know you?” 😅
Another Classic episode.
I've been watching since the basement days, so at this point, for me,
THE SNOB IS FAMILY :)
8:42 AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW HERE IT GOES!
Two heads are better than none, right?

Ken Foree is a legend!
This is the snob I know and love ❤️❤️
Death Spa is a trip of a movie
Lol, I remember watching this with my dad back in the day. Also re-watched it a few years ago too.
Great vid. Love the series

20:34- No freaking kidding, Brad. Good luck with reviewing that cup of Texas crazy.
I saw this one in the theater. I thought it was pretty fun for what it was.
Love a kitty Cameo. RIP Lloyd. 🐱🐈🐈⬛
Viggo really has a thing for getting injured on set and having it left in the film.
Is It Soup Yet!!! Loved Alfredo
Okay, for real, Brad! There isn't one time I can't watch any of your vids since your Unplanned review without thinking about McDonald's anymore! 🤤
Cinema Snob rules all!
A McRib Commercial during a Texas Chainsaw Massacre Review. So wrong, yet somewhat funny

Yes! Please do Death Spa! That is such a fun one.
This is my favorite movie in the series besides the original.
Militant lumberjacks 😂
this is still my favorite out of the classic franchise haha
I've always associated Viggo with Aragorn so seeing him in this was some serious nerd whiplash.
Swear to God I was just thinking this afternoon, Geez why hasn't Brad reviewed Leatherface yet.
Ask and ye shall receive 😊
since I was stoned off my gourd the first time I watch the 4tn installment I still remember it fondly albeit in a bit of a haze.
Hands down, my favorite TCM sequel. Not saying it's good, but I find it absolutely hilarious. Which I guess isn't the intended impression.
First time I watched it; free on RUclips in 360p
If I don't hear the song "Clean out them traps. Clean 'em up real good" song in this review, I'm giving up in life. That was the best part of the film, imo. Plus, anything Fangoria's David Schow writes is at the very least fun and entertaining. So I like this film more than most people do. It did have potential for it to be more ....uhm..... gruesome, but that's for another day I suppose.
I agree, more Ken Foree movies
Nice. But where's the first one though?
It's over on our archive site www.thecinemasnob.com. That episode was edited back in the Blip days, so it would be hard to upload it as is on the main channel. However maybe I'll do a re-edit of it sometime.
I find it funny that I always remember Ken Foree as 'Kenan's Dad' from Kenan and Kel instead of 'Peter' from the 78' Dawn of the Dead lol
Same here. I always got death glares from my fellow horror fans for it.
I think TCM 3 is pretty good, and I actually enjoy all the movies in this franchise outside of the terrible 4th movie.
I miss Lloyd
I've always had a soft spot for this one. It's silly and certainly chopped to garbage by the MPAA, but it's kinda fun with Viggo going all out and Ken Foree is always cool. I also like Kate Hodge, who is also great in the Brandon Lee flick Rapid Fire! And yeah, I NEED you to cover the psychotic weirdness of the fourth film!
TCM: The Next Generation is my favorite one of the bunch. It's absolutely bonkers!
After seeing this review I now know what have drastically improved the Wrong Turn series. A Benny-type character hunting down those mutant cannibals and filling them with lead!
Researched like a boss!!!!
Always ready to watch sum snob 😎🤟
If this is the one with ken foree then its one of my parents fav cuz at the end when he lights vigo on fire hes like “toast, fuck!” Lol
To me texas chainsaw massacre 1-4 are all part of the same timeline. Leatherface was with his dad and 2 brothers in 1 and 2. 3 he goes on the run and links up with his mom and her side of the family. 4 he links up with the last brother in his family
A year later and still waiting on texas chainsaw 4 snob review 😢
The McRib commercial was just 😢. I miss you McRib.
Man The Prowler lost sadge
When this movie was new, I was SO relieved it didn't totally suck. Keyword: totally
How is this video not 8 years old..?

There is a Blu-Ray and it does have the Uncut version.
Don’t forget that old man saying motherfuckers don’t tell me what I should do which has since been immortalized in the AVGN Video
Hey Brad, can you please do re-reviews of Woodchipper Massacre, Black Devil Doll from Hell and hopefully the Witchcraft series?
Ken Foree consistently stands out as a top-tier horror actor. His performance in "Dawn of the Dead" (1978) is particularly memorable, portraying a resilient and tenacious character who faces hordes of zombies and a biker gang. Considering his prowess, why not have him confront the infamous Texan cannibals.
Ken Foree is the only guy who could fight leatherface.
New Line Cinema, actually. And why the change in title card style, though?
Every time I watch this movie, i start cheering for Benny Bad Ass like he's a pro wrestler.
4:35 this picture of Texas lets me know that its not our Texas, but it's somebodys Texas
Please please please do an episode on Death Spa!
What is the name of the synth track used at the very end of Brad’s recent videos?
Maybe Eye of the Tiger will win the poll, someday. For me, that movie is a perfect example of "What is an '80's Action movie?". It's got most of the tropes related and the story is goofy in all the right places. As for TCM3, that was one of the earliest workprints I ever saw, via VHS. I'll just say the workprint was edited differently, and I enjoyed it more than the official release. Much like Rambo 4, actually.
I always got Mortensen confused with McConaughey from the 4th one too
I would love to see more horror films where one no-nonsense unphased badass shows up, has none of the Killer's shit and straigth up fights them.
Three is better than most.
oh please do the original dawn of the dead
