    Tsk Tsk, US ATC could have had perhaps 20 or more controllers, still employed there, but unfortunately refused to accept USAF controllers back in the 90s. As the Berlin wall came down, the Germans system (DFS) asked if we were interested in a job.
    Didn't have to think twice with the benefits we would get compared to the FAA. From day one 6 weeks vacation, being in the German health services (lengthy paid sick leave), working for so many years you're eligible for 4 weeks Spas (and then every 3 years) at beautiful resorts, plus a pension between the ages of 52-55 and a gracious retirement at 63.
    I and all of my colleagues are enjoying life in Europe.
