    I hope your tests come back OK. What a colossal difference there now. About 20 years ago I was in Phnom Penh at a hospital and there were literally rats running about the corridors and the toilets were like cesspits. It was beyond filthy. I left before I saw the consultant. In fact, it was his room a rat ran out of! Needless to say, I ran right after it and out the door!

    Yes Kelly. That Royal Angkor Hospital in Siem Reap is the most expensive hospital in the area, unless I am mistaken. I went to that hospital when I was living in Siem Reap in 2017 to see about getting Japanese Encephalitis vaccination.
    They wanted a crazy amount of money. I can’t remember how much exactly…..only that it was so much that I said “No Thankyou” and left.
    If you want vaccinations in Cambodia…..much more cost worthy to go to the Pasteur Institute in Phnom Penh. They have vaccinations for just about everything, at very reasonable cost.

    Yikes, they have many different prices for the CT scan. They should have a price list for all medical procedures too …Is it better to pick Royal hospital as your primary care provider?

      I don't think so. I like Neak Tep, it is cheaper and if they can't do something, they will negotiate for you at one of the larger hospitals.

    Is it true that there are no nursing care for extended stays? I hear that they don't provide food or dressing care and that a friend or relative must bring food and clean clothes or worse bathe you. What if you're single and can't provide these things for yourself?

      Yes, it is true. As for a solution to the problem you brought up, make friends, your Apt manager,next door neighbor.
      I'm not trying to be facetious, but it is a perk to making and having friends, locals or barong.
      I had a spa owner that messaged me when I was in the emergency room, as soon as she closed, she came to visit me and because it was a private room with two beds, she stayed with me all night while I was in the hospital and brought food. My manager brought me my toiletries and clothes, and a buddy brought me water and fruit.
      Don't be a hermit. The people here are true and great

Very professional, kind and also reasonably priced. X-rays were taken, meds were eaten, all is good now. I did go for a full blood test the other day, I thought it was rather expensive but I know now I'm healthy.

    CT scans emit lots of radiation. If you want a full body scan I would recommend MRI. Of course In an emergency etc CT is the only option . I'm curious if there is an option for MRI and the cost over there.

    • @AutumninAsia
      @AutumninAsia  22 дня назад +2

      I didn't see a cost for a full body scan although what I did see was in the video about different areas for a MRI. About $199US each.
